Anyone who knows me well knows that one of my least favorite chores is grocery shopping....that and filling up the car with gas. I'd rather clean a dirty bathroom. That said, Harmon's has me teetering on the edge of changing my mind. Whenever I go into the store, the atmosphere is so hygge, so welcoming that I just settle in and enjoy the experience. This is about the amazing and heartwarming service I received in the Harmon's coffee shop today. The incredibly charming and caring Barista taught me something new about how to order a macchiato that for years I had incorrectly been calling a dry cappuccino. The way she let me know no had zero tones of elitism and was kind and gentle, relinquishing me of any potential shame for the confusion I've caused for Baristas across the country. Truly the worst "sushi" in the world - I would rate it below inedible. The creation of decent sushi does not appear to be within this supermarkets cooking skill set (at least for the ones located at the Draper Harmons). This is not a one-time bad experience: I have purchased sushi at this location at least a half dozen times and it is consistently terrible. The sticky rice is not sticky; it is mushy and falls apart in the chopsticks. Their fish is not firm; it too is usually mushy, which makes me question its freshness. The rolls look like something you might find in a Mexican restaurant: Over-doused in sauce in a poor attempt to mask the taste of the dish. And the very basics of sushi are missing: Multiple sushi pieces either come too big or too small, obviously cut by someone who was in a big hurry and not concerned about whether the sushi piece would even fit into one's mouth! Bad bad bad bad. Do not buy sushi here because the bad experience may ruin future sushi eating at quality establishments. read more

I have ordered numerous cakes from grocery bakeries over the years and have never received a cake that was not prepared by an individual without decorating experience (looked like a . I was embarrassed to serve it to my husband. Not what I expected from Harmons. Customer Service offered to refund my order, return the cake or choose another, alas the order was a white cake with extra lemon filling, my husband favorite. My friend and I dropped by today to pick up some gelato because she couldn't stop raving about their gelato bar. When we walked in my eyes immediately were drawn to the cheese. I swear I saw it glowing, and some angelic music started playing. They had way more Creminelli Salami (the best!) than I've seen anywhere. There were like six types of blue cheese. And don't even get me started on the brie! Their plant and floral department had a nice variety, including lots of air plants. The bulk section is quite large, and offers a lot of variety as well. We spent the most time at the gelato/coffee counter. My favorite flavors were coffee and donuts (OMG), lemon rose sorbetto, and chocolate covered strawberry, but I didn't have a bad one. We probably tried about half the gelato flavors, and left with three pints. A HUGE shot out to Raine who was funny, friendly, generous, passionate, and clearly loves what he does. His enthusiasm was infectious and he deserves an award for being an awesome employee. While this isn't the BEST grocery store ever, it's the best Harmons I've been to, and definitely one of the better grocery stores in Utah. While I won't frequent this location, I will stop by when I need specialty items (like all the cheese!). read more

Besides the expensive prices for items that you can get anywhere else for much less, you'll likely be accused of stealing as you are going through self checkout. Pretty embarrassing for the store. One of my items didn't scan and even before I had to chance to remove it from the bag, an associate came over and tells me it didn't scan, and then checks my bags for other items as if I was trying to steal. Not a fan of being accused of theft. This has actually happened twice now. Not sure why I keep coming back. read more

I love Harmon's and am glad to live close to one. I feel good going inside and how it's taken care of / clean and the staff is friendly. When you have your shopping to do , it's nice to feel good where you are a regular. Especially with small children. My only issue with it is how high the prices are. My husband doesn't want to shop there but it is my go-to and the closest to home. The only reason for dropping a star is the high prices. read more

