We ordered the Little Tokyo Sushi and the Premium Rainbow Roll. The LT Sushi had a great variety to them to fulfill your cravings for either rolls or sushi. The Premium Rainbow Roll had blue crab inside, which overpowered the other fish's flavors a bit, but I enjoy the taste and liked the meal. The price is standard for sushi and ambience was full of people who were enjoying their food. Went here with my husband after a long week of work for the both of us. We have lived in Little Tokyo for about 2 years now, but haven't had time to try this spot until today. We ordered a handful of appetizers, including takoyaki, mixed tempura and the house salad, all which were amazing. Everything came out at a good pace except we didn't get our drinks for about 15-20 minutes. We had to remind our server to bring both out after receiving our main courses. My husband got the Una Jyu bowl (grilled eel) and it was quite pleasant. Presentation here is 10/10. I got the 14-piece Chef's choice nigiri platter. Also presented very well. Priced at around $82. After about halfway, I began to feel sick to my stomach. The salmon nigiri and raw shrimp nigiri did not taste right, I immediately shared that to my husband. To preface, I was raised eating raw fish and seafood my entire life. I've never had issues with it before. After about 15 minutes I could feel myself getting hot and nauseous. We left immediately and paid our tab at the front host stand. Unfortunately I won't be back, from the taste of what I was able to eat, either the "fresh" seafood was old or not kept chilled properly. read more

By myself in La Little Tokyo. Yelped another restaurant but say this one looked busy and newer so I went in here. Glad I did. Huge menu- there's something for everyone! The selection includes sushi, sashimi, hot pot rice, udon, bento boxes, rolls, salads, appetizers and more. We got the hungry roll, halibut sushi (delicious!) and hot pot rice with chicken. The chicken was grilled perfectly and the rice was buttery and warm. I thought this place was great! The quality of the yellow tail was high grade. And the price for the sushi bowl was very fair. For 25 bucks you get loads of fish, seaweed salad, avocado, etc. And the beers are under 10 bucks...so splurge and get two! This is a perfect date spot. Where is the 1/2 star when ya need it?? 4.5 for Tenno which was highly recommended so we decided to visit for a week day lunch. It was a Monday, so free parking across the street was fantastic. The restaurant feels easy to miss. Once inside, I liked the layout and ambiance. During lunch it was pretty slow. We ordered a variety of rolls and carpaccio dishes. Presentation was great! There were some unique flavors which made for an enjoyable meal. As to be expected during a slower time, service was wonderful. They have an extensive menu + a solid happy hour menu. What a find! My friend and I were looking for a sushi spot and came across Tenno sushi and it hit the spot. The lunch special (that goes to 4) was an insane deal. We got so much more food than expected we certainly felt so stuffed! You had the option to pick 1 or 2 items so we each picked a 2nd with our bento and definitely didn't have to do that LOL. So has great leftovers! I can't wait to come back. We actually had wanted handrolls but didn't know that the house rolls could be made into them (menu didn't state it). I love their poki bowls. i come here to exclusively for that. the image also shows Curry, which was good but i haven't ordered it for myself, that was my friend's. Sushi is also good. Note; As frequently as i eat here, I haven't gotten sick, so their fish is safe to consume if that's a fear u may have. Waitresses are also.. very human. The food was good but the experience overall was quite poor. We came on a weekend, party of 5 including a high chair. When I first signed up on the waitlist I obtained a wait time which was then updated to an additional 10 minutes stating "we're busier than usual new seating time..." we had already invested so much time that we decided to wait it out as my toddler continued to grow more and more impatient. The hostess was very professional and accommodating, as the time we were supposed to be seated approached, we asked how much longer and she said there was another party of 5 in front of us so she couldn't give us an estimate. All in all we waited 45 minutes for what initially indicated as an 11 to 20 minute wait. It would be beneficial if they instilled a time limit for tables on the busier days as other restaurants do or if they anticipated the evening rush based on trends and opted not to sit 2 people in a 4 person table. Once we were seated the order was taken quickly and we received our food quickly as well. We decided to keep a menu and when Ray came by to drop off an item, he abruptly said "no food on top of the menu," no please, no nothing and walked away. He later came back with another food item and reached right over to drop it off, I truly have never seen anything like it as typically the server is gracious enough to deliver the food item directly to the person who ordered it, on the side of their table. To top it off, he brought a dish to the table right next to ours, all Latino men and said "muy caliente," very stereotypical. The poke bowl was good, fish was fresh - $25 for a poke bowl. Tried the Hawaiian roll & avocado roll both which were quite tasty. I've been here several times and unfortunately this time, the overall experience was poor. I had the leftover the next day and it was yummy! Baked green mussle ($10.95): American japanese dish, large mussle with golden sauce (siracha mayo like), has a nice kick. Crunch spider rolls ($17.95): crabmeat, avocado, soft self crab, crunch powder and served with eel sauce. If you like baked rolls, this is it! I was in the Little Tokyo area with my friend & we were craving some light sushi. Luckily we found this place on Yelp & they have the option of joining the waitlist on here. The wait was quick & I like how it updates up where you are in line & they call/text you when your tables is ready. They have a wide selection of food to choose from, I couldn't decide. Luckily my friend saw the sushi specials sign as it had small options of sushi. I ordered edamame & salmon sashimi with caviar & truffle oil from their specials. My friend ordered calamari & salmon 3 ways from their specials. My salmon with caviar & truffle oil was delicious. When they served it to me, I could automatically smell the truffle... mmm. I love truffle so it immediately opened up my senses. When I took my first bite, I got the truffle taste, then a salty, umami flavor from the caviar, then the simplicity taste of the salmon. As far as textures, you get that soft, chewy from the salmon & the caviar give a little bite. My friend enjoyed his sushi. Although I did notice there was wasabi in the sushi, which he didn't realize and I told him after he was getting wasabi taste. He said the wasabi was too strong.
