I used redwood storage for three months. In those three months I had been charged incorrectly twice. And disrespected by the STAFF on multiple occasions. after realizing they charged my card 20 or so days early I called to ask about it and was met with the most rude and disrespectful customer service I have ever had in my life! The units are super unsanitary and the business environment is unprofessional! I go in to cancel my unit sign my move out papers and leave and now two hours later the COMPANY HAS TRIED TO CHARGE MY DEBIT CARD 6 TIMES!!!! Luckily the fraud department at my bank caught it! Left all of our family rugs , sporting goods , and kids clothes here while our house was being remodeled. After 2 months almost everything we left in the unit had been damaged by rodents. Lot of things that were irreplaceable covered in rodent droppings. Not a great way to start our life in California. Staff was very rude when presented with the situation saying we shouldn't have left those items in the unit. Do not leave your things here ! read more

The worst self storage unit in all my years of experiences.For starters the customer service, especially from Laurie, is beyond unprofessional. By far, the most unacceptable responses and reactions to simple customer service requests or questions. On top of that the units are rat and cockroach infested, they are gouging at their price per unit and they are not worth your dollar. They claim to be the most affordable units in the area and they do not accommodate for that price point. On top of that I started at a fixed price and within a few months they changed prices and carried on these incredibly insane charges. I recommend to stay far away from this self storage unit and look elsewhere: again prices and fees and unknown and gouging at the customers their able to obtain. read more

Lisa and Jennifer were terrific and made going to storage a pleasant experience. I can't say that I've ever relished the idea of going somewhere offsite - where all my beloved possessions are instead of being where I am - however I never minded going to Redwood. The units are secure, clean and dry; the grounds well maintained. The only reason that I moved was because storage opened up at my residence. I just completed using this facility for the 2nd time and LOVE THEM!!! Their units remain 100% DRY and I've used both a "down a small hallway" and a "direct access" unit. We had a LOT of rain today (10/14/16), and when I picked up my last item, it was BONE DRY!! NOTHING had gotten into the unit! The staff, especially the manager, Eileen, are SUPER friendly, and ensure one's experience is the BEST IT CAN BE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this storage facility. Terrible company. Do not give them your money. I had a storage unit for almost 2 years, the moment I missed a payment they were all over it. Never talked to anyone directly left several messages of when I could pay they still sold my unit, I only owed 2 months rent, over 50,000 in merch, vintage instruments, all my music recording equipment including studio computer and all my produced music and hard drives, several keyboards, traditional items and the only thing I had left from my childhood handed down from my Father his record collection, now he is deceased and all my memories were sold to some heartless bottomfeeders. The worse part is I left several clear messages, stating when I would pay and no one returned my calls, was there 2 days after auction to pay. These people are heartless and it is clear this company is profit over people and the planet. Make a wise decision and spend your money elsewhere. read more

Just got off the phone with StoragePro corporate headquarters, and they have rescinded the big increase on storage rates for our storages. I will give them a good review now for their work in restoring my confidence in them. Daniel Higuera was very kind and understanding and answered all my questions regarding why some people can stay late while others can't. Found out that is because they pay a VIP rate. Also that new customers are paying more because of market demand, in going online I did see the increase in rates for newcomers. So I am satisfied with the modifications in increases on our two bigger units, the smaller increase was only $2.00 (we have 3 units total). Daniel explained that it's on a percentage basis according to the size of the unit. Many people are losing their homes so I do understand that the storage business is probably feeling the crunch and of course has the right to up their rates as needed. This is the society we live in and although unfortunate, that's the way it is in this modern age, and although we will look around in the future for a better deal, like a later closure of the facility, I must admit that I have never been there to the StoragePro in Cotati as I am 500 miles away. I just had the worst experience of them losing my information and when my husband went in to proceed with getting a unit after they reassured me that my information wouldn't get lost and I was going to get the unit I requested. When he got there they magically lost our information again!! They told me something different and told him something different and when I called they told me something different again! My rent has gone up almost $20 a month (from $76 to $94) in the two years I've had the storage space. Right now I am trying to sell as much of the stuff in the space as soon as possible because their rates are excessive. The guy who manages the place goes back and forth from professional behavior to being a total a-hole. Last week, when a friend of mine who was helping me move furniture went in the office and asked for a drink of water, the manager told him they didn't have any water there and that I would have to drive him up to the quickie-mart nearby to buy some! And this friend was not a bum, in fact a very polite and well-dressed gentleman. If they are going to hike their rates $20 / year, they ought to at least be polite to the customers. read more

This is my second time renting a unit for the summer in this area, and my first time using this place. A few friends recommended it to me. It was a huge improvement from Central Storage on State Farm (I used last summer). The staff was always helpful and the prices were a fraction of the cost. With this place, I had no extra fees or costs, so what they told me was the exact price. They even gave me a student discount! My daily fee was under $10 and I ended up saving much more money this summer. The units are accessible throughout most of the day, which is really nice too.
