Thank you Aden for taking great care of my family and friends when come here! Local favorite sushi in Little Tokyo with the best happy hour! I try to explore their menu to get their Bento Box for lunch with great specialty add on. The Benjie Roll is my favorite go to order. The sashimi are always nice presentation and fresh that I'm now getting to taste more of the yellow tail with tempura onions on top that add the best light plate. It's a very quick services you would think the chef are reading your minds as you order. The dinning area is very elegant and spacious even when it's crowded.

In the hearts of little Tokyo, pretty good location for the price Service was fast and easy , the dining area is spacious and clean The sashimi's are worth the money, large portions and fresh ingredients Its good choice for a quick drinking gathering with friends and family while enjoying some fresh sea foods and sushi Good happy hour selections for drinks Over all Pretty good for the price

Huge menu- there's something for everyone! The selection includes sushi, sashimi, hot pot rice, udon, bento boxes, rolls, salads, appetizers and more. We got the hungry roll, halibut sushi (delicious!) and hot pot rice with chicken. The chicken was grilled perfectly and the rice was buttery and warm. The Shishito seared tuna was interesting as well. It's located in little Tokyo next to the Dodgers memorabilia store. Service was fine. There's a lot off seating inside . There is metered street parking and paid parking structures nearby.

I thought this place was great! The quality of the yellow tail was high grade. And the price for the sushi bowl was very fair. For 25 bucks you get loads of fish, seaweed salad, avocado, etc. And the beers are under 10 bucks...so splurge and get two! This is a perfect date spot. Lively, colorful, themed to little tokyo, and friendly service. I went on a saturday night date and only had to wait 15 minutes to sit. There is parking across the street and it will run you 12 bucks on the weekends. Try this place out, you won't regret it!

I am not sure what I was thinking in my previous review. I have been here a few more times and I enjoy it a lot. The food is good and the service is good. I work nearby so I try to come before the lunch rush during the week. The bulgogi is really good and I love their katsu. They have all day HH on Mondays which is nice. Their bento box is a really good deal too. I enjoy their service here as well.

Where is the 1/2 star when ya need it?? 4.5 for Tenno which was highly recommended so we decided to visit for a week day lunch. It was a Monday, so free parking across the street was fantastic. The restaurant feels easy to miss. Once inside, I liked the layout and ambiance. During lunch it was pretty slow. We ordered a variety of rolls and carpaccio dishes. Presentation was great! There were some unique flavors which made for an enjoyable meal. As to be expected during a slower time, service was wonderful. They have an extensive menu + a solid happy hour menu. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal and experience. Since this was a drive for us, returning would only be if i'm in the area.

What a find! My friend and I were looking for a sushi spot and came across Tenno sushi and it hit the spot. The lunch special (that goes to 4) was an insane deal. We got so much more food than expected we certainly felt so stuffed! You had the option to pick 1 or 2 items so we each picked a 2nd with our bento and definitely didn't have to do that LOL. So has great leftovers! I can't wait to come back. We actually had wanted handrolls but didn't know that the house rolls could be made into them (menu didn't state it). So we will be back cause we saw a tray go by and they were HUGE.

Food is great, ambiance is always mellow. The servers, especially Alper, are always very attentive and very friendly even when it's busy.

Perhaps the best sushi experience we have had at this point in our lives. So incredibly fresh, clean, and fulfilling. Each dish was exactly as described, the menu had tons of pictures which were so helpful! Beautiful restaurant. Service started strong but slowed down towards the end. Would 100% come back!

