I've been looking for a place that can cut my curly hair without making it look like the shape of a triangle (for all my curly girls, you know what I mean) and Jaci does just that! She knows exactly how to cut my hair, she listens to what I want, and executes it perfectly. Recently I did high & low lights and absolutely loved it! I was afraid it would damage my hair, but she somehow managed to make my hair look shinier than before. Christine is also wonderful! She washes my hair and even throws in a head & neck massage, which I look forward to every time. They are a great team! I went in for a cut and lowlights. The stylist dry cut my hair super quickly, then started doing foils. I had assumed she was just going to cut some hair off so she'd use less color. She put my foils on super quickly also. She walked away and didn't come back. A young girl finally came after awhile to take me to wash my hair. She did an ok job-a quick little head massage. She then took me back to the chair and started blow drying my hair--simply to get most of the dampness out. The stylist finally came over and finished the drying. I was kind of shocked that she didn't even check the cut once done. She threw a bit of some kind of oil on my hair and was done. The color was like mud. I had asked for some chunky lowlights...I ended up with pretty much an all over color. I left it looking limp and flat. The whole service was about an hour and 10 minutes. I guess she rushed it since I was there close to closing. I figured I'd restyle it at home. The next morning, it was so oily, I washed it. I couldn't do anything with it because the cut was horrible. I immediately called and left a message and emailed the salon. I got an email to come in later that day. Another guy did what he could to fix it. It still is horrible. I haven't worn it down since they messed it up. Also, the color was bad. There is a big splotch of dark brown right under the top layer. I didn't see this till I was going to pull it up I went in with a completely blank slate--my hair was pretty much all white. I left with a really bad disaster. For the $200+ dollars I was charged, I'd expect to love my hair and get much better service. This is anything but a luxury/upscale salon. I'm totally disappointed with the botched job. I HATE it. Crazy..a person's hair is a stylist's business card. I never would've let me leave like that. I won't be back. read more

Jackie is great! She does things kind of differently with a dry cut first then wash and finishes the haircut with shaping. This was the best haircut I've received since moving to south Florida. A week after my appointment I also got a thank you card in the mail. I can tell that they are very intentional at this salon and truly care about their customers. Only downside was that I thought it was a kids salon because that's the only photos that showed up on Google maps. I'm glad I called to make sure they take all ages. read more

I've been going to redhead now for over 3 years and I love it! Everyone at the salon is super friendly and dedicated to giving the best service. My hair stylist is Tiffany. She's the best! She books up fast so I try to make my appointment 3-4 weeks in advance. I've done cuts, colors, and blowouts with Tiffany. I've never left the salon disappointed. Also after any cut or color there's an adjustment period where you can go back and have it tweaked a bit. The day before your appointment they will always call to remind you. The receptionist offers you a drink right after she checks you in. Also if you don't have cash on you for tip, no worries; you can put it towards your total on the credit card and she will give you the cash to give to your stylist. Love this salon! read more

I had a wonderful first time experience today!! I was greeted and taken in at my exact appointment time. My stylist was Aisha. She sat me down and asked me a few questions: what I was trying to accomplish with the cut, what I liked and what I didn't like about past haircuts, and how I usually style my hair. She then shampooed/gave me an awesome head and neck massage! It was very relaxing. Afterwards she asked a few more questions before getting to work. I love that she asked all her questions because that means she actually cares about what I want and what the outcome will be. While she cut my hair she gave me a few pointers here and there, asked a few questions to make conversation, but no annoying small talk and no blabbing about her personal life which some other stylists do that I cannot stand! So it was nice being able to enjoy the pampering without being forced to talk or hear about your pet dog and how he's the best. She then blow dried my hair expertly, leaving no frizz or waves. My hair is so soft and shiny as I type this. After it was dried she carefully examined her work and made a few more snips here and there to make sure my hair was sitting nicely while dry. The end results are great! Layers and angles just like I wanted. After the appointment she walked me out to the front. I was able to make a last minute appointment to get a haircut on a Friday on Mothers Day weekend no less. I was very pleased from the moment I got there. Everyone was super sweet, kind, and professional. They even had yummy cookies at the front desk. :) I was introduced to my hairdresser Kristen. She was awesome! Was unhappy with my hair but they called to apologize and offered to fix it

