Well I have went to Michaels and had a stylist straighten my hair two times with success. I was…read morevery happy. Well the girl I had for the straighteners was no longer at the salon. I had another more experienced stylist for the straightening. It was confusing from the get go. They were talking about not having the instructions for the product they were gonna use. Anyway I have never been in such an awful situation at any salon. The stylist insisted that she had the right product. I knew it was not what was used. To make a long story short. When the stylist went to dry my hair , I was turned around so I was unable to see the back. Here I spent 90.00 including tip to get home and after waiting 3 days I washed my hair and it has all the strong waves , it did not take at all. She had only let the solution on 3 min after applying it. I was very upset cuz you can't just get it done again and my hair looked awful and I had to save to pay for that. She was way more expensive than the other stylist since she was there 6 years. Her cut seemed good. I had went to Beauty School years ago in Miami Florida so I know the process was wrong and I tried to tell Michael this solution needs to stay in my hair way longer to straighten it. He tried to tell her to leave it on longer when the Blonde stylist in the far right corner yelled just leave it on overriding Michael. Her chair is back in the far right . After she yelled that out she was talking softly to her client and she and the client laughed together! What an awful experience it all was. I ended up calling Michael 4 days after i washed and saw my hair all with my deep waves in the back still that I cannot control in the Summer at all. He said he could give a conditioner since it was very damaged. I told him I have a great conditioner at home. So I hung up and tried to call back my stylist hoping I could get some money back since my hair was not straightened at all. Here Mike answered and I told him who I was and I wanted to take to my stylist . He ended up extremely angry and just said I offered you a condition treatment so I just hung up. If I ever in any profession, as in a stylist , I would have offered a little money back. 30 .00 or so and I would have felt respected and understood tgat my hair was gonna even be harder to work with . So I'm sad I really liked Michael and was so thankful for their pricing and he was always gracious. So I'm sorry to have written this review but you have to know what you are doing when giving this type of service.

I am honestly appalled by the way I was treated today. The very first thing said to me when I answered was, "You missed your appointment," in an incredibly rude and condescending tone. I wasn't even given the opportunity to explain the situation before being interrupted and argued with. What makes this even more frustrating is that if the receptionist had simply been kind and professionally explained the cancellation policy, or stated that they had not received any indication that I was canceling, I would have completely understood and comfortably obliged. I am not someone who argues policies -- I understand that when you sign up for something, you agree to those terms. However, it was the rude, disgusting, "mean girl" tone from the very beginning that completely set the narrative for the entire conversation. The behavior and attitude I experienced were unbelievably unprofessional and unnecessarily hostile toward someone who was once a prospective client. I will also be attaching screenshots showing my attempts to cancel the appointment through text, along with the multiple phone calls I made beforehand. She cut it dry, but didn't actually cut anything. I wish I was joking, she pulled hair out with her fingers, snapped the scissors, but not on my hair. Then said she wasn't going to wash it.... For 50$ it's included so I kindly asked her to wash it. Huge mistake. Should have just left. Only wet and washed the top cone of my head. The front pieces and around my neck weren't ever touched, product wasn't fully washed out. She proceeded to add 7-8 products to my hair while drying it, I looked like Cameron Diaz on there's something about Mary when I left. It was so oily and greasy and disgusting. I cried in the car after wasting that kind of time and money. The girl was so so nice, but worst hair experience ever. My usual hair girl was on maternity leave, so I was desperate for a cut. I told my usual hair girl about it and she informed me the salon owner tends to bully those that leave poor reviews about the salon on social media pretty hard- she showed me and I was appalled. The salon itself is very "liberal" politically with all the signage and stickers and conversation. I don't really care and respect everyone's right to their opinion and free speech- just a weird environment for a professional salon in my personal opinion. I won't be back and hopefully other girls there are much better. I think mine was new, but wow, for an hour and $60 (with tip) I was largely disappointed to say the least.

She is great at taking whatever inspiration or basic idea for what you are looking for and turning it into a beautiful, wearable hair cut. The cuts even look amazing when they grow out. I always walk out of her salon happy with my haircut and it always looks better than I could imagine it looking. I recommend Amy 100% to any and everyone.