The food was good but the experience overall was quite poor. We came on a weekend, party of 5 including a high chair. When I first signed up on the waitlist I obtained a wait time which was then updated to an additional 10 minutes stating "we're busier than usual new seating time..." we had already invested so much time that we decided to wait it out as my toddler continued to grow more and more impatient. The hostess was very professional and accommodating, as the time we were supposed to be seated approached, we asked how much longer and she said there was another party of 5 in front of us so she couldn't give us an estimate. All in all we waited 45 minutes for what initially indicated as an 11 to 20 minute wait. It would be beneficial if they instilled a time limit for tables on the busier days as other restaurants do or if they anticipated the evening rush based on trends and opted not to sit 2 people in a 4 person table. Once we were seated the order was taken quickly and we received our food quickly as well. We decided to keep a menu and when Ray came by to drop off an item, he abruptly said "no food on top of the menu," no please, no nothing and walked away. He later came back with another food item and reached right over to drop it off, I truly have never seen anything like it as typically the server is gracious enough to deliver the food item directly to the person who ordered it, on the side of their table. To top it off, he brought a dish to the table right next to ours, all Latino men and said "muy caliente," very stereotypical. The poke bowl was good, fish was fresh - $25 for a poke bowl. Tried the Hawaiian roll & avocado roll both which were quite tasty. I've been here several times and unfortunately this time, the overall experience was poor. We were debating between Tenno & Kaiba to begin with and next time we'll go with Kaiba.

Great food for the price point and nice atmosphere. A friend recommended this place and I'm happy to say, "I'll eat there again."

Came here on Wednesday around 730pm. Theres a parking lot across the street for $10 and meter parking up and down the blocks. Waiter sat us immediately even though it was pretty poppin. Customer service was great and sometimes that seems to be lacking The size of these rolls was bigger than I've found anywhere. We actually left a lot of food unfinished The gnats were the only negative in this place and it seemed like more came the longer we were there. I asked the waiter was there anything that could be done and he laughed (there goes the customer service lol). That baked salmon roll was baked to perfection and as good as it was i still couldn't finish them all. The crispy tuna rice was huge where i had to really chew to finish that thing but bomb too

My boyfriend and I came here for an early dinner on a Sunday and were seated instantly. We were asked for our drink order quickly as well. We had gotten the miso soup ( not pictured ) which was delicious and flavorful. I had gotten the salmon belly bombz roll which was ehh a solid 4/10 they drenched the roll in the house sauce which made the whole roll mushy. I also got the popcorn roll but it took significantly longer to come out than everything else so I had gotten full. I ended up getting food poisoning but my boyfriend said the sashimi was fresh.

One of the best sushi spots I've had a in a while actually. We didn't really do any appetizers and went straight in for the fish. Started off with a couple of hand rolls, we did the crab hand roll and O toro hand roll. Crab hand roll wasn't as impressive, I've had better to be honest. I didn't let that experience ruin it for me because the toro hand roll was delicious. I think they add a piece of mint and it complimented the hand roll. Very crunchy nori wrapper and good rice to fish ratio. For our sushi we started with chu toro tuna, salmon belly, and halibut. Super fresh melt in your mouth quality. Halibut was interesting with the truffle, first time definitely won't be the last. We ended it with red snapper and black snapper. Absolutely amazing, I think the black snapper or the red snapper was slightly charred. It was so good. To say the least, this restaurant was worth it!

Nice of the chef to switch out roe for halibut for me on my omakase. However, probably the worst omakase I've ever had. No creativity, nothing felt premium, chewy fish, flavors didn't mesh, and half of it was salty. The miso soup wasn't scorching, which i appreciated at first but that meant the last few sips were fairly room temp. The real crab handroll was good. If the price point was $35 sushi set I'd give 5/5 but this is supposed to be premium omakase. I've been to other Sushi Enya locations and had good experiences, so this was very disappointing. Stick to the rolls and nigiri.

Long story short, our dining experience felt rushed. We waited about 45 min- an hour for a table. Once we were seated, we were pushed to order right away. I had come here before but it was my husband's first time dining. He needed more time to decide and look over the menu. Well he didn't get much of a chance to look at what he wanted to eat because the server was standing there waiting. Literally staring. What would you like to order? I explained to her that it was his first time here and he needed time to look over the menu and asked her if she can come back later. She proceeded to say it will take longer to get our orders in and delay the kitchen staff. That didn't end there. Right after our food was served, one of the servers came by to ask if everything was ok and if we needed anything. We said no. Shortly after, the server dropped the bill at our desk. Mind you, we were not even close to finishing our meal. I understand there are other customers waiting for a table but you shouldn't be rushing the customers currently eating. They clearly prioritize turning tables faster to make profit. It was not a pleasant or enjoyable dining experience. I would choose another sushi spot.

