Honestly, pretty underwhelming. There weren't enough scare actors inside the haunt rooms, and there was way too much dead space between scenes. Outside the houses, there weren't any roaming actors either, which is usually one of my favorite parts. The scariest things of the night ended up being the cockroaches flying around and landing on people. A few actors even warned us to watch out for copperheads and a rat... not exactly the spooky vibe I was hoping for. Overall, it was just meh more creepy crawlies than actual scares. read more

I went today for some friends and we were told to leave because friend was acting "drunk and can't stand straight and we were getting complaints from other workers/visitors which didn't make sense because we where there for an hour before this interaction and she is 17 and and wearing heels, they didn't ask her for an ID or anything they said that they where going to do a drug test and then they asked her to leave and that's when me and her guardian step up and said she's just happy and energized The security guard was "no she's acting drunk or has she been smoking? that's why her eyes are red and she can't look at me"and I'm like dude she's 17 and she cannot look at you because you have a flashlight in her eyes and she's about to cry and that's when I said I assume the owner was like no we're about to close let them have fun but at that point they just ruined all the fun we wasted $40 each so $160 plus food just to be told to leave good thing, the workers/actors are really nice and friendly. Took my daughter and friends to this place. I would say they are highly unorganized and plan was not thought out. The Asylum had the worst set up. Doors that opened that apparently should not have been opened. Groups of us exited out the wrong exit and was told to go back in and find another door which was a hazard. The next place, the cinema I believe, was okay for the most part except for this huge log in the middle of no where as we were nearing the end that caused a lot of us to trip over and fall. Major safety hazard. Mind you it was dark and you can't see. As we were leaving, ambulances were arriving because people had gotten hurt. The downside is that the lines were really long even early on in the evening and it seemed like staff was letting very few people in each haunt at one time so that didn't help speed things along. This is a SCAM I bought 2 tickets for 80 dollars they sold me tickets at 10:50 and one of the cops there told me to talk to Ana the "owner " so I can make my money worth and come back another time, fhey shut down the park at 12:00 I was only able to go in one house which was completely trash and even the actors were laughing at each other . They wrote my name down as well as my friends so I was sure I can come back another time they even told me don't take your wristband off until you come back again ... I was extremely disappointed with the way me and my friends were treated. First at the laser game, I was physically and verbally assaulted by a middle aged guy (I'm 15). Then later on I was the one that got kicked out as I apparently punched a staff member. I do not recall punching anyone, maybe a bumped into someone, but I didn't not punch. This place was honestly so much fun. My wife and I went for date night and it was the best idea for a Halloween date! The haunted houses were great. My wife was a nervous wreck! I had so much fun at Redrum this past weekend with my friends and family. We bought our tickets online ($5 cheaper than if you buy them in person) and went to the pick up window when we got there to get wrist bands. For the price, $35, you get to see four houses or your choosing. The clown house was an amazing visual experience, the asylum was terrifying, and the laser tag at Lazer Fury was so much fun! We went during the first weekend of October and there were absolutely no lines despite there being a good amount of people hanging out there. There's a taco truck on site that my friend really enjoyed. The crowd is definitely younger -- a lot of high school kids. But that didn't affect our night at all. read more

I don't even know where to start. A quick warning....just skip this place. It is totally unorganized from parking to the way you enter the park. An absolute disaster. They offer a military/first responder discount of a free speed pass. Nice, however you cannot use the discount for a guest, which means they are paying $63 for their ticket instead of $33 to match your speed pass. This is more of a ploy to upsell and make more money. So in actuality instead of this being a selling point. It is a turn off. So the fact is that there really is no military/first responder discount. Its an opportunity for them to prey on people for more money. Next, the actual four attractions....suck! Many of them have swveral safety concerns with uneven flooring that is easy to trip over. The twisted clown one is not that bad. Asylum...meh. The movie one was boring and I just wanted it to end. The lazer tag one was ridiculous. We waited in line for 40 minutes (with the speed pass) as they were not letting anyone in without any kind of explanation. Then once we got in. The lazer guns didn't work. I changed mine out twice. Neither worked. So basically it was $63 a person for 3 attractions. Three blah attractions. This place was so bad I considered calling my credit card company to dispute the charges. There are so many good haunts in Houston. Skip this one as it is trash. Go to the haunted trails. Thats the best one in Houston. read more

