Great news. Peggy is no longer the owner as of July of 2024.

Rachel is the city's best hair colorist hands down, and I've been to salons in Hyde Park that charge a fortune for something I could have done at home.

They kindly gave us a private room to hang out in and eat snacks and drink champagne and also gave us access to their fridge to store food in for the 4 hours we were there. I would recommend Mitchell's if you are looking for a great spa experience for large groups like a Bachelorette party. There are 5 locations scattered around the Cincinnati area. It is quite luxurious inside, located on the second floor, on top of The Container Store, and offers a wide array of products and services for sale. I didn't buy any products but others in my group did. I did pay for a 60 minute full body massage which cost about $90ish dollars. I haven't had a massage of any kind in about 5 years and, as a jogger, I have some pretty intense knots. My masseuse, Ryan, was kind and most importantly, had strong hands! It wasn't the best massage I have ever had but I do think it was worth the money I paid for the 60 minute session. We all had a wonderful time and felt relaxed and refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of the activities planned for the Bachelorette weekend. Side note: By no fault of Mitchell's, we chose to go to Kings Island the next day after our massages and made our backs sore again from the rough and jerky roller coasters! Whoops!

I used to like this place, but the last THREE times I have gone, the stylists have not listened to…read moremy simple request and barely cut any of my hair. I don't mind paying $85 for a good hair cut by trained professionals, but the services I've received lately are not acceptable. Asking for an inch off and debulking should not be a hard task. Not sure I'll be returning.

Unfortunately, I have to report my dissatisfaction for my experience and service quality with…read moreDeluxe Nail Salon & Spa. I was recently in town for a friend's wedding and received a manicure and pedicure at Deluxe. Within two days, I had an infection develop on my thumb where the side of my thumb nail meets my thumb- presumably from the tech's cuticle cutting work. I was able to treat it at home, but it was painful for a few days. Additionally, I noticed only after a few days that there was dark discoloration at the base of my large toenails/cuticle areas. After removing the nail polish, I've discovered large bruises underneath both of my big toe nails. This has never happened to me before. Lastly, when I went to use the on-site ATM to pay for my services with cash, I was automatically prompted to view my account balance and after I navigated through that screen, I was forced to reinsert my card and only then was able to take out cash. This resulted in an additional $3 fee from the ATM - so to simply use their ATM, I was charged $6 in fees. I would have just rather paid with my card! I am not from the area, but ultimately, I really felt I had to share my experiences, as I was not satisfied. The salon is beautifully renovated and able to serve a large quantity of clients, but I hope they read this review and take this feedback to make the experience better for others.