I find that a lot of the criticism levied against Tokyo Haus expects a restaurant that caters to all types of customers. I find that restaurants are like works of art in that art that tries to appeal to everyone won't appeal to anyone. I think Tokyo Haus's excellence will always be found in the AYCE option. That's what makes it a great restaurant. Becoming a regular here has been a delight, especially after finding our favorite items and sections of the menu. The service was unremarkable at first, but with some geniality and consideration, the servers will open up to you and take care of you. Over the past year or so, we've come to appreciate Alex, who always makes sure our meals are delicious. The restaurant itself is temperate and not too loud with plenty of space between tables/booths. The music playing is not too loud and allows for conversation to flow. They upgraded their ordering system to a tablet-based system a while ago, which has greatly streamlined the ordering process. If you're looking for recommendations on what to order, I highly recommend trying one of the AYCE options and ordering the lemon pepper salmon nigiri (I order at least 50 pieces of it every time!). The eel, salmon, and tuna nigiri are also great choices. The cucumber salad is a new favorite side we found, alongside the brussel sprouts, edamame, and green beans.

Highly recommended but keep in mind only about 12-15 sushi bar seats and maybe three tables so gets crowded early starting at noon for lunch and can be long waits!! Weekly specials are amazing and highly recommend the halibut fin!!! Absolutely delicious!!! Servers and sushi chefs are so kind very attentive and friendly!!

I really enjoyed this sushi spot. Unlike many sushi restaurants that offer combo plates, omakase,…read moreor sushi specials, this place is entirely à la carte, so you build your meal piece by piece. While that can add up quickly, the quality made it worth it for me. Every sushi item we ordered was incredibly fresh and tasted great. The fish was clean, flavorful, and clearly high quality. Nothing felt like an afterthought, and I was happy with everything we tried. Another plus is that they validate 2 hour parking in the same plaza, which made the visit much more convenient. My only minor complaint is that the pace of service was extremely fast. The sushi came out so quickly that I felt a little rushed through the meal. It's certainly better than waiting forever for food, but I would have appreciated a bit more time to relax and enjoy each round before the next dishes arrived. Overall, the food was excellent and I'd gladly return. If you're looking for fresh, high-quality sushi and don't mind ordering everything à la carte, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Late-ish lunch on Juneteenth. Of course there was a wait. 8…read moreparties down so we had plenty of time to pursue the menu. QR code at sign in. It's a typical sized place for a restaurant on First St. (I.e. small & narrow). They do make use of every space though. Parking is...Little Tokyo...sigh. IF you're lucky enough to get street parking, go buy a lotto ticket on your way home. Parking structures near by. We shared: Agedashi eggplant: Japanese eggplant beautifully "fan" sliced. Dashi was VERY good. Generous amount of grated daikon. Assort. Tempura: Saw this being served while waiting. Looked really good and it WAS! Large shiitake mushroom. Fan cut Japanese eggplant, kabocha pumpkin, shrimp tempura & two (2) shiso leaves. All VERY crisp not oily. Warm dashi side had deep umami rich flavor. Probably made the legit kombu & bonita flake method. #1 ordered the Miso carbonara: garlicky carbonara served with their signature house-rolled out udon. Wonderful dish. Portion sizes were adequate. #2 ordered the Uni carbonara: same garlicky carbonara with uni bits strewn about. Estimating one whole uni broken. This actually works for ease of eating. Plus, uni ranges in the $18/oz on the low end to $60 or more/oz on the higher end. Yes we love & appreciate their gonads. Udon noodles were chewy, bouncy & worth the wait. Yeah yeah....the dough is purchased. Not house made. But, seriously you've seen the YouTube videos of restaurants specializing in Japan? Yes there are places in LA who make their dough & roll it out. It's Hella lot of work! Yamachan produces large scale udon/ramen in San Jose. It's fine. Let them work out the dough to water ratio. Also portion size was decent since we shared a couple apps. Might want to consider the option of extra noodles. The table to our right full of younger male co-workers were there to socialize. They probably all grabbed an afternoon snack. Was it worth the 30-40 min wait? ABSOLUTELY! Michelle 2025 Star. Yes it's worth the wait even with the sucky parking. Got so excited forgot to take photos of our udon. That's ok. Just take a look at the 3,000 photos.
