Finally got the Title in the mail. When I went to the DMV, the Title was not signed by them, so I had to go back to Vancouver from Beaverton to get them to sign the Title. When I said I wasn't happy about the inconvenience, I was I was full of bulls** and to leave. So, I would say my experience has shown they are incompetent and rude. I would not buy from there again. I have been really inconvenienced and treated poorly. Never once did I receive an apology.

Met a "dealer", likely a curbstoner, named Raymond "Victor" Cianci of Aman Corp. on Craigslist. I…read morelearned later that he is a former employee of J&M Auto Sales. His long time friend, Jeremy, who works here was there the day that Ray brought me to sign papers for the car he had posted on Craigslist. Ray was up front that he did not work for this dealership and that he was friends with the business. Ray sold me a 2004 Honda Odyssey. I knew it had transmission issues almost immediately after taking it on sustained highway speeds, and had it looked at by Bill's on highway 99, who confirmed the issues, as well as the Honda dealership in Hillsboro. Ray signed on the bill of sale that he would buy back the vehicle within 7 days, but he ignored and avoided my phone calls for the entire week, also telling me that he was out of town even as he was meeting with other people I knew to try to sell them more presumably broken cars. To his credit, Jeremy was a very friendly guy when I showed up. He took me to the back room and offered me a "dab", which is essentially hash oil. He then offered to sell me some weed that he told me his family is growing in California, and gave me some for free, which I was grateful for. After I couldn't get a hold of Ray for a week, I was stuck in Vancouver and stranded with a van with a bad transmission and an ignition lock that stopped turning after a week. I went to ask Jeremy to buy the van back and get the money from his friend Ray. Jeremy informed me that he was not legally responsible to do anything. I told him he may be correct, but there was definitely an ethical responsibility because he was letting an unlicensed dealer sell cars from his lot. He told me he was sure that Ray was indeed licensed, but could not provide me with the dealer number and was even baffled that Ray had not signed his name anywhere on the papers. Jeremy offered to replace the transmission for $500 or trade in the Honda for a different car on the lot. I asked him to put himself in my shoes. I was trying to get out of town and I could not risk another bum car. I needed the money because at that point I had resolved to cut my losses and rent a car to head south, which I ended up doing. These two were friends and the entire thing was very shady. I asked him to just buy the van back and deal with Ray, but he refused. He told me that he would definitely give me a statement if I decided to pursue legal action against Ray, called him up on the phone, and when he informed Ray I was there on the lot, Ray hung up the phone. Jeremy let me know he would call ray that night and call me back the same night. It's been over a week and I have not heard from either of them. I let Jeremy know that I would be leaving a review on the business and he told me that was fine, just don't lie. So, here it is. Unless you are mechanically inclined, a mechanic, or know someone mechanically inclined to help you look for a vehicle, I would stay away from this place. It is bad news in my experience. However, I did give them one extra star because the weed Jeremy was selling out of the lot was actually pretty decent. If you are looking for a car and dealers who won't give you any problems, I cannot recommend this lot. If you are looking for decent weed at a fair price and you don't want to be ID'd, go talk to Jeremy. But the prices at the Herbery are definitely better.

Some cars were in fantastic condition, others not so much. He did it on his own and I am so happy and proud of him for working hard, saving money and getting a bank loan on his own to cover the difference. ** Look at the description in the ad I have attached for the truck. Pay close attention to line after line of total LIES.**. They took $15 thousand of my sons money and this truck didn't even make it home to our house. It broke down on the freeway, at night, in the rain, during rush hour. The engine shut off and left him stranded in the middle of the freeway. He was able to get it to the inside lane where it sat for hours on end until we could have it towed. The next day we had it towed back to Vancouver Auto Center and they had it sent out to service. A MONTH later he gets it back and drives it home. The truck wouldn't even start after that. Did I mention that Mo wanted to SPLIT the cost of the repair? He wouldn't even voluntarily honor his word. It wasn't until after some debated conversation he said he would cover it.... And the truck still doesn't even work. Mo is a manipulative type "A" personality who rolls everything back onto the customer as if ANY of this is my sons fault. They saw him coming a mile away and took advantage of him. He is a very responsible and respectful young man and it makes my blood boil that after four months, countless hours of issues and tow trucks and a ton of extra cash he is still without a dependable vehicle. Vancouver Auto Center should be ashamed. This is shameful. Please take your business elsewhere. Mo owes us $15k, plus extras. My son is borrowing a car and has a loan on a truck that he cant even use. Go back and read the ad about this "solid dependable" garbage. And to you Mo, none of this is my sons fault. When you speak to him dont cut him down and make him feel like an idiot because he had never bought a car before. This is on you. 100% on you. Shame on you. I'd give you zero stars if Google would allow it but you get one. Thats all you get.

