Although the food is OK, the menu states the burgers are 1/3 lb. I doubt the patty is a 1/6 lb. The fries are pretty greasy and the arrived just barely warm. It appears the cooks are more concerned about just getting the food out fast not warm. The wait staff don't check afterwards to see if everything is ok. We live in the area and had been excited to go here we love to support local businesses. It was the absolute worst dining experiences I've ever had and I visit a lot of restaurants from high end to dive bars. This is the first time I've ever given a 1 star review and I think it was wholly earned! Started with being told sit where you'd like but going to table after table that was still dirty (dishes cleared but not wiped down). When the person did wipe the tables down you could see the towel being used was dirty. Ordered their steak dinner which seemed like a great value 12 oz rib-eye and shrimp with mashed potatoes. Steak was thin, tough and I took one bite did not eat anymore. Mashed potatoes were covered in what taste like a canned brown gravy.The clam chowder was quite runny, I sent back the chowder and ordered chili which was cold but still somewhat tasty, my wife's salad had brown lettuce leaves in it and flies kept buzzing our table. Gross! I would strongly suggest going to Beavercreek Saloon/Kissin Kate's Restaurant or Renee's In Oregon City both of which are in the area and both are extremely good with great service! The server took off a whole $5 dollars on a $40 dollar tab which made me laugh as that's really just kind of an insult given the situation (granted I did say I would pay I'll give them credit for trying) we left and went somewhere else to have dinner leaving entirely full plates sitting on the table. Just had breakfast!! It was great! I had the veggie omelette subbed salsa for the cheese! $12 and it came with a heaping pile of perfectly cooked hash browns and grain toast. My son had the French toast and it was made in a thick French type bread. We will be back next weekend again. So nice to have hot food indoors. This place is a couple of miles from hwy 213. I'd give zero stars if I could!! So many locals rave about the food here and it's mediocre. Greasy spoon cheap low quality. I think they just want to be loyal to the only establishment in Redland but downtown OC has much more to offer and it's only a 10 min drive. The prime rib was flat out raw. The place was packed wall to wall and no social distancing or mask enforcement was taking place.

I've been here for breakfast a couple of times and today was the first day I came for dinner. I got the Captain's Platter- breaded fish, breaded shrimp, breaded clam strips, coleslaw, and choice of potato (I got baked). All of the seafood was excellent. The coleslaw was a little too mayonnaisey (is that a word? It is now). The potato was good (even though I accidentally spilled some grape jam on it). The coffee tasted a little weird but I couldn't figure out what was weird about it. The service was fast and our server was nice. All-in-all, I'd recommend it. read more

Oh man was this a HORRIBLE experience. First off this place followed absolutely no COVID guidelines. People were seating at all the tables very close together it was packed. Some staff did not have masks on and they had the pool tables open without any cleaning between customers. (I was also hit in the head with a pool cue because I was so close). After sitting down we waiting over 15min and still did not receive menu's so we walked up to the bar to ask for them ourselves. Another 20min passed before our sever even came over to greet us. After taking our food and drink order we then again waited another 15-20min before even receiving our drinks. After getting our food everyone was pretty disappointed. I ordered the Alfredo and the noodles were very overcooked almost mush. My friend got the chicken strips and said they were soggy and gross. Mine came with a side salad which I did not receive and had to ask for. My husband also asked for a side salad and never received it either but of course was charged for it and had to ask for it to be removed. One person in our group never even got his food. Then we were completely ignored the rest of the visit. Waited and waited and waited for the check so we could get the hell out of there and had to wave down the server. I asked for a box as well but of course did not receive it. I will not be coming back and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Service is amazing; the bar tender was very accepting of a fast order and I felt I couldn't tip enough! We had a late lunch here. We both had the daily special, a third -of -a pound hamburger with fries. Both of us thought the hamburger was one of the best that we had ever had. It was juicy and delicious. The pickles on it really added to the flavor. The fries that came with it were great also. They were covered in Panko and very moist and delicious. Let me tell ya folks this is the best BBQ joint in town. I am serious here. I work in Perl and and frequent in Podhna's and Russel St.'s. But come Thursday, and I am @ the Redland Bar and Lounge. They do BBQ every Thursday (not every day, no), and the parking lot is always full on Thursdays. Also, their signature hamburger is pretty darn good. My family and I were so disappointed after eating here. My son and I ordered the chicken club sandwich and I got the onion rings. The sandwich was disgusting. It was like eating a slimy mayonnaise sandwich. It had no crunch or flavor. Just soggy. My onion rings weren't cooked crunchy and fell apart while trying to eat them. My husband had the fried chicken dinner. It was over cooked and hard. Our server was good though. Total waste of $48. I will never set foot in there again. We are still burping up the nastiness! The fish and chips are way overcooked. I struggled through a over deep fried fillet and a few over deep fried skinny fries just to not look repulsed. I wouldn't have ate any of it if I was alone. I even tried removing the batter and it just tasted like oil, Seriously owners,fix this. Cook the fish un-battered in a cast iron pan with some lemon. There were 3 nice pieces but they were inedible after deep frying. I would have happily waited a few more minutes for fish and English style fat chips I could eat on a real plate. Redland Cafe is one of those places where everyone is welcome, and their food is the best ever. Super huge menu, and all the employees are great. We love to go on Sundays and get breakfast on the bar side. We moved out to this area about a year ago, and as newcomers to the community Redland Cafe quickly became our favorite hangout spot. Great job to everyone there, and to every employee for creating a friendly atmosphere with awesome food.
