Needed to get a catalytic converter replaced and was referred to RedMuff by a friend. The guys were great from the moment we came in to when we left with the replaced cats. The recommended parts have been solid and no codes since being replaced and miles out on them. Apparently our model can be overly picky when it comes to replacement converters but the ones that were recommend, heavy duty versions, are just what was needed. Old school feel inside the office when paying for the services made us happy to bring business here. Redlands muffler installed a flowmaster 40 on my F250. They installed is backwards!!!! Restricting the flow. My truck came with 3in exhaust , they installed 2.5 exhaust pipes. Restricting the flow again And they charge me over five hundred dollars I would not recommend the shop to anybody They also gave me a price to do job Is I accepted the price After they ripped out my factory exhaust they raised the price DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!!!! read more

Wow. So check this out. I am very into my vehicles and constantly looking into aftermarket products. I am currently in the market looking for a specific muffler/exhaust system install. However unfortunately they did not carry my specific brand, which is not an issue at all.... what was an issue is when I simply asked for a quote/estimate and was talked down upon by a gentleman by the name of "Frank" unless I miss heard for another. He had answered the phone after being offered the phone by the kind lady I had spoke to before. "Frank" had picked up the phone and immediately asked what I was looking for. I replied with my brand I had done some research on, and he bluntly replied with "no, don't carry that." I was bummed out but nonetheless I had asked what other brands they carry and if I could get an estimate on my truck. "Frank" in a unenthusiastic, slow, dragging and disrespectful tone over the phone had begun to list out brands he had carried. I know that I am young for being 22 but talking to me like a child is definitely not a way to deal with customers. Especially a customer that was willing to give you a full review and an opportunity for business. Surely I know people have their bad days and of course it is a Friday afternoon at 1:25 pm but for the disrespectful and unnecessary conversation, I cannot see myself wanting to take a visit to Redlands muffler. Had work done there a while back, they did a great job. I have a manifold leak and decided to bring my vehicle back. When I showed up The man I dealt with the first time was not there seem to be a different staff, I told him what was going on and you told me I have to bring it back first thing in the morning didn't even bother to look or see what was going on. Was recommended to come here after I got my catalytic converter stolen on my car. The guy Fred called all around and unfortunately the part I need is on back order. Recommended to put in a pipe to make the noise non existed and charged $100 for it, and said he'll give me that money back wen they get the part in, took less than 30 minutes to do. These guys here are very straight forward and do what they can to ease the situation until they get the part in. This is THE "go-to" place in the Inland Empire for installation of mufflers and smog equipment, aka "catalytic converters." These guys know what they're doing. They are fast, efficient, skilled, and reasonably priced too. My car didn't pass smog inspection and the smog shop suspected that there might be a problem with the cat, but the "check engine" light wasn't on, so we couldn't be sure. "The check engine" light finally did go on and so I took my car to Redlands Muffler to confirm the problem. Alex, the owner's grandson, diagnosed the problem in about two seconds flat and confirmed that the car did indeed need a new cat. He gave me very clear instructions and advice concerning the ordering of a new cat and he was so friendly and helpful. Robert did the actual installation and this guy really is a total master. I took my car back to the smog shop after the installation, my car passed inspection right away, and they examined the new cat and told me that they were "very impressed" by Robert's work. That should tell you everything you need to know about these guys. Best news of all: The guys at Redlands Muffler had initially quoted me $200 for the cat installation, but Robert only charged me $80 since he said it was a "pretty easy one" to install! Being charged less than half the initial quote is unheard of, right? Talk about honesty! And I didn't want to pick up my car when Robert called me to let me know it was ready since it was raining so hard at the time and Robert let me leave it there overnight with no arguments whatsoever! Working with Redlands Muffler was an outstanding experience overall. Make sure to ask for Robert to do your work. He is a true master of his craft and he went way above and beyond for me, which is a total rarity nowadays. And by the way, Redlands Muffler is located in the rear of another business and the sign in front clearly tells you that. I recently brought my car in to Redlands Muffler. They don't have a front door entrance. You have to pull around back and walk through the garage. No big deal. I explained the problem with my car. Mechanic said he would take a look. Then walked me into the front office and had me write my name and phone number on a piece of paper. I asked if he would call me to confirm the problem and for a cost estimate/approval before proceeding with the work. He said he would. I also asked if I could expect to hear back from him later that afternoon. He responded "definitely". Keep in my I dropped it off Friday around 11am. So, I figured I would hear something by 4/5pm. Flash forward to Monday with no call back. So I had to call myself, no answer. So I walked, seeing as I lived a few blocks away. Again, had to walk around back. Same gentlemen is in the back working. I greet him and ask him about my car. He says "yes, it's finished. It was done Friday" I politely responded with "how come nobody called me? Even for the estimate" he said "they must have forgot" I paid the $159 for the repair and was on my way. I love to support local businesses, but I doubt I'll be back to Redlands Muffler. read more

