This place is so great. Usually eye doctor offices are cramped and small, but this place was nice a big. They had a very good selection of frames and helped me pick out two that I love. The doctor was really amazing with my 4 year old son, very patient and helpful. For my own eye exam, she was super great, explaining everything in an easy to understand way and listening to my concerns. She never made me feel a question was stupid or obvious. They're really nice and helpful. I went in because I broke part of my frame on half rimmed glasses. The lady at the front desk told me she'd get him to work on it. The guy who seemed to be the owner came out with my fixed glasses in five minutes or less and gave them to me free of charge. I really appreciate the generosity. read more

So grateful I Yelped this place. One side of my frames were slightly bent, and I wasn't sure if there was an optometrist nearby. Typed in optometry & voila, Redlands Optometry Group popped up less than 2 miles away. The front desk kindly looked at the glasses, told me someone would look at it, and asked me to wait. 2 minutes later, they hand back my glasses, good as new. Talk about customer service. Thank you! They're very friendly, helpful, and professional. Dr. Matejka is very good. They take VSP Insurance, and are very helpful in recommending eye care. The price range can vary depending upon the person. If the glasses frames were cars, they have everything from a Corolla, to the top of the line Mercedes. More importantly, they also have safety glasses available. I'm an amature woodworker, and use equipment that could have things fly up into my eyes. My eyesight was a no change, but wanted safety glasses. They showed me a beautiful pair, that will be just right for my use. read more

After reading reviews I went to Redlands Optometry Group to get my glasses. I was greeted with respect and assisted by a very professional and knowledgeable gentleman who helped me make the right decision on my lenses for my needs. ONLY GO HERE IF YOU DON'T MIND WASTING A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR GLASSES YOU CAN'T USE!!! I wish I would have never gone here. I've been having to deal with this practice over the past 4 months, with numerous visits to their office and not once have the receptionists been friendly or welcoming. Between myself and my family, we've seen all the doctors, no issues with them. However, the male tech who helps you order your frames is a mess, uninformative to say the least. My adult son, purchased an expensive pair of sunglass frames to use for his eyeglass frames. The tech never warned him that they could be damaged and that they don't guarantee the work. And yes, they broke the $275.00 frames. The same tech never advised me that due to my RX strength that I should be careful about the size of my new frames, that the larger they are the more distorted my vision could be. The frames were only slightly larger than my previous Walmart pair that I never had issues with, yet I can't see a thing out of them and now they are refusing to do anything about it, because after all my eyes have been bad for years and I should have known this could happen. What?! Really? No, I didn't know that, because I've never had this happen before. They told me that my insurance wouldn't cover another pair either so if I wanted to take the chance, I could purchase another frame and lenses at full price. Wow, thanks Redlands Optometry Group, you guys are awesome!!!! read more

In general, Redlands Optometry Group is excellent. Great service. The doctors listen (at least mine does) and it is clear she familiarized herself with my file prior to the visit. Very impressive these days. My only suggestions are due to adjustments to operations that have been or should be made due to Covid. First, the main entrance is locked and there is a notice posted with a phone number to text when you arrive. The problem with this is that it is based on the presupposition that everyone has a cell phone, has it with them, and is adept at using it. This isn't the case, especially with the elderly. I think someone should be manning the front door. Greeting customers and making them feel welcome should be number one. And the other issue is that during all the preliminary eye testing, as I had to place my chin and forehead against several different machines with my eyes in close proximity to glass and with my hand on a button, I couldn't help but wonder if all the surfaces had been sanitized after the last patient ( I do remember one visit several years ago when I could clearly see fingerprints all over the glass where the eyes go-- so much so it impeded my ability to see the screen and I had to ask for it to be wiped. Most visits, however, it does appear clean). Hopefully the staff is cleaning and sanitizing the machine surfaces after each use, but I think it is also important to make a point of assuring the customers that this is being done before we stick our face and hands on it. Overall, this is a great office I would recommend. read more

Went in had my exam done and couldn't stay for glasses so I came back the next day. They said it would be two weeks to have my glasses made so I figured I would pick out a frame and then take them to Lens Crafters. Got to Lens Crafters and they said the frame I picked out were to small for my progressive lens. I had them make them to see if I could live with them since they have a 30 day money back guarantee. Well as it turns out, they know what they are talking about and no, the lens did not work. I went back to ROG and the girl at the counter did not know the return policy, she rudely huffed of to "go check". She came back and said no refund of any kind since it had been two weeks. Baffled I ask why, "These are used" as she shook them in her hand and said in most ugly Elaine (Sinefield) voice! I was so stunned and shocked she would talk to anyone that way, especially a customer. I simply walked out as not to make a scene. I have four other family members who need exams and glasses/contacts. I will NEVER step foot in this place again and I will tell every person at yoga, at coffee at both kids school at church and kickboxing at the Harley store at everywhere I go to avoid this place. Hope no one else makes a mistake on frames or lenses here because apparently all sales are FINAL. Please, Lens Crafters rocked it and they were super nice and friendly. read more

I made the mistake of going here twice, thinking I'd give them a second chance. The second time there, it took 3 people to come in before anyone bothered to check us in. Then they sent a student to do the exam because the Dr was with other pts. I should be told when I make an appt that this may happen. Then when I needed a script to refill my eye drops, the Dr doesn't write the script properly, leaves off the directions on how to take. When my pharmacy calls them to clarify the order, they tell them they're too busy and may they'll get around to it tomorrow. It's eye drops not Vicodin, give me a break. Especially since it was the Dr.'s fault to begin with, learn to write a proper script. It must be because she was too busy in the first place to write 1-2 drops each eye BID. That's what I get for giving them a second chance. read more

Not very happy with this place!! I am a regular customer have been for some time now and when I went to purchase contacts over the phone, which I have done in the past, I was told because it was to much ($284.00) I had to pay half. Not only have I spent more then $1000 dollars there on contacts and glasses but the manager wouldn't allow me to pay for them when I picked them up. This may seem petty to some but I am a busy mom and was driving at the time and had to pull over to get out my credit card info to give it to them in order to get my contacts filled. NOT only do they not trust the clients that they service but the person on the phone was tacky and didn't even read my order back to me. I had to call them back and confirm that the correct contacts were ordered that I had just payed for in full. Very disappointed that a glasses place thinks someone ordering contacts because they need them isn't going to pay for them and makes a customer pay half of the order up front. read more

This is the first eye place I have gone to where I didn't feel pressure to settle for the prescription I 'thought" was good at time of the exam. Dr. Ma has been so patient with me and I feel like i have finally gotten the perfect prescription.
