I was torn on what to rate the salon & if I should even review the salon at all because I absolutely LOVED my stylist, but my overall experience was not as great as I had hoped for....I was there about a month ago. The parking was awful. I couldn't find a spot for about 10min & the salon called twice first saying I couldn't get all my services & then I might not be able to come at all. When I walked in both staff members at reception barely acknowledged me. After standing there for a few minutes I asked the women if I should check in with her. The woman then called my stylist to the front. My stylist was Kristen. She was very professional, she offered me something to drink as soon as we sat down (they had mimosas which was awesome) and before She took the time to ask questions about what I liked & didn't like about my hair. And a couple different options price-wise as i am a mother of 3 kids & have a traveling work husband it is not always possible for me to get to the salon often enough to maintain my hair. She talked me into doing a balayage instead of highlights as she thought it would better suit my lifestyle & be easier to maintain. I have never been more pleased with my hair. Then there was a wonderful man who gave me a great scalp massage when my color was ready to be rinsed, however the stylists right next to my shampoo chair were talking so loud I could barely relax (not to mention a little to loud for being so inappropriate & personal) I wish he didn't keep getting interrupted by employees about what he had to do next that was also disruptive to the relaxation. After my cut & blow dry... I had scheduled the appointment nearly a month prior to appointment when a friend of mine told me about Kristen. Thank god I saved it in my phone because I never got a confirmation call for my appointment. The woman at the front desk had an awful attitude. She would not let me use my friends 10% off coupon. And I read on Yelp how you receive a gift bag for being a new client yet I didn't get a gift bag. While the front desk is checking me out.... someone keeps coming to the front and interrupting the woman who is checking me out (turns out later when I referred to the website that it was the owner of the salon!!!) I'm really unhappy with the customer service at the salon but never been happier with my hair. I didn't want to even write the review because I didn't want to harm business for the good stylist there, like Kristen. However I think the salon should know that the customer service was certainly below average and not what I was expecting after I read the Yelp reviews! I don't usually write reviews, but my experience at this salon was so great that I just had to rush home and share it with everyone!! I could not be happier with my hair! Let me start off by saying that I have been trying to find the right salon and hairdresser for two years now...since moving down to FL from NJ. I've been to many salons in South Florida and just wasn't getting the color I wish envisioning...no matter how much I paid. So when I found Redhead on yelp, and read all the great reviews, I figured, why not try one more time. So I made an appointment with Michael and let me just say...I could not be any happier with my hair. He made me feel at ease and at home from the moment we met. He is the nicest person and the best hairdresser! He listened to what I wanted made suggestions and viola...worked his magic! My hair looks the best that it has in a very very long time!! OMG! I found the perfect stylist at the best salon! The salon is Redhead and the stylist is Jaci. She does my cut, color and highlights. I came in with good hair. I left with GORGEOUS hair! Jaci is the best. I find her creative, yet consistent And she always listens to what I have to say. If you have good hair, or especially if you don't, it would be worth your while to go see Jaci. I have seen her make average hair look special and good hair look fabulous! Not just when you walk out. The do stays for days and it even looks great when it dries naturally without styling (The sign of a good haircut.) You'll get stopped every where about your hair, like I do now. The salon itself runs on real time which is refreshing. Speaking of refreshments, wine and hot air popped popcorn served free on request! Everyone there is very attentive. I am new to the Davie area. I called on monday (When the salon was closed to see if I could get an appointment) I was astonished when that day a women took the time out to call me back even though they were not open. I was able to be squeezed in the next day! I had Jessica as my hairdresser. I am a natural Brunette but have been dying my hair blonde for years and decided to change it up and go back to my roots. Jessica was amazing! She listened to my concerns about my color and found the perfect match. She was warm and friendly and easy to chat with which is always a plus. I would defiantly come back to get my hair cut and colored here. The staff was friendly and the salon was very clean and easy to find. They even gave me a goody bag when I left because I was a new customer. A wonderful experience and I am so glad I do not have to drive four hours back home just to get my hair done, I have found my new place! read more

As someone who has come down with scalp psoriasis in the last couple of years, I was dreading having to find a new stylist. After weeks of getting up the courage I decided to stop by Redhead Salon after reading all of the good reviews here on Yelp. I'm so glad I did! Tiffany was wonderful. I explained that I had this condition and she made me feel so comfortable! I immediately felt that I was in good hands. My last stylist had also botched my hair pretty bad. She looked at it and immediately made me feel better about the problem. She gave me a great haircut and you couldn't even see were I had previously been butchered in the back. My husband loved my hair too, which makes it even better. I must also add that the receptionist was very nice as was the girl who washed my hair. Just around the corner from my house, I tried Redhead Salon when they first opened and have never gone anywhere else since. Not only do I think Michael is great, but their entire customer service ethic is SPOT ON. From when I call to schedule, "Redhead Salon...Hi, is this Janet? Want an appt with Michael?" (HOW DID THEY KNOW THAT? I think to myself. Caller ID linked with the business mgmt system??)