I've been coming here to have Tiffany cut, color, and style my hair for almost 11 years now. She is fantastic at her job and is very personable as well. Tiffany has always been amazing at giving me the hair cut or color I've been looking for, is extremely patient, open to feedback (if something doesn't look how I want, she's always open to cutting more or trying to accommodate as much as possible). The best part is that I can sit in her chair and trust her with my hair. I don't have to worry with her. She also always somehow remembers how I generally like my hair without me having to remind her. Over the years I have often gotten precision cuts, forehead bangs, and hairstyles that not everyone can do (I know because I've tried other salons and stylists and they do not compare). When I lived in baltimore for 3 years, I would literally come see Tiffany when visiting my family to have her do my hair. She is super talented and just a really nice person. I can't recommend her enough and now my family even gets their hair done by her. Regarding the salon, everyone is always so nice! They are great at following COVID precautions and all staff and clients must wear masks inside. Highly recommend!! read more

i need to expand on an earlier review that I wrote. Jaci of Redhead salon was a life saver. I have color added every six weeks. Due to Covid 19 and my continued need to work, i initially tried my hair color crayon. The next day, Jaci texted me and asked how my family was and did I need any product. I said help. She gave me her address and left me product in her mailbox as well as an application brush. Jaci was a lifesaver and those at work asked how I had colored the parting grey. Let's get this blasphemy out of the way: My wife cuts my hair. There, I admitted it to the world, for all salon people to judge me. That didn't happen here, I just wanted to get that off my chest for all the other salons I've been to who had shamed me. Anyway, my wife was out of the country and so she hadn't cut my hair in a few weeks, and I was looking like a well showered homeless person. And, I was about to board a cruise in Ft Lauderdale and meet new and stylish people who would be basing our 7 day relationship on my looks, and I wanted them to like me. So I give Yelp a consult and Redhead had great reviews. I call them up and am in in 5 minutes. I'm paired up with Michael. We immediately strike up a fun conversation, he's easy going, stylish without being intimidating. But can Michael give a great haircut? I wont' keep you in suspense, the answer is absolutely. Without ever meeting me, Michael gave me the perfect haircut. I did not look like I 'got a haircut', At the end, I looked like my hair had grown naturally into a perfect shape for my face. I was handsome again. I even smelled better and tingled a bit from the shampooing. I had confidence to board my ship and get jiggy on the dance floor. It is now 2 weeks later.... 2 weeks!... My hair grows fast and it's been through snorkling, handfuls of hair gel and even 2 headstands (don't ask). I see my wife for the first time and even after all that abuse she says "Wow you DID get a great haircut". And then we did the mambo, if you know what I mean. Thank you Michael! read more

