Had a great experience here last week to smog my car. All the techs working that I came in contact with were very nice. I know I need my filters replaced but when they showed me and I declined for them to change them (I can do it at home) they were not pushy at all or made me feel uncomfortable saying no (which most places do - especially for females). We have two other vehicles that are due for smog as well and will be bringing both of those in here! read more

Tried to sell me a $750 brake service for $1200 and call it a discount. Also tried to upsell on unnecessary fluid change. A $450 difference isn't spare change and when I remarked on the high cost for the service there was no conversation about their pricing and pricing at large. Just a dismissal of my concern. Best case, they overcharge and lack some customer service skills. Worst case they were trying to take advantage of a young woman coming for car service. read more

I took my vehicle in for the replacement of a brake light switch. I informed the technician of the repair I wanted. A very simple repair which at most requires 30 of time. Please reference standards for automotive repair. By all industry standards. I left the vehicle and was notified that repairs were completed at a cost of $330.00. This was $220.00 in labor and diagnosis and repair time (having in mind I had informed them of the problem and what I wanted repaired). I was then charged for a brake light switch Napa part # SL268 Echlin Brake Light At a cost of $103.00. I checked this parts # and found that Napa auto parts retails this part for $46.99. While fully understanding that business need to make a profit. This was A 220% profit. Doing due diligence, I check other automotive repair services for estimates. I received 5 other estimates which ranged from $92-211. If you desire to be mislead, lied to and cheated, please take your automotive problems to RedHawks. You be taken advantage of and cheated. I just had a four wheel alignment done today. I was referred to Redhawk by Discount tire after my new tire installation. My whole experience with Redhawk was pretty positive. The online application was easy and upon check in with Tony, my car was in the bay almost immediately. The service took approximately 40 minutes and I was out the door. The price is also reasonable. Unless you don't mind the fee, beware that there is a 2.5% credit card fee. I would definitely return if I ever need another service. read more

I was told by the B.A.R investigator that Redhawk auto told him that I didn't want to have my car DIAGNOSED that was held hostage for over 50 days. LONGEST HELD IN CAPTIVE BY REDHAWK AUTO POWAY.AND MY G8,HAVENT BEEN DRIVEN 100 MILES SINCE GETTING IT BACK FROM REDHAWK. They DIAGNOSED it enough to. Say it needed a computer, and a new starter, and a few other things, that made my total came out to almost 2500$. I requested the old parts that were gonna be replaced, I only got the computer, they told me it's the one outta my Pontiac G8. Oh and the flat catalytic converter gasket, that they absolutely had to take off in order to put the new starter they said I needed.( I asked for part's, (didn't get it?.) See u next week. Good shop for alignments. I walked in at opening (thanks Mike) and got lucky due to a no show, but looks like appointments are recommended. Newer shop to town, friendly old school service. I rarely leave reviews unless the service is 100% top-notch. Redhawk auto service in Poway is definitely in that category. My daughter and I are driving from San Diego to Fairbanks Alaska in a few weeks. We had scheduled a wheel balance elsewhere only to be told they couldn't remove the tires due to some strange lug nuts they couldnt remove. They referred us to Redhawk Auto Service. Right off the bat the customer service was excellent and they were willing to take the truck and said they would try to remove them and asked what I wanted to replace them with. I said to replace them with anything that would work. Later they called to inform me that not only did they remove the old problem lug nuts but also found identical replacements. Total win-win! I'm not good at describing what the problem was as far as the repair goes, but unless it was fixed, there was no way to change a flat tire if it should happen. Being thousands of miles from home, in the Canadian Rockies, with no cell service and a flat tire is a nightmare we just can't afford to chance. unless these bolts were removed, there was no way to change a flat tire, so these guys were absolutely fantasti. I will never be able to thank them enough. It was my number one worry going into this trip. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have an incredibly talented group of people working there ( Danny Rojas 100%) I should also mention that the price was more than fair and worth every penny. I will return here with my own vehicles when service is needed in the future. That is the best compliment I can give you guys. read more

I brought my 2019 Volkswagen in to have my front brakes and rotors replaced. After completing the job and charging me almost $600 I left. Within a week my brakes started grinding and squeaking, and steering wheel shaking violently. I brought it back and they test drove it and told me they see no signs that anything is wrong. I left and recorded the sound it was making and brought it back. They redid the brake job. After I left for my now 3rd time being there, I start hearing some clunking noises coming from the wheel. I pull over and reach behind the wheel to find my entire caliper shaking. So now I'm here for a 4th time instead of working while they again fix their screw up. I do not recommend this place, and I will be filing complaints. Update to respond to owners response: First off I told your technician I race canyons in my race car. Not my extremely heavy and stock suv. Second off, my suspension being replaced with aftermarket suspension has absolutely nothing to do with any of this, and your technician should have told me when I first got my brakes done that you will not honor the warranty that he was so happy to tell me about because of my suspension. Also brakes don't go bad in a month, I don't care how much driving you do. Clearly there was something wrong. And lastly when you guys did my brakes the last time and I came back 10 minutes later he was able to fix the clunking noice that was not happening before you did the brakes. So either you are trying to cover your ass or your technician is lying to cover his screw up, just like your technician told me you guys had to fire the previous technician that did my brakes. I brought my 340I into Redhawk to get my valve cover replaced because my car was smoking and squeaking. After repair was finished i was told that the valve cover was replaced but car was still smoking and would need to replace the head gasket for an additional 7000. I asked the technician why is smoke still coming out of exhaust if BMW dealership techs told me that valve cover replacement should fix everything. His response was BMW is wrong and misdiagnosed me. I asked him if I could see receipts of parts bought and work done to prove that we are not getting hustled. His response to me was " Mc Donald's does not share there meat prices with average people, why would I show you my prices". Fare enough please redact the prices and show me that. His response was No I don't want to. At that point I called him a F*** ing liar and proceeded to walk out the door. At this point the store manager named Mike proceeded to follow me outside and threatened me and my wife. We got into a verbal exchange which ended with Mike telling me to roll me my windrow down as I pull out of parking lot only to let me know that his shift ends at 5:45 and he will be in the parking lot waiting on me after work.