This is a great location of a great grocery store. It is a bit more expensive than Smith's or similar grocery stores, but it's got a ton of great things going for it... The store is new, and the high ceilings & bright lights help it maintain a very open, clean feel. They've also got a nice little driveway to pull your car close to the store - great for rainy/snowy days when you don't want to load groceries in crap weather. Service-wise, it's always easy to find an employee for help, wherever you may be in the store, and they always seem to be REALLY nice and helpful. I think my favorite part of the store, though, is their efforts for lunch. From the fresh salad bar, to the awesome cheese bar, the deli, sushi, sandwiches, and more.. Really nice upscale market. Being from out of town and staying a few days, I was looking for fresh fruit, veggies and hummus and snacks. Nice selection of grab and go, or grab and heat up foods. Harmon's Bakery: Custom Birthday cake order was placed well in advance, however the employee taking the order struggled to understand the spelling of my daughters name. After 6 tries she was finally able to read it back correctly. However on the day we needed the cake, on pickup they had the cake waiting at customer service which is also where their post office was. The line was huge. By the time we got to the front of the line to pickup the cake it was a such a rush that we didn't get to check the words on the cake. Unfortunately later on at the party we found that the spelling of my daughters name was incorrect by several letters. We are confused as to how this could have happened. I am unsure if we will use Harmon's Bakery again. read more

I really wish I could make it out to this location more often, because it's really a whole new thing. In the world of giant box grocery stores, this one manages to stay close to its local roots while still being absolutely gigantic. They've been going through some changes lately, and it felt like a good time to update. I'm still a fanboy, for sure. And some of the changes make me super excited. I'm a big baker, so I was excited when they recently expanded their flour selection. In this big store it doesn't feel as dramatic, but in other, smaller stores it's really a noticeable change. Bob's Red Mill everything, and even more availability of gluten-free stuff and alternative flours. It looks like they finally got serious about bulk foods and I love this so so much. Some of it is a little esoteric for me, but it's a huge improvement and a call for me to pick them more often. Double thumbs up for finally carrying bulk spices. It's so so so much more affordable to buy them this way as opposed to the individual shakers. There were two other stores that had this, I don't love either, so this is a massive win and will also pull me in more often. In fact, I cleaned them out here on bulk cinnamon sticks (sorry everyone else!) and it was a fraction of the cost. I've been thinking a lot about flowers lately, apparently, as several reviews over the last few days have mentioned them. I only wandered through the floral section here and have long been a fan of the expanded varieties. They're powerful things, flowers. Their presence can brighten a room and make you incredibly happy; their scent can transport you to a time of intense happiness or unshakeable sadness. I'm just saying--don't overlook the floral section here. It's rare that a grocer dedicates such real estate to them, and I, for one, appreciate it. Other changes abound. These are the ones I notice and care most about. This location remains a favorite and everything in my original review holds true. I wish I could make it out here a bit more often, as this location is really special. read more

I've been coming to this Harmon's for years and never really had any problems at all. But on 8/18/2024 around 1:10pm I go into what use to be my favorite Harmon's. My friend recently graduated from college so I get her a Congratulations card and a $25 Taco Bell gift card because she's a Taco Bell fanatic. The young cashier gives me my total and the bagger says "Do you have ID that matches the CC you're using?" Taken back a bit I'm like "Why me?" He says some BS about fraud which infuriates me even more. Now my wife and I get gift cards often and I've NEVER been asked for my ID. Now my wife (Who's white, I am not) NEVER been asked for ID. Now I don't know the street value of Greeting cards or Taco Bell gift cards, but if I was gonna do crime, I wouldn't choose Taco bell gift cards as a career. If this is how Harmon's want to keep me out of their store's mission accomplished. I asked my friends at the graduation party if that's ever happened to them and they all said no. Bought Chicken Alfredo from their Kitchen Product section and it was terrible. The chicken was hard and chewy with no taste. The pasta was way undercooked and dry. The spicy teriyaki brown rice bowl lacked flavor and barely had any sauce. No spice- please do not label it as spicy. read more

Probably the best Harmons around. It is distinctly different from the other two I have visited. The reason why I say this is because the selections and the ambiance is much more upscale than the others nearby. The produce was well stocked and they have an extensive selection of seafood for the area and bulk food area complete with a make your own trail mix bar. I really like their selection and enjoy shopping there for the most part. Unfortunately I have run into a few rude cashiers during the morning shift, I now only go at night and have had much better interactions with the front end staff. There are a lot of really great specialty items and the produce is superior than Smiths or any other grocer for that matter. Their floral department is really amazing too, they never disappoint! Every time I buy one for friends/family/co-workers they are so amazed at how beautiful they are. Lastly, the meat department is fantastic as well. My dog refuses to eat pork, steak, or lamb from anywhere else. He's super picky and getting him to eat anything else is a battle. The prices are slightly higher than other places but I don't mind paying a bit more for better quality meats for the best dog in the world! read more