It's very rare these days to walk into a place of business and be greeted with a "Hello!" and a genuine smile and sense of welcome, but that's exactly what I got when I walked into Redhead Salon. The front desk staff was friendly and courteous, even the girl on the phone made an effort to acknowledge my presence. Big plus. The place was immaculately clean. The waiting area was comfortable and inviting and they had candies and cookies! Another big plus. My appointment was with Michael, who I met at a local restaurant when he commented on my bright red hair and said that I should come see him. A great personality, friendly smile and sense of humor made me agree with him and I took him up on the offer. Now mind you, I'm not a very trusting person when it comes to my hair. I have been butchered in the past by many a "stylist" and fear the chair and the outcome. I also have very specific "funky" and "edgy" demands (remember, I have bright red hair, so no "grandma" cuts here please), so I was going into this with much trepidation. I've heard many times, "Sure, I can do that" or "Yes I can make your hair look like that" only coming out of it looking like some woodland creature decided to eat my hair and/or build a nest in it. But Michael changed my mind! HE IS MY GUY! He listened to what I wanted. Made suggestions. Made adjustments. Talked about 80s music. And gave me probably the BEST haircut I have had in a very very very long time. I am so pleased with the cut that I can't wait to go back! Thanks so much Michael!!! Also, the woman who washed my hair (can't remember her name) massaged my scalp so nicely that there was a moment there when I think I may have reached one of the planes of Nirvana. My salon closed.. I wandered from salon to salon for months and the results were, meh, not so great... I found this place was reviewed by one of my more stylish friends so I decided to give it a try. I am more than satisfied! This is my new place. Jessica did my hair exactly the way I wanted it. Not almost right. Not "I can live with this" right. Exactly perfect. At other salons I've paid at least twice this much for a cut and color, and its taken much, much longer. In an hour and a half I was totally transformed, and on my way out with great hair. Im usually very skeptical about trying new places because I have curly hair and not many people cut curly hair very well but I saw their reviews were pretty good. I made an appt over the phone and was told Aisha knows how to cut curly hair. I went in and was received with a warm welcome. About a few minutes in Aisha came to the front and introduced herself. She cut my hair and suggested I do small layers. I took her advice and I'm glad I did. After the cut it looked great. She then blow dried my hair which is the REAL challenge. She did it in about an hour (it usually takes me three) and it looked AMAZING. First time customers get a little care package and I even got a thank you card in the mail. It was awesome! I was very impressed with this salon. My male boss gets his hair cut at this salon, on a recommendation from another, female, co-worker, and I was always eager to try this salon but never found the time/reason/etc. I was a member of a bridal party this past weekend and with this location so closs to my current work, I will definitely go here the next time I want my hair cut. My hair and makeup was done by Jess and she was excellent. She listened to my concerns about my makeupe and I was very pleased with the final look. Natural, but "popped' enough to stand out in photos. She even agreed to add eyeliner to another bridesmaid who originally declined but became concerned she would look washed out in photos. I liked my hairstyle although I felt the curling made it reminiscent of an 80's prom style, but was what the bride wanted and fell nicely as the day progressed. Additionally, they are a Lock of Love Salon, and although I've heard mixed reviews about Locks of Love, I have been wanting to donate my hair for some time. Again, Jess, my stylist talked to me about the process (length, styling after the cut) and when I decide to donate, perhaps in the next few months, I will almost definitely go to Red Head. FABULOUS!!!!! I called to make an appointment, the receptionists asked me to hold, but unfortunately I had to take another call. The lady called me back and apologized for putting me on hold and missing my call. How very refreshing that was! Good service in South Florida is sooooo difficult to find. On the day of my appointment I arrived on time and did not have to wait, the salon is big, but the way is set up still feels personal. Michael was my hairstylist, he was professional, and simply wonderful He made me feel at easy and he listened to my needs. I came out feeling and looking wonderful. Went here off the yelp hype and I wasn't disappointed. I had to park across the street and walk over because it was so busy. I as told to come back in an hour due to there not being extra stylists available, which sucked, but I live nearby and expected to wait anyways.... When I came back they greeted me by name and offered me a beverage. I had Lexi as my stylist. I told her I just wanted a cut and blowdry. After a shampooing, I came back and it took about fifteen minutes to cut my hair. Se listened to me and really thinned it out well. She even retrimmed the bangs until it was the perfect length. Afterwards, she blow dried it and omg it was so smooth. I've never seen my hair like that before, I couldn't stop touching it! I saw Jessica and couldn't have been happier. I now see her regularly for my hair and wax needs. She is extremely professional and great at listening to what I want and making it a reality! I have been going to redhead salon for about a year now since I moved back to south Florida after college and I absolutely love it! They are always on point. Michael at the salon has taken care of me for just about two years now. I have a full head of fast growing hair - unusual for a guy my age. I've never had anybody cut my hair better. I had given up many years ago, but my GF turned me on to him, and like viola! I have great presentation of my best asset!! So hats off to Micheal, and the salon too. The salon is run very professionally. People do what the say they're going to do!! All appointments have been kept on time, never over-crowded, always get a call reminding me of upcoming appointments, change requests to schedule are accommodated, etc.!! Upon calling Redhead Salon and talking to the receptionist I was more than pleased and knew it was a fit....she was so friendly and helpful saying she knew exactly which stylist was a fit upon hearing what I was wanting. I got in within the week for a cut/color/hi lights. Meghan, the stylist, was just what I was hoping for. She listened, gave options, and then explained why she did things. LOVE my hair! Natural redhead and it's nearly impossible to find someone who enhances the natural vs making it look fake and Meghan gave me exactly what I wanted....covering up "sparkles/grays" that were bothering me and some beautiful highlights. This review is based on an updo by Jamie. I had been in search of a stylist that is great at updos when I found Redhead Salon on Yelp and based on their great reviews and my bad experience at a previous salon I decided to give them a call for a consultation and I'm so glad I did! The receptionist that answered the phone was very attentive and asked me all the right questions and based on what I needed she recommended Jamie. She set up a consultation for the following day and booked for a trial that Saturday (Halloween) just in case. When I arrived at the salon I was greeted and even though Jamie was busy with a client he came straight away, introduced himself, told me he'll be with me shortly and offered me a drink. The consultation went great, he took his time and answered my questions and we both agreed that a trial is a good idea so he can work with my hair. My trial went really well, Jamie listened to what I wanted and he even turned my trial updo into a great style for the Halloween party I was going to and I kept getting compliments about my hair all night! My final updo on the day of the event I was going to was even better than I expected, it lasted all night, it looked great even after all the dancing and sweating! I just checked my mail and I've received a personal thank you card and a coupon to use later! That was a very nice surprise.
