I would like to give the owner five stars. He provided an excellent haircut for my son, and my son even said this will be his favorite place from now on. The owner is skilled, professional, and clearly cares about his customers. However, the experience was impacted by the other employee working there. I don't know his name, but he is a bigger man with a beard. His customer service was very poor -- he was disrespectful and seemed uninterested in helping customers. This review is done by my husband: I have lived in San Diego for 25 years and have been to many barbers in that time, even a regular at a few. I say that to say, I will never go anywhere else since finding Joseph. I am continuously impressed with not only the precision but the speed. I can take a 30 minute lunch break, drive over, get a great haircut & beard trim, and drive home with 10 minutes to spare. There are often 2 to 3 barbers in the shop. Although everyone leaves looking very fresh and clean, I will only let Joseph cut my hair. I can sometimes go a while between cuts and get pretty shaggy, Joseph makes me look like a different person. Added bonus, I enjoy my time in the shop. Joseph and his babrers are good people. Leave your politics and religion at home. This is not the shop for it. In short, this place gets an 11/10. read more

Been coming here for a while now and Thaker, business owner, never disappoints. Very friendly and is always offering me a beverage when I sit down. Does a phenomenal job with my hair and always makes sure I'm happy with it before I leave. The other employees that work here are equally as awesome. Very polite and do great work. The inside of the shop is always clean and he has televisions set up so you can watch the big game while you're getting a cut. If you're in the area and are in need of a haircut, come to Star Cut. Fast cuts, short wait times, but you get what you pay for in quality. Quality cuts, even cuts, well-trimmed and even is sacrificed for speed. If you're looking for a place that's low price and fast, this is the place for you. If you're looking for quality, even cut fades, then you want to avoid this place cause it will be uneven and perhaps some bald spots. 8/30/19 Update: So I went here today to get a haircut like I usually do. Even though I gave them 3 Stars in the past I was going to upgrade it to 4 Stars for performance and my previous comments on speed. Quality is good but not 5 Stars. Anyway, I walked into this shop today and they told me that they're refusing to service me cause I previously left a review that was critical. I guess if you leave a review of 3 Stars and below they'll deny service to you. So I told them OK and left. Now, in my opinion, that's not a way to handle business. Would you want to go to a place that won't serve you if you don't leave a 5 Star review? What does that say about the business? That says that if you're critical of their business, and letting others know how it is, then they'll refuse to serve you. How are they supposed to improve if they don't accept negative feedback? Isn't negative feedback supposed to be opportunities for improvement? Well, I guess this business establishment doesn't want to improve. I would say they have great prices, and service is good. My only complaint was the quality of the cuts. I used to give it 3 Stars and was considering upgrading it to 4 Stars but because of the lifetime ban, I'll be giving this establishment 1 Star. I don't recommend anyone come here because if you are critical of the establishment they'll refuse to serve you. Avoid this business because if they don't like you they won't do business with you. I've been coming here for over a year, brings my kids here but not any longer I guess. I guess we've been forced to take our business elsewhere. Come here only if you don't mind quality and want a low cost, fast haircut. And if you leave a negative comment they'll refuse service to you in the future. This is the go to place for all your needs. Haircut, shave, trim, dye, wax, you name it. Great prices and quick service. Even when there is a line, Thacker is quick and clean. He is the only person i go to and recommend and he is great with my son as well( 4 years old). He is great with cutting kids hair as well. Very patient and cautios with his tools around the little ones. Very convenient location and alwys available when needed no matter what day it is.
