Finally got to try this place after looking for a while I went early Saturday morning they had a lot of bays available. I went in to use it had no trouble backing into the bay. They had a good amount of options to clean the car: wax, rinse, pre-soap wash, etc. the only thing was the only get 3 minutes for $3 so you may have to pay twice or more. They take credit card which is nice or you can purchase tokens using cash. After that they have a place where you can clean your exterior portion of your car under a small shaded building with outlet plugs which I thought were cool. If you don't wanna do the self car wash they actually have a touchless car wash you can go through with a dryer. They also had coin operated vacuums. It wasn't busy and there was someone there cleaning the place up which was really nice. I will come here again to wash my car! read more

This is my favorite self serve car wash! I come all the way from Elk Grove area now, used to drive from rancho Cordova or south sac where I work and it's always worth the drive. They have a spot in the shade to dry your car in without the sun and never have issues with the machines or payment process. Havent had to wait or had any problems here. Not ghetto or anything like that always a smooth good experience and good pricing! The best part is that you can wash your car yourself and then drive through the car wash area to dry only for a couple dollars or so. Saves time drying and less water spots. I have two black cars and it's tough to keep water spots away. Love this place. read more

Recently got back from a camping trip and my 18 foot travel trailer was literally plastered with squashed bugs. Took it to red's car wash, and it fit in the big tall bay perfectly and the spray wand with the different foam and water choices did the trick and it only cost me six bucks. Definitely taking my camper in to get washed there from now on. read more

I really like this touchless carwash option! I was recommended by the Folsom Toyota dealership to go to a touchless carwash since my car is new and black (can be scratched easily compared to other car colors) and found this hidden gem on yelp! I think this is the first one touchless carwash Ive seen in Sacramento so i was pleasantly surprised! I feel like it cleaned my car pretty well without having to scrub. The customer service is amazing! I'll be coming here more often! I just drove up to the last station (touchless car wash option), paid with your card (i used apple pay), and drove up. The machine will let you know when to drive up, when to stop and when it's done. Super easy and quick! I did see and read online that there will be $10 pre-approval even if you choose the $8 option. I miss living in a house where I can wash my vehicle in my drive way at any time. For you apartment dwellers, Red's is a great alternative. The place is clean, the staff is friendly. I once had a staffer drop additional tokens to extend my wash. An added bonus, if you suffer from insomnia, you can roll up after midnight to wash your vehicle. I thought I had an issue after washing my car late last night when I noticed that my card sent me a notification that I was charged $10. Luckily, I came across this Yelp review that explained the said charge. I will have to monitor my card to see if I was actually charged for o only 2 cycles. Visited Red's today, for the first time, after taking my buddy's Range Rover on the Prairie City SVRA course. The thing was covered in dirt and the wheel wells were completely clogged with mud. The only way to get them unclogged was a power sprayer and a bunch of quarters. Red's has five self-wash wet bays, three vacuum stations, two dry bays (with power) and a touch-less wash/dry. The wet bays have separate brush and sprayer arrangements which are controlled by a knob on the control panel. There are are five settings, some use the sprayer and some the brush, as follows: Pre-Soak, Wash/Soap, Foam Brush, Wax, Rinse. Everything went well for us and we used about 10 minutes of paid time to remove all the wheel well mud and clean up the car in general. The pressure washer unit takes quarters and credit cards and there is a change machine near the vending machine but it only gives back wash tokens so pay attention. It takes three dollars to start the self-wash which gives you 4 minutes of time. There is a green button on the card swiper that will add one minute of time per press without needing to re-slide your card. You can buy a giant towel for a dollar in one small vending machine. More car stuff like Armor All and such is available in the big vending machine along with a few sorts of snacks and soda. Touchless wash has 7' of clearance. Menu as follows: Basic - $8 - Two-stage touchless wash Deluxe - $10 - Adds conditioner Super (Elite) - $12 - Deluxe plus Carnuba wax finish Super Blow Dry - $2 - For our self serve guests (65 seconds) It's hard to understand how I can be bowled over by an unattended car wash. I guess it's like riding in a Range Rover. It's just a very nice place to be. Everything exudes quality. The small grounds are very nice to look at (pictures attached) but it's the fact that everything works, everything is in good repair, clean, neat without any junk lying around. Even the signage and the switch plates for the spray washers were clean and bright without any fading. If you are looking for a self-wash and are anywhere near Red's I urge you to check it out. There are even places across the street to grab a bite and show off your clean ride. My advise.... go get dirty. read more

