I didn't expect to buy anything when we entered but left with a few selections. They deliver across the country and as we left the store I turned around and asked if they could ship my purchases to avoid packing them. A quick transaction later and I was on my way. They let you sample their vinegars and oils before buying, and I highly recommend sampling a few because I have found so many exquisite flavors of balsamic vinegar that I never would have been open minded to try before. Some of my favorites are the peach (white balsamic great for summertime), fig, strawberry, and black currant. My boyfriend and I have quite a collection of them now, and we like to rotate between them as we eat salads pretty often and these make every salad taste amazing. Pro tip-- pay the little bit extra to get the rubber pour-control spout thing that they sell at the cash register. It helps control the vinegar from making a mess, and reduces waste by quite a bit. It is so worth it and will make your salads more well-covered without being drowned in vinegar at the bottom.

My favorite part was the large selection of fresh and marinated meats, they've got cuts you can't find in a chain grocery store. It's all displayed behind a case, you ask the butcher to weigh the amount you're looking for, then it's bagged and tied up. I got a pound of the marinated flap steak to grill for tacos - it's absolutely amazing! The produce section is a bit limited, but there is plenty of what is needed for Mexican and Central American cuisine; Roma tomatoes, aloe vera, cilantro, radishes, peppers, limes, green onions, yellow and white onions, key limes, etc. Every lime I touched was the perfect ripeness, a very different experience than most other stores' citrus selections. There were many different sizes of corn and flour tortillas, some were crispy, some were made from blue corn, big bags, small bags. I loved the drink selection here of Mexican beers, aloe drinks, yogurt and fruit drinks, etc. There are a few aisles of dry and canned goods, pastas, beans, cooking oils, chips, masa, lots of Mexican sweets, shampoo, household cleaning items. I noticed this market has an awesome hot sauce and spice selection right next to the meat counter, you could probably read bottles for 30 minutes and still have more to see. I found some excellent freshly made unlabeled salsa in a fridge by the check out (very tasty, very spicy!), some baked goods, and a selection of tortilla presses and other cooking implements by the entrance. Brianna is incredibly skilled at recommending brilliant food parings and I love visiting often to see the new items she has in stock. I'm a sucker for packaging and every item looks beautiful and tastes delicious. I visit this shop often, have tried many of her items, and there hasn't been a single item I haven't loved. My favorite are the wine chips, hot sauce, chili oil, dark chocolate whiskey bar, and whiskey caramel popcorn which is SO addicting. She also offers a variety of beautiful kitchen tools which I've purchased for gifts that have been very well received. If you have a food lover in your life, this is a great shop for gifts.