Cool concept for this place, but I was pretty underwhelmed. The haunted trail was okay. I thought it would be an actual trail through the woods but it was through a wooden maze. If I could give the zombie paintball part one star, I would. Completely different from what they show in the trailer. Probably 7 or 8 zombies showed up during the whole thing on our side! A suggestion? Get more zombies! If this were a review for previous years it would've definitely have 4 or 5 stars. But this year's was really a flop for what I thought would be the best one yet. I'd definitely recommend this place there are 4 events within the park and you can go back as many times as you want. I'd recommend getting the speed freak pass if you're going on Halloween due to the extra longgggggg lines. I'd also suggest just going into houses with only 2-3 people for maximum scaring. The place itself was okay.. lots and lots of safety hazards and biohazards. The slide you have to go down in one of the haunted houses has a nail sticking straight up. You could definitely tell who went through that particular haunted house because their pants were torn. Other haunted houses they literally had someone sitting down telling people to watch their step. My husband fell at least 5 times walking through their haunted houses I could only imagine how many others fall running through it. Definitely not worth my time! First off the park is horrible and no point of buying tickets online because you still have to wait in line to get the wrist band. Once we got in it was nothing but a bunch of kids/teens. Lines were crazy long even with the fast passes. They had 4 attractions. 3 "haunted houses" and 1 lazer tag game which was a waste of time. They try and put as many people in an attraction at one time. So you are stepping on peoples feet and bumping into other groups. All the people did was get in your face which just annoyed me. Strobe lights everywhere and heavy heavy smoke to the point you can't see. This place is a waste of time a definitely a waste of money. Won't come back won't recommend to anyone I know. read more

The RedRum haunted house is truly an amazing experience! We were skeptical and thought of going to a more advertised haunted house in Houston. So glad that we followed our first mind and went with RedRum. From the moment we entered it was a freaky sight. I visited REDRUM Haunted House on Halloween with 2 other friends and it was a blast! We bought the Speed Freak since it was Halloween and knew the lines would be crazy and it was really useful as well! We got to see all 4 of the attractions with the speed pass. The atmosphere right when you get to the park is creepy, it's out in the middle of the woods and it's so dark and eerie. Once you actually get into the main haunt/hangout area there's a ton of characters running around and scaring us as we walked throughout the park and they were awesome. The scariest character was this one guy on stilts and as I was buying my tickets he came up behind me and wrapped his giant black cape around me and it was terrifying haha! And the clowns were so funny and nice I took a few pictures with them as well. The first attraction we visited was Twisted Circus 3D and wow, I've never been to a haunted house that was in 3D! It looked so cool in there it was extremely trippy and the only thing that I didn't like is you couldn't tell where there was a step at which made it harder to walk. The clowns in here were TERRIFYING, they popped out from all places , places you probably didn't even know they could hide in. And the sets were AMAZING. And I'm not jumpy at all and I jumped about 10 times in the entire haunted house. After the clown haunt we walked over to the Asylum. The guy at the front, Dr. Smiley when I tell you he scared the crap out out of us to the point where we almost ran out of the haunted house, I mean it. This one was really creepy, there was people crawling and popping out of nowhere and it was really intense and scary. My favorite part was the slide at the end into the smoke, really cool. The 3rd attraction we did was Lazer Fury, this one was like a laser tag house and it was really cool! There was people running around yelling and chasing us as we played and it was really intense and overwhelming cause you'd be shooting and somebody comes up behind you. Really fun concept. The 4th and final attraction we visited was Cinegore, now this one I have no words besides AMAZING. They put so much effort into this house it's incredible. The jump scare were so sophisticated. This house is basically every single horror film you can imagine is in here from The Ring, The Shining, The Nun, IT, Texas Chainsaw, The Exorcist , Terrifier, etc. The sets were so realistic that it actually felt like I was there. And I jumped at every single scare and animatronic that was in this house that's how intense it was. After we finished all the houses we danced with the crowd cause the music was so fun and just amazing vibe and got spooked by a couple of the roaming actors. We finally got around to getting food from their food truck and it was delicious! Overall: I rate REDRUM Haunt a 10/10 I will definitely be back checking it out next year. And not to mention, they're handle with COVID was amazing. Hand sanitizer everywhere, masks required, just so professional and even the actors wore face shields. Just amazing. read more