Great experience. I got my muffler chopped and replaced with a glasspack, only set me back $150 and a few hours. They got it done so quick and had me in and out in such short time. I highly recommend this place The (I'm assuming) owner is a little off with interaction, he doesn't really have a "customer service" face and isn't the best at talking over the phone, he wasn't rude or anything to me in any of our interactions, but he just talks like an annoyed grandpa. But to be fair, this isn't a Sephora, this is a muffler shop. You bring your car in, get it worked on, and pay up. Better communication with the guy who's working on my car would have been appreciated, but I'm sure he's been doing this for years and I bet he owns the place so it's his call. read more

Had a resonator installed here today and had to pay $50 (I brought my own that I ordered). I've called other shops and there were either no answer or it couldn't be done the same day of calling (11am called). I even had one shop tell me it would be $135 - even if I brought my part... I arrive and one of the mechanics told me it's gonna be a wait since he was helping someone else. I only waited about 8 minutes until he finished the other customer. He then had me get my car on the lift, I gave them resonator, he worked real quick and got it ALL done in about ELEVEN minutes... The weld was clean, the install was complete, and I was happy that I paid $50 for my install and for only ELEVEN minutes of my time - versus having to wait somewhere else and be told I need to pay more than $50. Nice guy as well. Appreciate their service and will be back for future exhaust needs. read more

One of the hangars for an aftermarket muffler snapped off, he offered to weld it back on, but when I asked a million questions about a more sensible and long lasting solution, they weren't pushy. I ended up scrapping the old system (we bought the car like this) and going with a quieter and permanent solution that was within my budget. He had me out of there is less than 30 minutes. read more

