We recently needed some air for our tires, and when we stopped the air machine was available for $1.25 (for air???). Two things, though: one, the money goes to a local charity, and two, if you walk in and ask the attendants they will turn it on for free. We needed air in all our tires which took some time, and the attendants weren't bothered at all. Nice guys. A nice policy. They dispense Shell gas at a price equal to or maybe a penny or two lower than neighboring competitors. We're happy to return here.

The station itself is pretty clean, and have a wider variety on snacks for the weary traveler then chips and soda. But what I am really reviewing here is the Breakfast Sandwiches. Yeah, you read that right. Gas. Station. Breakfast. Sandwiches. Why? BECAUSE YOU'VE NEVER HAD ANYTHING SO SIMPLY DELICIOUS IN YOUR SHORT LIFE, MY FRIEND. They are made in house in the tiny deli (Deli Joes). Wrap your mind around this. One, soft, fresh, bulkie roll. TWO, yes I said TWO fried eggs. A MASSIVE pile of perfectly crisped bacon, sandwiched between the two fresh, fried eggs and two pieces of perfectly melted American cheese. All this for LESS than $3. I pay more for the frozen/microwaved/crap deals from fancy places. They offer plain cheese, bacon, sausage, and EVEN a veggie option for you non-carnivorous people out there. The location is right outside of Litchfield, away from hustle and bustle which makes for an easier in and out.

Very clean place. Easy into the parking lot and out, back onto Main St here in Thomaston. Located right next to the town green. Great location in town right next to everything. They're always very pleasant whenever I'm here. Stop in to support our local businesses and give em a shot. Support local economy. They work hard to stay open for us.

Part of this review may be related to my growing frustration with Cumberland Farms in general. I…read moresuspect they are playing a long game of getting rid of receipts at the pump in order to save paper. Over the last few months, I can count the number of times on one hand I've actually been able to get a receipt at the pump, and I get gas at a Cumberland Farms at least once a week. This specific location at least has an error message to let you know there's no paper and to go into the shop. It's not the end of the world, but it's an annoyance we as the human race have the resources to fix. Other then that, the parking lot is small and the parking area is partially obstructed on the left-hand side. The store is well-lit and your standard gas station snacks and drinks.

Because this is the Cumberland Farms closest to us -- roughly halfway between Torrington and…read moreLitchfield -- we are often stopping by here although it is much smaller than the stations on S. Main St. and E. Main St. in Torrington. It has only four pumps and can get crowded at times, but you can't beat its convenience for us, and the fact that the folks who work here are pretty nice. So, local and all that, and the 99-cent coffee and we're happy. We also use Cumberland's 10-cent discount card.
