I have been training under Dan for approximately the past year and a half. Dan has a great personality and is an excellent trainer. Dan pays special attention if you have sore areas and is careful to structure your workout so as not to overextend those areas. I am also a big fan of the Refined Fitness gym as I like how clean it is and the fact that I don't have to wait behind 10 or 15 people to use the equipment like I would often have to do at a large, "cookie cutter" gym. The owner Garrett is also a nice guy, and he does a good job creating a welcoming environment for his members. I definitely give Refined Fitness a big two thumbs up! Also, I appreciate that Garrett just smiles when I seem to always drink more than just one of the bottled waters provided for members in the compact fridge. I'm in the best shape of my entire life and I owe it all to Refined Fitness and my trainer, Rob! After my first baby (at 37), I didn't know where - or how to start. I've worked out at big-box gyms for 20 years, but wanted something different - and needed more direction and accountability. This gym has been even better than I could have imagined. Rob creates several workouts each week, for myself and my friend, that work perfectly for us - and we are given workouts to follow on our own (at the gym) outside of scheduled sessions. He encourages us during each workout and pushes us so that we can see our true potential. And the bonus - it's like one big family. I've been working out with Rob at RF for 1.5 years and have never felt stronger or more capable! He is so personable, knowledgeable, and just a genuinely nice person. Rob is one of the best! As soon as you walk through the door, you're met with smiling faces from other trainers and clients, which gives a feeling of community. I've also been seeing Dr. Greg Guzman for some lower back pain and he is so knowledgeable and calming. He put me at ease when I was really anxious about seeing a chiropractor. He isn't like the stereotypical chiropractor (minimal "cracking" at my appointments!) and really makes a point of doing what he can so that I find relief without having to see him every week for months! RF has created a work out environment that makes you want to come in and work out. This coming from a person who did not like to work out and was intimidated by gyms. I work out with one of the trainers, Rob who is the perfect balance of pushing you to your limit while being encouraging (with some sarcasm at times, which I find entertaining), but also listens to you when you say this exercise hurts or the weights are too heavy. Rob is knowledgeable in training and the human body. He understands the what & whys of what you are feeling. l I now enjoy working out and am seeing the results of my work outs. Refined Fitness is the best gym period. It's got everything you'd need without being a huge, crowded place. The team there is like a family to each other and to their clients. I've been going there since it opened and it's the best part of my week. Rob is my trainer and he's nothing short of the best. He truly cares about each individual and customizes workouts to push each individual pas what they could do themselves. He strikes the right balance of caring and motivation. I have been with Refined Fitness since their opening several years ago. I train three days a week with Garrett, my professional trainer. Garret and I have been together over ten years. There's absolutely no other way I could get the same quality of workout. The whole training staff is certified and extremely knowledgeable. I also work with Dr Greg, the resident chiropractor weekly. He keeps me loose and ready for the challenge. The gym itself has everything you would need to transform your fitness. As a 'mature' (yes-over 60) person who really was not into the whole 'group exercise' thing, this was all new to me. I was told I needed to lift weights at my last check up, but I had no clue as to the correct way or how to start. I love my people (trainers) at Refined Fitness! Naz has been training me for over a year, and I can honestly say I have not been in such great shape since high school (many years ago). She is not only a great trainer but has become a great friend! I was involved in many athletics in high school and college, and I can honestly say that the workouts are just as great as anything I was doing back then. They are tough and tailored to each person. I met my new trainer Dan, through a mutual friend and his calm friendly personality immediately put me at ease.