If you value your time, your wallet, or your sanity, stay far away from Vancouver Toyota. Lack of Expertise For a dealership, their lack of basic automotive knowledge is staggering. I went in with specific concerns, and it felt like I was explaining vehicle mechanics to people who had never seen an engine before. They are quick to suggest expensive "fixes" without actually diagnosing the root cause. It's clear they prioritize sales over actual mechanical competence. Management Issues The leadership here is where the real problems start: * Chance (Manager): I have never encountered a manager so unprofessional. Chance is an absolute bully who defaults to being rude and condescending the moment you ask a follow-up question. Instead of de-escalating issues, he uses intimidation tactics to shut customers down. * Lori (Customer Relations Manager): You'd think the person in charge of "relations" would have a shred of empathy, but Lori was even worse. She talks down to customers like they're a nuisance. During our interaction, it was painfully obvious she was more concerned about clocking out and getting off work than actually resolving my problem. Final Verdict The culture here is toxic. From the service bay to the front office, there is a complete disregard for customer care. They don't want to help you; they just want you to pay up and go away so they can go home. Save yourself the headache--go literally anywhere else.

I bought the vehicle site unseen from the other side of the country. I dealt directly with Pat and he was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, which due to the long distance ended up taking quite some time to complete. Never once did Pat try to take my money until he knew that I was completely satisfied with the deal. In my very first conversation with Pat about the Vanagon he disclosed what I have found to be the only blemish on the vehicle which is a tiny bubble in the paint about half the size of a dime. In our first conversation, Pat had urged me to find someone to at least come and check out the Vanagon for me. Eventually I hired a car inspection company to inspect the vehicle and to write up a lengthy report. Pat also insisted that the vehicle was brought to a mechanic for a once over and to replace a light bulb. The Vanagon was eventually shipped across country and it exceeded all of my expectations. The van was pristine. No smoke and mirrors. The twenty five photos that Pat had posted didn't even do it justice. Even after the purchase, Pat has been very supportive, following up and asking if there was anything that I needed. He even went so far as to ordering me a new interior light (which wasn't even broken but had a slightly sticky switch). If you are looking for a used car in the Vancouver/Portland area or from anywhere in the country, definitely check in with Pat Moore Quality Cars. These guys are the real deal. Pat is the easiest, nicest guy to deal with and I'm sure his entire staff is the same way. He made what could have been a terrible experience into a smooth and enjoyable one. I couldn't recommend these guys any more. A+++++ Nick B

It had a few very minor scratches that were documented. I inspected the car first thing and it looked good and I asked to take it out for a drive and we began some paperwork to make it happen. The salesperson pulled the SUV into a receiving area for my test drive. While getting in, I noticed multiple vertical deep scratches on the driver's side door I hadn't noticed when I did my preliminary walkaround inspection just 20 minutes earlier. They were actually more serious than any of the minor documented scratches disclosed when the vehicle was shipped so I didn't understand how they could have been missed. I mentioned it to the sales rep upon return and was promptly dismissed. He didn't seem concerned at all and urgently ran off to return the car to the secure lot. Maybe they became more noticeable from the different lighting and direct sunlight. He mentioned later that he had trouble putting the lockbox back on the window because it kept rolling back down while he was trying to resecure it in the full up position. The plastic wind guard trim didn't help, Im sure. Apparently the car was detecting the lockbox as an obstruction as if there was a finger in the way triggering it to fully retract as a safety feature automatically, taking the lockbox down with it. I didn't think much about his comment at first, but put it all together after the fact. When the window was rolled down, the heavy lockbox Carmax struggled to hang on the window glass scratched the door...multiple times as they were fussing with it. The scratches are vertically aligned and exactly below where the lockbox was. Most scratches are horizontal, so these were odd looking. They weren't disclosed in the car listing because the car was most likely damaged in the care of Carmax after I paid to have it shipped. Since I am already into the car for shipping costs, no matter what I do, even if I return it, I'm out at least the $800 I sunk in shipping. So even walking away would be really expensive. The 2023 SUV only had 5K miles on it. Now I own it, and it looks like hell. I'm actually ill over this for not being more assertive. They ruined a really great SUV and stuck me with their sloppy damage and negligence. It looks like it was aggressively keyed. What I ordered and shipped, wasn't what I got. Now I get to drive it around, potentially for years, looking like someone who gets their car keyed. BUYER BEWARE. Don't give Carmax ANY money in advance. Don't have a car shipped. Just wait for the right one to pop up locally. Before you drive away, do a final inspection and match up any damage with what was originally disclosed.