I couldn't be happier with the service I received here. I had a shorty pipe installed on my motorcycle and they did EXACTLY what I was hoping for. Showed them some pics and they nailed it. They had me sit on the bike several times through the process to make sure it wasn't too close to my boot etc. They even fabricated a bracket for extra support that they didn't need to do. Came in today because my hanger had snapped earlier in the day and one side of my exhaust was hanging, the guy was super friendly, right away got my car up on the lift and got right to work, and just as quickly as he got it on the lift it was done! He told me I he would add a brace to the hanger that snapped just to make sure it wouldn't snap so easily and charged me only $20! Then told me he added a brace to the other hanger just Incase, talk about going the extra mile for your customer! Aside from the service the shop was VERY clean and neat, everything was well organized! What some people don't realize is that the shops cleanliness can sometimes discourage customers from getting work there. Avoid this place. A few weeks back, I went to go get a quote to have a cat installed. I pulled in front and noticed a sign that said 'dont even think of parking here' and 'smog shop in rear'. So I drove around back and this place is honestly a house with a big driveway and a few lifts in the back. One of the workers saw me but didn't acknowledge me for a few minutes and just made me stand there (theres no waiting room, etc.....just a concrete lot) After a few minutes I shouted to him and he finally came over and I told him what I wanted done. He made ME drive my own car onto the lift (HUGE RED FLAG), even after I said I would be more comfortable if he did it....but he insisted I do it MYSELF. After I get on the lift, another guy comes out and looks at my car for a minute and tells me the price. I said I would come back when I had the money to get the service done. Of course, they made ME back my car off the lift as well. ****** Today 7/25**** I pulled in this afternoon around 2:30. They had cars on the lifts and I noticed the same 2 people from last time. I parked and walked up near the lifts. They looked at me several times but just kept on doing what they were doing. At one point, a worker stopped, walked to toggle a welder, which I was sure he was going to approach me, but then went right back to work. I stood there for about 5 minutes without even getting greeted or acknowledged. I got back in my car and took my business elsewhere. Get with the times people. Customer satisfaction and reputation are a huge part of running a business, and its something these guys know nothing about. Its obvious they hate their jobs, so I suggest the owner get people in there who want to work and who know how to talk to people. Take your business elsewhere. Didn't even deserve one star, this place is horrible. Two incidences have sparked this review in order to keep others from suffering the same terrible, or lack of, customer service and poor workmanship. First time they put the wrong cats on and I suffered through dmv visits, smog checks, and other issues until I finally it was discovered the wrong cats were put it. When we returned to inform them they put the wrong cats on they pulled out a book and tried to prove they were right. Long story short he (old man grumpy) was wrong and made me feel like a criminal for just wanting the proper part. The second incident was a simple muffler attachment that had come loose and needed to be secured. It got done but was crooked and WAAAAAY too low and made my car look like it had a silver ice chest dangling for a muffler. On inspection all that needed to be done was a shortening of the mounting arm which would have taken maybe 10 minutes. This all after waiting for an hour extra while nothing seemed to be happening. Bottom line stay away, unless you want a tilted low hanging muffler and terrible customer service. read more

DON'T GO HERE!!! The owner quoted me $400 and said no more then $450. For a catalytic converter and O2 sensor. When I picked it up the bill was for over $680. I said that's not what you quoted and reminded him of our conversation from the day before. He said parts were more and with anger said he would take $500 as full payment. I was not happy, but agreed and paid him. The next day I drove 100 miles to reset the ODM to get a smog. The check engine lights where off after the repair but, It failed. The smog guy said they welded on the wrong cat and could not pass me. $45 down the drain. I went back to redlands muffler and told him what happened. I asked if he would pay for the $45 for the smog fail because he put in the wrong part. He said " F*@% You I'm not giving you shit" he said it was not his fault because the parts house he ordered from put the wrong part in the box and he ordered the right part. I told him it was not my fault he did not check his parts before installing them on my car and he had cost me have to drive another 100 miles in gas and time to reset the ODM and $45 for the smog as well as wasting a whole day because of his shop. He said F*@% OFF you can sue me. They then put in the right part and I got a smog to pass. 2 days later the check engine lights are back on because the new O2 sensor wires got burned from the welding of the second catalytic converter. I called his shop again and he said to go somewhere else. What a nightmare. This old man has lost his mind and will soon lose all of his customers for doing such bad business. Stay away from this hustler and go to a legitimate shop. read more

They have me a quick price over the phone. They were about $40 bucks cheaper than a San Bernardino shop. Awesome, so it was easy to keep business local. I have gone here on multiple occasions and usually i get treated really well. The workers are always nice and do good work. But this last time the owner helped me out and thats where it all went wrong. I told him how i wanted something welded, and he didnt even bother listening to me. so when i came back to pick up what i wanted welded he gave me attitude cause he said i told him wrong. He didnt say anything and just walked away and shout come back in an hour and i will have it fixed. well i came back and it was worse than before. it was crooked and very poorly done. it was him doing the work and you could see he didnt care about his work and that he just wanted to get rid of me. I am saying avoid this place due to the lack of communication with the owner to his customers, the lack of respect he has for the customer, and the lack of professionalism this guy has. read more

I had all the specific muffler, electric dumps and Items I wanted to have installed, As I waited they took other jobs and completed them, The person who was doing the work disregarded what I asked him to do and completed the work with out regard to what I had asked, We pulled the car off the rack and the idler arm was hitting the exhaust, he then comenced to beat the crap out of the pipe to get the clearance, looks like shit.
