They suggested that we chose a new Carrier heat pump for $8,000. After installing our new unit, they stated that our thermostat was not compatible with the new unit and needed to be replaced for an additional $800. Once it got cold in early November, our brand-new "efficient" heat pump sounded like a fighter jet on the side of our house every night and into the early mornings. I asked DeAngelo's to come look at the unit they installed. Bill and his son were completely dumbfounded. Bill stated that he would be back in a week with a Carrier Tech. No one ever returned. Our utility bills doubled their normal cost for the next several months. I reached out to Debbie several times to see if the "Tech" had an answer for us. Each time she stated that they had not replied to her yet. It was not until mid-March that Debbie finally replied stating that her "Tech" informed her that our TXV valve in our coil was the culprit. She stated that replacing our inside coil would fix the issue and it would cost $2,600. I asked her if they could just replace the TXV valve and not the whole coil. She replied that they could for $1,300. Keep in mind no one diagnosed the problem in person. Feeling something was off, I contacted another reputable company. The other company responded in a timely manner and within seconds of hearing the noise knew the solution. Bill and his son installed the heat pump incorrectly. They never set temperature lockouts for the heat pump or our furnace. Hence both units were running non-stop All winter and were fighting each other. Come to find out, we have a high efficiency modulating gas furnace which is far more efficient than the heat pump. Therefore, they up-sold us on a heat pump we did not need. We do not need new coil nor is our TXV valve bad. DeAngelo's attempted to scam us out of an additional $2,600 when the issue was their own incompetence.

We have a water/mold issue with our bathroom ceiling and since this is a health and safety matter, I expected that the company would send someone out to verify that this issue is not being caused from their previous work. I was told someone would come out after their A/C emergency calls were finished. When nobody called to schedule, I called back two days later and was told they would not send anyone out. They told me they no longer work on bathroom ventilation and gave me the name of another company that could come out to look. I left a voicemail with Angela Rubino Hines, the president of the company, and still have not heard back from her after several days. I never leave reviews but felt it was important to warn others about how they treat their clients. I have been in the Gold Maintenance plan with their company for years, and this is how they treat a serious health and safety issue. I'd hate to see how they treat their regular or potential customers. From their own website: "Our talented team of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and home performance professionals takes our company to the next level by providing the highest level of workmanship and customer service possible." This does not match up with their current actions. I will update this review if I ever hear back from Angela Rubino Hines or this company.
