We initially called in another plumber, and he and his boss felt very strongly that a hairline crack in the pan of our master shower was causing the issue. They came back with an estimate of $7,000 to redo the entire master shower (and vanity). What? We called Bommer Plumbing for a second opinion and boy, are we glad we did. Jim arrived right on time and he worked with my husband and me to troubleshoot the leak. He spent close to 90 minutes at our place. Long story short, the culprit of the leak was worn caulk along the top of of the master shower basin, NOT a hairline crack. We all cheered when the source was found! We saved thousands of dollars with this (accurate) diagnosis. And he even pointed out a potential issue with the electric source for our downstairs bathroom fan. Jim was knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and hilarious. We were cracking jokes like old buds. He was awesome! And office staff is super friendly. They keep you apprised of your plumber's whereabouts on the day of your appointment. They even send a picture of your plumber so you know what they look like ahead of time. He got me an appointment, asked if it was an emergency if he needed to move an appointment or two around, but luckily it was handled. Arrived and Gary went to work asking me some basic info about what happened. Diagnosed it and started fixing it. Took him maybe 30 minutes to fix my one leak and then he went to fix my other toilet that hasn't been functional for a month now, just been putting it off. Got it all wrapped up in about 90 minutes. True to his word he showed up around 4pm and started by inspecting my central air unit. When he didn't find a problem with anything there, he walked my entire home, went into the attic and checked out the crawlspace- when he couldn't ID the exact problem in my home he ran a gas analyzer just to make sure no CO or other toxic gases existed.
