Now that I have had a treatment, I see that it is nothing like being "stuck with a bunch of needles". I barely felt slight tugs on the skin as she began the actual treatment. There was zero blood or pain, and only one spot on the ear felt very strange. I have heard that acupuncture is deeply relaxing, and I wrongly imagined feeling groggy afterward. I felt amazingly CALM afterward. My mood was calm, light, and energetic without being excited. My mosquito bites, sinus inflammation, appetite and lower back pain were all calmed. It has been two days and I still feel a calming both physically and emotionally. I am so satisfied and impressed that I booked my husband for a consultation and treatment with Erica and will continue my own treatments.

The massage itself was 39 minutes long, while it should have been 50 minutes long. After the massage, she walked out of the room and did not return to see me out. I discussed this with the receptionist, and she offered me 30 minutes of massage without any charge, pending her boss's approval. I called the place the next day, asking for the boss; the person who answered the call said that the boss was in a meeting. The boss should return my call at the end of the day, but I did not receive a call. To sum it up, the service I receiveed was terrible.

Now, as an online business owner myself, I can understand tech glitches, miscommunications and a lot of things that can and do happen. However, this takes the cake in terms of unprofessionalism with zero communication. Also, as a new client, booking for the first time (and pre-paying) this is not only bad business, it's actually lacking emotional intelligence and deeply unkind of a place that is supposed to be run by "healers." I had two massages at another spa in Indianapolis and still was in constant pain. A friend recommended this location and I'm so glad she did! I live in broadripple but had never come across this spa. I was able to schedule a sports massage for the following afternoon. I let the masseuse know about the pain I was experiencing and she made sure I was open to cupping which allows the blood to flow more to the area. I was open to anything as long as it provided relief. During the massage she could tell how the muscles in the right side of my back were swollen and apparently I was a little tight on the left as well. I felt instant relief after the massage and finally had a full nights sleep since the pain began. She worked wonders and this will now be my spa of choice! Looking forward to booking my next massage! They have a shared parking lot in front with at least four designated spots for their guests.

Each of the massage therapists is certified to perform safe prenatal massages. They have an easy online booking system (which I appreciated). I showed up and everyone was masked (March 2022) which I was thankful for, being pregnant. They offered me a glass of water while I completed the waivers and were very friendly! (I was the first appointment of the day.) I went into the room and the therapist thoroughly explained how the whole massage would go and made sure she knew exactly what I wanted her to focus on. The table was extremely comfortable for a pregnant person :) special pillow/mat with holes to accommodate your growing body and the ability to lay on my stomach (which I've missed!) and there was no pressure anywhere on my body. Just laying on the table was worth the whole massage! Lol halfway through I rolled over and she replaced the belly mat with a large wedge, so I didn't have to lay flat. The only thing I'd suggest would be having white noise or meditation music and or candles/aroma therapy. It was very quiet, but that would've put it over the top with comfort. My first visit was through a Groupon for massage and acupuncture. I already had a chiropractor I like that I was seeing at the time of my first visit, but I was so impressed with the services at Avon Chiropractic that I decided to make the switch. The thing I think impresses me most about AC is that the staff really listen. They know your name and they not only ask about what you need, they take care of those needs. My particular healthcare needs are pretty challenging and pretty much any day I go in their office my needs are different. This is not a cookie cutter chiropractor office. Other places I have been will do the same things over and over, no matter what you tell them you need and no matter how much or where you hurt. But not this place. They focus solely on where you hurt and help you get better...whether it is through chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, magnosphere/magnetic therapy, ultrasound/STEM technology, etc. The front office staff is also pleasing to work with as well. I never have an issue getting appointments and if I have to change an appointment, they are flexible and work with me. The hardest part of scheduling is if you want to find time to get an actual hour massage appointment. Sara is really good, so you really have to plan ahead for your time with her.