Just to save people the trouble of going next year i will let you know my experience. Number 1, the parking was HORRIBLE. They did not have enough parking spaces for every car so they started making people park on the side of the road which went down hill. I drive a very low car and there's no way i would get down there or back up without messing up my car. But they didn't care. I had to keep looping around until i found a space which already took 30 minutes out of my night. Next it says they're opened at 8 PM but i got there at 8:20 and it was packed to the fullest. I got my wristband which was pretty quick until you have to wait in line for the actual attraction. There are literally just high schoolers and middle schoolers running around, it's 100% for there age crowd. I went through the cinema first which was awful, completely awful. Not scary, a waste of an hour standing in line. Second attraction was the asylum which we stood in line for 45 minutes, this one was decent. We got there at 8 PM and got done 2 attractions by 10:30. But they close at 11. The line for the laser tag was so long I could not even waste my own time standing in it. I paid 40$ GA for 2 attractions that took 8 minutes each and stood in line for 2 hours.. waste of money, horrible experience. Will not be going back. read more

I went to this haunted house last year and loved it. I went this year and the first two houses I went into were amazing!! But the third one which was a clown one was not scary...there were maybe 3 clowns in the whole haunted house.. it seemed like it was more for looking at the decorations. the last house we went in to was the one with the longest line throughout the night so we thought it had to be the best one....yeah it wasn't. The line took forever but they were letting a lot of people go at once. While we were waiting in line we kept saying how no one was screaming and everyone that walked out was so calm and taking their time which we thought was strange. . it ended up being a laser tag game... what the hell. Everyone was confused, had no idea what they were doing. I guess it could've been more fun if there were actually actors inside to scare you..there was two.. and all they had on was face makeup that made their cheeks dark. It was so dumb. My expectations were exceeded! Nice vibe to the area. They also provided phone charging outlets while waiting in line as well as a popular food truck that I wish I had ate at! Redrum had a band playing and when they didn't they had music for the teenagers to jam to with the clowns.. safe to say they were dedicated in entertaining their guests! On rating the houses best to last... 1) cinegor (a kid was literally crying next to me traumatized) 2) clown house 3)asylum (waited 45 min in line). The only reason why i give it 4 stars is because I waited the longest at asylum and I felt as if there was barely anyone in the house to scare me. HOWEVER, Redrum is the place to go overall! PS. Redrum was the best haunted house I've ever been to. I have so much to say about this place it was amazing. I went on Saturday with a group of 5, all 5 of us bought the most expensive ticket I think it was about 65$ and that got us into the attractions faster and the thing I love about this place is you get to see all 4 attractions as many times you want which other places such as Phobia do not allow. This was also the scariest haunted house I've been too. Once we first got there you have to walk through the woods on a trail to get into the haunt. When we were walking on this trail a actor literally popped out of the woods and scared us so bad and we weren't even in the haunt yet! Once we finally got in we got our lanyards and went to Lazer Fury first. I'm a huge fan of the movie Mad Max so this blew me away. We walked straight in it with our speed pass. Once you get inside you're given laser tag guns, and it's a laser tag game where you shoot your friends and once your shot you convert to the opposite team and target the other team. It was really fun, not so much scary, there was about 2 actors in there, but it was still pretty fun. The 2 actors that were in there were creeping us out as we played. After we got out of there we went to the Asylum. We walked straight into this one as well. The guy at the front of the house Mr Smiley I think he said his name was, was terrifying! We also had a few run ins with him inside the house. This one was terrifying . There was actors around every corner it was horrifying. The scariest part was when a girl was on the floor crawling after us that freaked me out so much that I pushed my friends out of the way and ran! There was also a door maze and the actor in that room legitimately made one of my friends cry from how scary she was! There was also a slide at the end of it which was really fun. We did get separated from each other in the Asylum, so we all came running out of the house one by one at the end lol! We went to Twisted Circus 3D after and went inside with 3D glasses on! It was beautiful the walls were 3D and everything! And these houses aren't short at all we were running through every single house and it took us 10-15 minutes to get out. There was clowns popping out of nowhere in this house. One clown was taunting us by yelling my name across the house and he was looking for us and as he got closer his voice