... to when I walk in the door to the shampoo (really a luscious head massage) to the cut that's always perfect.. it is personal, friendly and professional service that is exemplary. I had been with the same stylist for quite some time... One day I went in for a new do and he literally chopped my hair in ways that I cannot even describe. It was horrible and not at all what I wanted. I heard many good things about Redhead Salon and happened to know someone who worked there. I really needed to fix what my former stylist had done so I decided to give them a try. Alexia, who was my stylist at Redhead Salon, did an amazing job!!!!!!! She was professional, stylish and completely transformed my chopped up, horrible hair! I absolutely loved her technique in cutting and will go back to her anytime I need a cut!! LOOVVEE Redhead Salon! I have been going to Redhead Salon for as long as they've been open and have loved them every time! The pampering you get is like going to a spa! I've consistently and very happily had Michael cut and color my hair for the last 7 years (my longest relationship!) and not once have I been disappointed. I love that I can trust him to do what will look best on me, but if I have a particular style in mind he has always made that look amazing too! Not only is he a great stylist but he's always an enjoyable person to spend those three hours with. In addition to the awesome cut and color I get from Michael, Mindy does a great job with threading, and the make-up I've had done over the years always looks wonderful. I am brand new to the area and my hair was in an overgrown and overdue for color state! My appointment was with Jamie and I am so excited I found him! When I called to ask for an appointment I asked for a consultation first. Jamie spent a lot of time looking at my hair and talking to me about different possibilities before he did a thing. I was completely at ease by the time he started working on my hair. the result - I LOVE IT! I love the color - I love the cut! I am not sure my hair has ever looked this great! Redhead Salon is the best salon around. The receptionist is extremely friendly and willing to work with you in order to setup an appointment around your schedule. The atmosphere is super calming and extremely enjoyable. My favorite stylist is Michael. He truly takes the time to get to know each and every one of his clients making each visit special. It is always a pleasure to sit in his chair and catchup. Besides the personal relationship you will form instantly, Michael gives the best haircuts. You can bring in any picture you desire and he can imitate the look no questions asked. When I first went to Red Head Salon I was a walk in. The girl at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful, she introduced me to Charlotte who I now have been going to see for over a year. She really listens to me when I tell her how i want my hair. I don't know any other stylist who can get my hair to its perfection like Charlotte can. My color is a red and use to fade when i went to other stylist but know it barely does. This salon is a friendly, well kept, clean, and fairly priced. I just moved to Florida and needed to find a new hair salon. I chose Redhead Salon and Michael based upon the convenience of location and the reviews I read on Yelp. I had used my previous stylist for about ten years and my daughter's wedding is in two weeks, so I was apprehensive about starting again with someone new. Michael was fantastic! He took the time to discuss what I wanted as far as my hairstyle and my desire to change hair color. This was the first time ever that a stylist understood the texture of my hair and gave me the perfect, most flattering cut. Debbie was my stylist; she was excellent, and she was so very sweet! I work at a restaurant nearby and I got over 10 compliments on my hair from guests, and referred them all to go see Debbie! Not to mention, the overall experience was fabulous! Everyone is very nice. Absolutely LOVE Lisa!! She's exceptionally generous with her time, never makes you feel like she's rushing to her next appointment and always has a smile ready. She walked me through different hairstyles that would suit me and gave me her honest opinion. Seriously, you can't beat what kind of haircut you get for the price that she offers. It's a crazy deal!! i need to expand on an earlier review that I wrote. Jaci of Redhead salon was a life saver. I have color added every six weeks. Due to Covid 19 and my continued need to work, i initially tried my hair color crayon. The next day, Jaci texted me and asked how my family was and did I need any product. I said help. She gave me her address and left me product in her mailbox as well as an application brush. Jaci was a lifesaver and those at work asked how I had colored the parting grey. I had Megan as my hair stylist. I was a little worried at first, but then after getting my hair cut I was super relieved. I'm trying desperately to grow out my hair, but I also wanted to cut it to make it alive and healthy again. Megan did an EXCELLENT job cutting and styling my hair. It looks very healthy again and she actually listened when I told her to cut an inch off at most. She even layered it, and my hair still looks long. I would highly recommend this salon. Mindy is the best hair stylist I've been to in South Florida. She has been cutting and styling my hair for the last three years. Mindy knows how to manage my crazy curly hair in this humidity. I have now taken my sister-in-law, nieces, mom and friend to her. If you are looking for a great stylist I would suggest picking Mindy! She also threads eyebrows by the way. I have been going to Michael at Redhead Salon for about 2 years now. He always makes me experience a great one. I am extremely picky about my hair cut and color (being a blonde) and he always nails it. I get asked all the time by strangers who does the color of my hair and I refer them.