Beautiful store with a large selection of products. They have a dedicated organic section of produce as well as a "natural/organic" section for other food. You definitely won't find Walmart prices at Harmon's, but you definitely won't find uncaring Walmart employees, either, so it all works out in the end. Certainly a great store that has a lot of neat items. I was traveling thru Utah and took an Uber here because the front agent highly recommended the pizza here over other places closer to the hotel. I got here at 7:45pm but the person at the pizza spot said we sold out at noon. I pointed to the Fresh Pizza sign and asked I thought u made them fresh. She said no we make them a day ahead of time. Not only was it a let down after paying for an Uber I got stuck paying for over priced candies for my kids while I looked for something cold to eat in my hotel room. DRAPER: Harmon's is a terrific grocery store. It has a great selection of healthier foods, it is clean and has nice service and an attractive layout. You can still buy the staple items here as well. It even has a nice little coffee shop and deli inside. Pricing is a little on the high side, but it's quality. The food from the deli and bakery are still a little less impressive than I find at Whole Foods, so I leave it at four stars. FOOD: Quinoa Salad (5 stars): Best thing they sell in the whole store. Went here for a steak and chops cooking class tonight and loved it. Chef Sara was friendly, knowledgeable, and entertaining. We learned a bunch of great tips for cooking steaks and chops, plus some other useful cooking tips too. We watched her prepare the dishes and then split into groups of four and prepared our own food with help from the chef and sous chef as needed. We made so much food we have leftover dinner for tomorrow night. Our menu included NY steaks with a wine mushroom sauce, stuffed pork chops, roasted fingerling potatoes, mango chutney and a veggie sauté of hericot Verts, asparagus and grape tomatoes. We then got to sample Harmon's new wagu beef which was so good. Learned a lot and ate some delicious food. What more can we ask for read more

Great place to grab a quick lunch. They sell some pretty good 6in sandwiches there that are like $3.50. Grab a soda and chips and you have a $7 lunch. Their meat department is awesome as well. They have some of the best beef selection for steaks and the meat counter can get you a but of beef thinly sliced for Phillie cheese sandwiches. In general I have always been a big fan of Harmon's, they are by far the best grocery chain in our state, and it's nice that they are a family owned, Utah, business and regardless of location the staff is always friendly, helpful and they go out of their way to make your experience a good one. This location is just WOW! This store is absolutely huge. Upon entering it you will be amazed at the modern, open design which is very warm and inviting. I kid you not, this location has everything! There is a very large floral section located just in the door - very handy when you need to find a gift quickly. The cheese counter and the delicatessen are huge, there's also an in house butcher and sea food counter. The produce section is large and well stocked too. When it comes to meats and product Harmon's really is one our main go to places. The selection of groceries and other goods including pet products, outdoor products, kitchen and baking products is breathtaking. I think we could literally do all of our grocery shopping at this location, pity it's a bit of a ways from our house in Riverton (we usually go to the South Jordan Harmon's which is good but small and less stocked when compared to this one). If this is not enough there's a coffee shop with coffee, cappuccino, gelato and pastries. And then to really top if off a huge bistro. One thing I also love about Harmon's is how they have signs at the end of aisles indicating how many organic, non-GMO or local items are in that aisle. The individual products are then also marked within the aisle. This is so helpful since my wife and I are tying to eat healthily. Harmon's say they are committed to health and wellness and honestly they do seem to come through on that. Fantastic store. There are few stores that reflect a change in season like Harmon's does as you just know it's onset of summer or fall or spring by just looking at facade of Harmon's. I come to this grocery store often and get amazing service every time for a little over a year This time I'm not sure if maybe she was just new But she did remember to ask the lady before me if she needed help so I'm not sure I'm currently 8 months pregnant and usually they ask me if I could use some assistance to the car which I did get two baskets full of groceries so that would've been nice I was just surprised that Jennifer wasn't really helpful but overall I do like this grocery store . read more

We went into the store to buy some of their fresh hand scooped gelato wearing our masks. We went into a corner where we could social distance and eat our ice cream and we were asked to leave the store. That there was no eating? It does not make sense to serve gelato then kick your customers out for eating it.
