Cute place, fairly quick service but no vegan options on the shaved ice. They were however able to accommodate me with a vegan drink.

New boba shop in the boba saturated H-mart area! They have TONS of teas here, one of the largest I've seen. They say they're more of a tea shop than a boba shop, and it really shows. There were so many drinks that looked so good, will def need to come back to try them. I got the Redstraw milk tea, which was definitely more on the tea side than creamy, which I personally don't prefer, but I know others do so might be better for them. My sister got the Dalgona milk tea which had these cool crunchies on top. The Dalgona is STRONG, I don't think my sister finished it. Bustling place. Place is very open, inviting, and clean. As for the service, the staff appeared very busy and working. We ordered the Thai sea salt. Per staff, I was unable to adjust the sugar and milk settings on this drink..so not sure if it's because the sea salt is made a certain way. I enjoyed the presentation. To be honest, over the past year I've lost interest in boba...but a couple of friends had told me about Redstraw so we decided to grab dessert after dinner. Redstraw might have reignited the boba flame for me. You can tell that they take their time making their teas and the equipment they use to steep the tea leaves are actually super cool. Hubby got the dalgona coffee which had the dalgona candy on top. It was a bit too strong for me since I'm not a coffee drinker but he liked it. I got the strawberry matcha latte and it is very similar to Boba Guys' (from California) strawberry matcha latte. Good balance of matcha, milk and strawberries! As an OC California girl, every time I visit Texas, I'm always in search for a good, solid boba spot and Red Straw is probably the BEST boba I've had in Texas yet. All their teas are freshly brewed right in front of you and so fragrant. I went with my cousins so we all ordered different drinks and I can confidently say whether you get a milk tea, fruit tea, or custom tea, you won't be disappointed! The peach bellini tea is a big fan favorite and definitely super refreshing. And you can't go wrong with their classic jasmine green milk tea. My cousin got an iced red garden chai with boba which I was skeptical about but omg the smell was DIVINE and it tasted great! Light and refreshing but still so fragrant. The boba is fresh and done well. They also have some shaved ice/bingsoo options which I definitely want to try next time I'm in town. It's a great spot to swing by to get your boba kick or if you want something light after you had KBBQ next door. Was really excited to try red straw because I heard that they brew their tea on order. When you first walk into the shop, you are met with a very minimalist aesthetic. The menus were a little hard to read, because the font was too small, and on an opposite wall from the cashier. but fortunately we had a great barista who recommended some drinks to us. I have the strawberry Matcha latte, which was on the sweeter side, but still good. My husband had the Japanese Sakura cherry tea which had a unique flavor. Boba is my comfort place and I frequent many boba shops. This place is relatively new and I have been here a couple of times. Their layout definitely is odd with their menu off to the side and limited space to serve the crowd they have visit. The inside however is very aesthetic and pretty. They are very proud of the fact they fresh brew your tea, however that same process leads to long wait times for your drink. On a busy rush, you can expect to wait 20+mins for your drink to come out. Their drinks are priced on average $6.25+ which makes it definitely on the pricy side. I didn't my drinks I ordered, but it didn't taste anything too special. Would stop by again if in the area, but I would not go out of my way to visit. read more

It was busy on a Wednesday night, super crowded so I had high expectations. I got the Organic Vanilla Peach Rooibos Tea at 75% sweetness with Honey Boba. It tasted really clean and light (compared to a heavy milkshake). The boba was chewy and had a bit of sweetness to it. We had to wait a bit for the drink due to how busy it was. I saw that this spot was from SoCal and they brew fresh tea so I definitely wanted to try it. The interior is so nice and minimalistic and I like the vibes and decor. We tried the honey oolong milk tea with sea salt cream and peach bellini. Both were really good and you can definitely taste the fresh tea. Some places you can barely taste the tea or some are too bitter. The peach Bellini was refreshing and light. The oolong was light for a milk tea which I like but you can definitely taste the oolong. I like to take risks, so I decided on the organic rooibos milk tea because I didn't know what it was and never heard of it lol the employee asked if I had it before and gave me a sample of the tea to try first. I ended up really liking it and ordered it with 75% sugar. I asked the employee if people don't like it and he said they either love it or hate it. The finished drink was amazing! Full of tea flavor and not too milky or watered down. I thought it was the perfect sweetness so I'm glad I didn't do 100% sugar. My friend tried it and liked it a lot as well. If you are tired of purely sugary boba teas and want something that has tea flavors, then this is the place. Their drinks are well balance (and of course you can ask for less sweet), and always well made. You can see the quality and the effort they put in making each drink. The decor is well put together and has a great atmosphere. The customer service there is always top notch. Our favorites for kids includes strawberry milk drink and their mango shaved ice. Caffeine wise, we like the Organic Honey Oolong Sea Salt cream, the Strawberry Matcha Latte (similar to the boba guys).
