Most of my life stylist will "cut" my hair and it looks fine when I leave but as soon as I wash it - it's just another bad cut. read more

Tl;dr: Rebecca does a superb job on curly hair! This salon has a welcoming atmosphere, great prices, and friendly staff. I am so pleased that I decided to try out this salon. When I entered, Ginger greeted me and offered me champagne or cappuccino, and a seat. We talked a little until my appointment with Rebecca began. They were the only ones working while I was there, but they made a great atmostphere--very welcoming and relaxed. It felt more like having your hair done by a girlfriend at home than being in some salon where everyone is just super done up and everything is really fancy-looking. Does that make sense? Ginger and Rebecca are definitely professionals, but I mean, I found this salon to be just very comfortable vs. some others that felt sort of intimidating in a way. Anyway, talked to Rebecca about what I wanted. She washed my hair and gave a really great scalp massage (you can tell she must work out!). It was so relaxing, and to add to that, there was music, but it wasn't too loud. She then cut my hair, and everyone in the salon was just sort of chatting together. It was nice, and the seats are closer together than in some places, so that you can actually talk to other people besides the person doing your hair. After the cut, Rebecca finished styling and drying my hair---and I could see that she did exactly what I wanted and did a fantastic job! I have not been happier with a haircut in years. As someone with curly hair, it isn't always easy to find someone who frankly knows what they're even doing with it. I've been to other salons where you pay more for someone supposedly specially trained to cut curly hair, and it was good.... but let's just say that Rebecca charged me less money for a better job! Bonus was that nobody tried to sell some ridiculously expensive products! Double bonus was my hair was finished and looked beautiful in about 40 minutes, whereas others have taken more than an hour. I plan to come back. Oh, and triple bonus---this is a small, local business. It feels good paying for a haircut rather than paying for a bunch of pseudo-artistic ambience or whatever that you typically get from the "hipper" salons (you know, the latest mood lighting and decor and sound system... junk that doesn't really do anything to make your hair turn out better lol). I love going here. I had a bad haircut for about 2 years in a row, and everytime I went somewhere to try to get it fixed it ended up looking like crap anyway. Very Disappointed. The person did not cut my hair how I requested. She sprayed my hair down with very cold water. I did not get a shampoo and yet was charged 30. It seems to be too high for the service. She did blow dry my hair however, that would not have been needed had I not been chilled by the cold water. I am all for supporting the small bussiness people in Lakeside but I will not be going back to this salon. read more

Sharon Stone is beautiful; a great stylist and human being. She has given me better cuts than anyone in San Diego. She made me feel comfortable and at ease. I don't have a lot of hair anymore and she cuts it in a way that makes it look thicker again. If you haven't been to Reflections, you really ought to give yourself a treat. You won't be disappointed. I was given an excellent deep cleansing facial utilizing steam and the Dermalogica product line. The experience was very relaxing and my skin hasn't looked this good in a long time. In this sense, I recommend Francy, who I have known for over 10 years (including where ever she worked in the past), who makes the experience pleasant and always with the same great results. Absolutely a wonderful experience. My best friend got a Brazilian Blowout from Ginger last week and she said her hair turned out amazing. I have curly hair and have been considering getting one for a while. My friend sold me on the wonderful turnout of her hair and the amazing customer service. I booked an appointment and I went in the next day for a Brazilian Blowout. Everyone at the salon is so friendly and welcoming. You can tell that Ginger the owner is in good standings with the community because people would walk by and say a quick hi. Went to Reflections today for the first time to get a haircut. The staff was really friendly and nice. The last few times I've gone to other stylists and they seem to have a hard time cutting my bangs the way I like, and I've usually left unsatisfied with the results, but not here. Jessica did a GREAT job and I will be definitely be coming here from now on. They also have great "girls night out" and bachelorette packages too. i have been going to reflections salon & day spa for over a year. the atmosphere and decor are soothing and light! i have been getting my hair styled and colored there and have had several back facials there. i couldn't be happier with the detail and expertise with both. i have also attended after work events there and the service is always great. i have a very busy schedule and they have accomodated me for my times and days. even sundays! the ladies are all so very friendly and willing to help in anyway. i have been to many other salons where i have had to wait even with an appt. but i have never had that experience here. i have purchased the hair products as well and love them. also, i have purchased gift certs for friends and family and i haven't heard any negatives from them about their experience. i highly recommend this salon:) blynn read more