got louder and louder and then he popped out of nowhere and we ran so quick it was horrifying! Also keep your 3D glasses on from start to finish it's beautiful there's also a hallway illusion that looks like the hallway keeps going on and on. After the clown one we went into Cinegore. We waited about 5 minutes for this one. Once we finally got inside within the first 3 minutes we were on the floor screaming. This house had every iconic horror villain in here and it was horrifying , Freddy Krueger scared the hell out of us the most. Once we heard Leatherface rev his chainsaw at the end we took off! After we finished all the houses we hung out in the hangout spot and took a few pics with some of the actors who were really nice. I also went to the bathroom and there were decorated like caves! While I was in the bathroom my friends decided to tell some creepy girl to scare me as I was coming out of the restroom, so as soon as I opened the door creepy girl was standing there and I was so shocked so I ran and she started chasing me! We also got some food from the food truck they had out there! Overall I rate Redrum a 1/10 it was the most fun, scary, and overall of an experience at a haunted house I've had ever in my life! read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone over the age of 40. Also if you have drank even one beer do not go to this place. They will kick you out if they smell any alcohol on your breath. Unbelievable waste of time and money. Being in management myself I recognize bad management when I see it. Awesome! Awesome! My boyfriend and I had the best time.I went this past Halloween (Oct 2017). You really get your money's worth. The staff was super friendly and the customer service is great. You can tell everyone likes their job! First I want to say that I am a haunted house junkie and I'm trying to visit as many haunted houses as I can in life...lol. This is the third house I've been to in TX. I chose to come here because this was the only haunted house that had 5 star reviews on every website and top 10 list that I could find so It was an obvious choice. All I can say is that Redrum lived up to their reviews! It took us about 1 hour and 40 minutes to get through all 3 houses. This is crucial because at other haunted houses (such as scream world) it only took 10 minutes to go through the entire house and then its over!! Ur money is gone and you cant get it back. Now I don't want to give away all the surprises to everyone but I will say that one of the houses moves! (haha). All 3 attractions were interactive and well thought out. They totally switched up the scenery and platform in the 3D house so be sure to wear sneakers and get ready for some steps and other weird things you will be stepping on...lol. I loved it! Never a dull moment. I got to take pictures with a few of the actors. Their makeup is really good!! There was this guy who was dressed up like a jester....his mouth was sick!! he did a great job and really played his part. All of the clowns had great makeup too. I love when the actors chased people around who started running, it really added to the atmosphere. The actors were so convincing and really engaged the people. Redrum may be a little off the beaten path for the Houston area for a haunted house but well worth the drive! I went here from Conroe,TX last year and so very glad I did! For general admission it's 25$ and you have two attractions to go through. Honestly this isn't even worth 25$. I got scared here and there but it's was alriggggggght. The ring girl was on point though! If the whole maze was fogged it would've been better in my opinion. For the second attraction, you get to shoot zombies.... But the zombies don't even come up to the trailer and the thrill of it is nothing. It wasn't worth 25$, it's honestly just worth like 15$. The actors here are extremely energetic and dedicated to their work, the special effects are terrific and the makeup is horrifying! The Cinegore attraction they've added this year is an absolute must-see for any true horror fan, it's like all of my favorite scary movies come to life. The Twisted Circus is mesmerizing and terrifying at the same time, and the Deadwood Asylum is a phenomenally scary experience. I used to work for RedRum back in 2015 and I came back in 2017 to work again completely different experience the unprofessionalism was ridiculous. I was supposed to work as a clown this year in Twisted and it was absolutely horrible. The haunts are fun to attend but for actors it's different. Best haunted houses plural... I've ever gone to! I will go every year! They have bomb sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats.. I had a snowcone too.. Holy crap this clown guy.. KARVER he's so cool and creepy. You can get photos with staff. Super safe.. Have security and police.. Parking lot is safe and they have medical staff for the just in case they scare you TO DEATH!! just kidding.. But better to have then not. Lines will be long so bring a big group.. They had cell phone charging stations last year so I hope they are their still.. Bring a extra battery for phone to be safe.. They have live bands and a stage but I have not scene one. Last year they gave away a car. They do crazy promos too.. Seriously they were better then some heavily advertised ones in Houston I've been to. You can call ahead to have tickets sent out for a large group or party too. Redrum rocks..
