One of the Virginia City, a.k.a. VC to do the walk about to check out the stores like we love to do any time we're in town. The Reds for a hot dog in French fries which we're both good. The hot dog could've been a tad bit warmer and the fries were warm but they could've been a tad bit crispier. Overall staff was friendly old school environment very fairly priced.

Got a box of adorable chocolates and delicious chocolate dipped stroopwafels. Great service from young boys and men during the rocky mountain oyster festival. We received samples of the brittles and fudge, and they were also good!

1/23/22 Quality/Quantity - We got a double scoop of ice cream; huckleberry and espresso chip flavor. The scoop sizes were huge. And even bigger if we chose to get our ice cream in a cone. Deli - sandwiches, subs, hot dogs, fried food, and soup. Homemade old fashioned candy - fudge, rock candy sticks, chocolates, brittles, caramels, truffles, etc. Ice Cream - single $4.69, double $6.69, triple $8.69. Shakes, malts, floats, sundaes, etc. Atmosphere - Local family business. Small bathroom in the rear of the building. Inside seating. Street free parking. Service - Seems like a friendly family business. Price - $7.20 + tip. Owner Suggestion FYI - your website is down.

Reds stands as one of the top attractions in Virginia City. It could be the wide variety of scrumptious candy, the hot dogs, ice cream or maybe just a nice place to sit down away from the summer heat and relax. For me it's the jawbreakers. The bigger the better and they have some doozies! I'm also guilty of grabbing a cold soda and kickin' it in the back. The place is a bit pricy, but worth it in the end. I like to look at it in the grand scheme. A fun, quality opportunity to share with family and friends. The cozy, old-fashioned atmosphere is so inviting, keeps me coming back for more. These kids are wonderful, too. Very friendly and eager to help. Restored my faith. They have a great rapport with the grandkids. 12/20

First I'd like to review the candy shop. We visited this establishment on the 4th of July. We had a candy apple rolled in peanuts which was excellent. Expensive but I expected that so that was not a problem. We also bought three pecan turtles which were also amazing and delicious. A little bit salty but it went well with the caramel and the chocolate. We decided to eat a sandwich there as every place was packed with long wait times. We ordered the French dip sandwich which was $9.99 for a 5 in or 15.99 for a 10 in. We also ordered chicken strips with fries for the child and an extra basket of fries to share. The food took about a half hour to come which was a shorter wait time than anywhere else that we checked. The chicken strips and fries came and were very hot and crispy and quite good. Our order of fries came next which we enjoyed while waiting on our sandwiches. I ordered the 5-in sandwich and my daughter and son-in-law shared the 10 inch. We had it on a sourdough roll which was fresh and good but the meat was not. It was almost like processed beef and it was cold. The au jus was very strong and was not very hot either. I do understand it was a holiday and they were very busy but the sandwich was not heated in any way so it was very disappointing. The place was bustling and the staff was friendly and they were cleaning up tables immediately so new customers could be seated. I might try a different sandwich next time but not the French dip.

The only picture I took because I started excitedly eating right away.

What a fun and delicious place this is for the whole family. My grandmother needed to sit down, and we were hungry so we stumbled into this place and we're not let down. We ordered the kids chicken strips and fries and ordered ourselves the chicken finger sandwich. The kids ate all the fries, as they usually do and we were blown away by what we assumed a regular chicken strip sandwich. The Swiss was sliced thick, the mustard/Mayo combo oozed out and the sourdough bread was soft but thick. Customer service was nice and their selection of bottled beverages had a ton of choices.

It looks just like the other location, and it sits at the base of the hill that provides the southern entrance to Virginia city. It was a great store. The lady at the store was very friendly. I told her that we had been to the other store a few times, but this was our first visit to this store. She told us that "this is where the magic happens." this is the location where they make the chocolates and candy, and then send it on to the other store. It has everything that the other store has, chocolates, taffy, assorted candies, including hard candies, peanut brittle, the works. They have a large selection of loose chocolate in bins, so you can get a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. It's charged by the pound. My brother got some chocolates for both him. And his wife back home, and he also got another bag of the jalapeño brittle. I'm the one that "turned him on" to it, and he's gotten to like it as well. I also got some of the chocolates, and I picked up two bags of the jalapeño brittle, and because I got two bags, because of a special they were running I also got a complementary bag of caramel corn. I hear it's very good stuff like everything they have here, but because I had so much candy already, the caramel corn ended up being a gift. The price is for everything was reasonable, based on the high-quality of their candy, and they do a military/veterans discount. Both of their stores are great. I'm glad I finally got to visit this one. Thank you.

I was headed for Carson City, so I swung by. While I was there, I also got some of their amazing chocolates again. The lady was very nice, same as last time, and I asked for a sample of the jalapeño brittle. I took a bite, and. *WOW......* that stuff is "jalapeño business." :). It definitely has a kick to it. It's on the upper end of what I like for spicy, but I really enjoyed it a lot. The heat takes a couple of seconds to kick in, and then The sweetness of the brittle helps temper it a bit. I bought a bag, which should last me for quite a while, but when I'm ready for another, hopefully they will still carry it. Definitely worth trying. Thank you

They offer a huge selection of candies to choose from, also fudge and ice creams. Whenever I'm out and spot a jar of honey I must purchase it!? So yes, I got a jar of their local raw honey, it's divine! We were given multiple free samples, because who turns down free chocolate;) They were so kind and answered all of our questions. Everything we tried was so so good! The dark chocolate sea salt caramels behind the glass were my personal favorite!! Their peanut butter cups are made in house, so good! Even the malt balls were bomb! I'm not even a malt ball kind of gal but they are triple dipped in dark chocolate and oh so delightful! We bought our weight in chocolate today, I'm not even a little bit ashamed of it. Even though this business is a bit out of the way from Reno, we had such a wonderful experience we will absolutely be returning for more chocolate! I'm sad I've waited so long before trying this place.

We came back after the show and picked up 4. 2 delicious mint, a salted Carmel, and marshmallow. They are priced by piece not weight, like sees does. The total came to $7. He loved his mint ones and ate both for dessert after our steak dinner. I had the salted caramel one and it was Devine, so Carmel-y and it stuck to my teeth. I'm saving up the marshmallow one. This is a great dessert shop. They also sell all types of Carmel apples. I'd go with the plain Carmel one next time, the nuts took away from the Carmel. They have at least a half dozen of flavors, they sell candy, peanut brittle, chocolate dipped champagne glasses, cheesecake, ect. They even have a tiny seating area outside. This is a fun tasty place.