I've been searching Folsom for touchless car washes, and Red's has been great. The property is clean, the touchless uniforms great job, and the covered wash bay is super nice to pull in and dry the remainder of the vehicle off after coming out of the touchless wash bay's drying cycle. For as low as $8 to as much as $12, it's a great place to stop in for a wash. I have yet to use the self serve bays or the vacuums, but they are available. Next time I stop in I will definitely use the pressure washer on some of the hard to reach places in my wheel wells and under the truck before I roll through the touchless. This is a good self-serve car wash and it's in a nice area compared to most other car washes. The wash and dry areas were clean and looked like they were maintained. The pressure washer was powerful, almost too much. But if you need that then it works very well. It would be nice to have a low pressure mode, there is only full blast or a trickle of water. Maybe the washer was malfunctioning. There's only three covered spaces for drying your car, but to the right of it there are parallel parking spaces if it gets busy. note: The initial $10 charge that will show up on your credit card statement will be adjusted later to the actual amount you paid. read more

Weekend therapy. Touchless carwash. I have a Mercedes soft top convertible, to keep the longevity of the soft top and so no water sips through (just in case, not that I heard of that happening to any Mercedes top) I rather not go through quick and quack which I really like. I could have just wash my car at home but needed a strong water pressure to wipe up the weekly dust and bugs on my Benz. $3 bucks for rinse for 4 mins (wait is it the other way round), either way, price is good. I have my own space. The place is well kept. I used my card to pay. No hassle. I say if you're in town and needed a zen time away from work and clean car, go here. Its therapeutic. Bring your own towel, if not they sell them in a machine next to the coin machine and office. No need to bring cash for the wash, you can use your credit/debit card but for the 99.9 percent water vacuum, that doesn't take cards. Better keep dollar notes and quarters handy in case the coin machine is out of coins. Then again there are shops nearby, you might be able to get change. Brought my own towels to dry. The foam is good at cleaning the front bumper where most of the bugs get lodged and getting the tires all shiny. Free from black whatever accumulated during the week. I'd much rather sponge wash my vehicles in my driveway. Nothing is better than a good solid hand wash. But, in support of conserving water, I'm all for using a location that collects/recycles spent water. The typical vacuum set up outside each bay. There is a covered carport at the back for doing detailing work that, at the right time of day, is shaded. This location has card swipes if you don't have cash (never done it - I bring cash). What I don't do (and never will) is use the soapy brush - you have no idea what someone has scrubbed with that before you (gravel, sand, etc). If I'm going to sponge wash at a self-service location, I will take the extra time to bring a bucket and sponge. I don't (generally) do drive through washes so I can't comment on the one at this location. It does look kind of narrow, though. Improved from 3 to 4 stars.** I just recently added a roof-rack to my car and the roof rack installer told me not to go through a traditional wash: touchless or DIY only. So, I put in my $3 for the four minutes and figured out how to work the power-washer. (It's funny because the switch was engaged to "rinse" so it started pouring out as soon as I swiped my card.) Rinsed the vehicle (took a second to figure out engaging the trigger provides more water/pressure); then soap (took a few seconds for the soap to come out); then rinsed again...basically just under the four minute window. (I think it starts beeping when there is only one minute left.) Since I knew my car was really dirty, I decided to go through the "drive through" bay, as well. That was nice because after the wash that bay provides more "drying" time than I was expecting. After all the washing I then used a shammy that I had brought with me to wipe down my car. On Friday, February 28th I pulled in about 0945 to wash my truck. Been here multiple times before with always great results. The facility is clean, very clean, water pressure is excellent, hoses don't drip on you from above, foam brush great and machines work with the handy credit card option. Plus no water spots afterwards. This time after my wash I decided to use the $2.00 blow dry option. At the entrance to the drive-through, I selected "blow dry" but didn't seed any indication on the screen of my selection. I figured maybe just a glitch in the circuit or whatever. Bad assumption. Swiped my card, got the green arrow and pulled forward. I realized this ain't gonna be pretty when the stop light came on and the wash wand began hosing me down, including all our camping items in the back. I didn't want to drive out and damage the equipment which was cycling around me. So...............I just waited it out and hoped our items in the back weren't too soaked. I did get my blow dry-finally. And a twice-washed truck. Looks beautiful. Since I didn't get what I selected at the pull-through and no other indication for that matter, I don't know what excellence of wash I ended up paying for. I took my car in today. I've been to Red's over 5 times, and I have had no problems. Just beware a $10 charge may appear on your card statement, however actual cost is $3.00 for the basic wash.
