I am very cautious of who I let cut my hair. While it is a fairly easy cut (long hair with one layer and frame the face) somehow some stylists manage to screw it up. Having recently moved back to the Tri Cities I spent a little while searching for the perfect hair salon and I've finally found it. Tina is amazing, she listens to what I want and gave me the first cut and color I've ever been 100% happy with. They could do with adding a place to sit while we wait but the wait is never very long so its not a big deal. read more

I came here since I had several years ago with success. This time I wasn't so lucky. I have a very easy hairstyle and after the first wash of my hair realized she managed to chop the back so uneven it looked like a kindergartner has scissors. Color was so so, nothing special. I got referrals from friends to various salons and was always happy. But then I was referred to Reflections and Melissa...and I will NEVER go anywhere else. Everyone here is very talented but I know with Melissa I can say "Do whatever you think looks best" and I am going to LOVE it. This is truly an art and she is a very talented, fun, friendly stylist who I count as a friend now. I have been coming to the salon for several years and absolutely love it. I look forward to my appointment every month. I've always walked out with great hair and continually receive compliments on my hair color/style. I'm frequently asked where I go to have my hair done and who does it. I am proud to let everyone know that Tina does my hair and she is amazing. The salon is very clean, professional and promotes a friendly atmosphere. I've been to other salons in the area where I have not felt welcome when walking in and where the stylists gossip amongst themselves with clients in their chairs. For a very high end salon the customer service is Horrible and the Owner is very rude!!!! There are certain people that work there that are very skilled but be warned!! I was told that they could totally do what I wanted and I left with GREY Highlights!! I asked them to fix my hair and refund my money due to the fact that I spent over 4hrs of my time in the salon and didn't even get a cut mind you... and ended up with nothing that I wanted!! In short I paid 90$$ and spent over 4 hrs of my time to walk away with damaged hair that now feels like HAY!!! Very disappointed! I feel ill! read more

This salon use to be a place I would refer people to, but after they ruined my sister's hair and took zero responsibility for their mess up, I suggest you think twice about coming here! Before and after pictures were given to the owner of the salon who still accused my sister of lying. How can someone lie when there is proof in a picture?! The hair dresser claims to have 12 years experience and it looked like she dipped bottom half of hair in bleach. (Didn't even try to tone the orange/red out)There was a really harsh line straight across the middle of her head and it looked nothing like the balayage style we requested. Worst job I've ever seen and the worst customer service. This place needs professional help! I would advice you to stay away! read more

I recently had a great experience at Reflection Salong. I was in for a cut and color and stylist Heather did a great job in recommending that I lighten my color a bit. I was a little hesitant but LOVE the outcome. I realize she was right. Just a few shades lighter has softened my facial features. Heather was very amiable and paid close attention to my comfort. I was recommended this salon as I was new to the area and looking for a new colorist/stylist. My friend recommended Tara who I hear is amazing, however, she only works a couple days a week and was booked for the next month. I agreed to see Shellie instead. When I arrived, she was wearing yoga pants, a black t-shirt and flip-flops as if she had just come from the gym and forgot her clothes at home. The salon was clean and inviting so I thought it must have been a mistake on her part - it happens. The weird thing about it is that it was late November, there was fresh snow on the ground and here she was in flip-flops?! She didn't bother with small talk or even engaging me in conversation (strange) but she did talked to *everyone* else in the salon - other customers and staff. It was weird. I am a professional in the industry so I know how unusual that is. Ultimately, the color and cut was good, the service was not. I paid my bill & tipped her. It was $150 ish. Several months later, I called for Tara again. Still booked. So I got an appointment with Heather. She was very nice and dressed the part & she actually talked to me - I learned a lot about her boyfriend. I showed her several photos of hair style & color that I loved - I realize I am not a celebrity, I just wanted something similar (blonde and layered & fresh bangs). I left with some highlights and a few layers but no noticeable color difference and no bangs. I paid $170 ish. I am not someone to complain but my husband encouraged me to call & have her redo my hair and I realized he was right. It's a lot to spend with no real difference. She was able to fit me in to fix the style but I realized as I sat there, only reluctantly. In the end, the color was better but she didn't do anything with the cut at all. She didn't even pick up her scissors. I really wanted to like this salon, it's clean and close to my house. I heard from Heather that the salon is under newer ownership and the owners are not/have never been stylists themselves. It sounds like their employees are unhappy and really, it shows in how inconsistent their work/attitude is. I wish them good luck. read more

Salon is dirty. Salon owner, pretty sure her name is Angie was extremely rude and dishonest. She makes the girls charge for more than what they did. She was mean to the hair dresses and other staff. For being such an overly expensive place there seemed to be mold around the floor and sinks. Poor up keep in general. I really liked my hair dresser. I just don't feel it's a sanitary place to be going to have any work done that could end up making you very sick!! Warning!! read more

This salon is HORRIBLE! I had my hair highlighted and a Brazillian Blowout smoothing treatment done which cost over $300! I also spent over $150 on styling products and shampoo, conditioner, and a conditioning mask that they highly recommended. The smoothing treatment did not work at all and actually made my hair worse. I requested a consultation before I had the treatment so I would know what to expect and the salon could see my hair and determine if this treatment would work for my hair. They said it would reduce the styling time and also significantly reduce the frizz. The treatment actually did the exact opposite. My hair now tangles much easier, is very frizzy, its breaking off, and takes much longer to style. While I was having the treatment done I noticed my hair was very tangled after it had been washed and was told it was because she only used the mask and not conditioner. She said it would not be that tangled when I wash it. I talked with the owner who scheduled me for a 3rd appointment to have it conditioned. This did not help my hair at all. She actually used the same product she already had me buy. The stylist was telling me that the water I use on my hair is what is causing it not to work! What a joke. I called the owner again to find out what else we could do to get the results I wanted/ was told I would get. She argued with me saying she has to trust the stylist and that she has a hard time believing that my hair is worse then it was before the treatment. She said I could come in to the salon for the 4TH time and she would give me a few samples of products. By this time she was extremely rude and defensive and hung up the phone. Over $450 wasted ($300 which was spent at the salon plus a tip and $150 spent for the products they highly recommended)!!! DON'T GO TO THIS SALON!! read more
