    Waiting for Midsommar dorector's cut

I love going to the movies. I love reclining seats. Regal Butler doesn't have the same flash as Celebration Pointe but their customer service far outranks Regal Celebration Pointe. I love that this theater gets all the rereleases of movies I grew up watching or the extended versions of movies recently released. We've seen Halloween, Nightmare in Elm Street and now Ghostbusters. It's just a lot of fun seeing these movies back in the big screen. We watched the director's cut of Midsommar in the theater by ourselves. It was fantastic! So between the much better customer service and getting all the rereleases, I really enjoy coming to Butler Regal.

Lately I've been going to the Regal Cinemas at Celebration Pointe but I was reminded recently that Regal at Butler Town Center is just as good. It might not be as glamorous looking, but it's still a fantastic place to see a movie. Recently, I went here to see the movie "Just Mercy" because it wasn't showing anywhere else. I went in to watch the movie and I just so happened to experience most people's movie nightmare.... someone who talks loudly during the movie. This went on for a little while, but once they learned of the issue the movie theatre security was quickly on the scene and handled it. Everyone in the theatre greatly appreciated their speedy action. Additionally, the screens are clear and the sound is the perfect volume. Overall, great place to see a movie. Would highly recommend. Oh yeah I almost forgot the best part... they have reclining seats!

Let's just talk about the renovations... The lobby looks cleaner and more inviting, they offer self service kiosks to buy tickets vs. Waiting in line, the cost per ticket has not increased and the RECLINERS!!! The recliners are so comfy and so much more room. I like the fact yoh can reserve seating also.

What can I say? I have more than been enjoying the Miyazaki film series. Simply amazing to be able to see these films on the big screen. I also LOVE that Regal has chosen to play some other classic films every year. I already have tickets for the Princess Bride, Little Shop of Horrors the musical, Guess Who's coming to dinner, and Casablanca. And I have also missed some really great films as well: Some Like it Hot and Star Trek: Wrath of Khan. My favorite film last year was Prince's Purple Rain. Now they just need to play David Bowie's Labyrinth and my life will be complete. LOL! I also LOVE that you can pick your seats in advance and the updated recliner seats are awesome! SO MUCH ROOM! That really makes things easier and worth the price of going to the theater. I was also very pleased with how management handled the Miyazaki series pass when it was not working when it first started. This is going to sound so lame, but I also love that they serve samosas! I have not actually bought them yet, but I plan to. I also have a lot of nostalgia for the lobby of this place, I love the neon lights above the counter.

Their age policy is confusing and poorly enforced, creating unnecessary arguments and delays. To make matters worse, one employee didn't even wear a name tag, which already felt unprofessional, but then went on to give incorrect information because they couldn't tell the difference between a weekday and a weekend. It's alarming that a single staff member could be so poorly informed about basic policies while being the only point of contact. The lack of training and accountability was obvious. When you combine this with overpriced tickets, expensive concessions, and overall disorganization, Regal ends up feeling careless and poorly run. This experience made it very clear why so many people are choosing other theaters instead. Corben and Nina were the only people who actually made the experience worthwhile. Great employees in an otherwise bad establishment.

With Regal Unlimited, I can see as many movies as I'd like throughout the month, at any theater my choosing - how awesome?! Well, since I joined, I've had the pleasure of hitting all 3 local theaters and feel like I missed my calling as a Movie Theater employee and the free perks lol. With 3 options, it's easy to find your favorite and realize which offer what you want. For me, the concession stand is vital, the size and upgrades of the theater (especially within a pandemic!) and most importantly - comfy seating! Well, Royal Park is a cool theater but sadly, not my favorite of the 3 and maybe not #2. The location is great, but being the last theater in the city to be loved on by some upgraded renovations, what could be expected? While the other theaters are brand new or recently renovated, walking into Royal Park reminded me of going back to 1996. The carpets, the games, the decor - very much giving pre-Y2K, but that has nothing to do with the team that's there! Beyond the initial visual impression, my impression of the team was amazing. I was promptly greeted at the concessions counter by friendly faces who were so patient (because I'm incredibly indecisive although I always order the same thing lol) and so friendly! When my arms were full of snacks, a team member jogged up to open the door for me - what customer service, what a gentleman! So no, there are no reclining seats or fancy, freshly-made cocktails at this theater but the movie experience and the 5-star service is still being served up! :)

My boyfriend and I wanted to play in the Arcade but the machines were cash only and there was no way to get cash in the movie theatre. I also really wanted to use the Photo Booth and the card reader didn't work at all which was kind of frustrating. As for the movie itself the chairs aren't that comfy they don't recline or anything. The theatre is clean though and I enjoyed watching the movie

We are always greeted warmly, parked strategically, and had the details explained to us upon arrival. Because our motorhome is 40' we have to park sideways so cannot see the movies out of the windshield as you would in a car, but we put out our lawn chairs and raised dog bed outside the rig and listen on our FM radio. We do tie the pups off to a post in front of us because others with dogs often park or walk nearby and ours are a bit too friendly. When the ticket booth opens, we pay for our tickets and concession voucher. The muffulettas and popcorn are both excellent! We were told we could run our generator before/after the movies but not during...worked out perfectly for us! Although our rig is self contained and didn't use them, bathrooms were nearby and open through the night. The even projected a free Valentines message between films as long as it was received a few days prior. Note: if you don't plan to listen from your car, you do need an FM radio...I don't think they have any of the old-fashioned window hanging speakers.

We accidentally lined up incorrectly and got a whole lecture how to read the signs. After paying $6 each and being charged an automatic $10 food voucher, we parked. The ladies working the concession stand are so rude. There's a sign that basically says "don't line up if you don't know what you want." The popcorn had been popped earlier so it wasn't warm and way too salty. The soda was flat, and the mozzarella sticks were again, salty. Apple Pay doesn't work! Movie started at 8pm and it was still daylight outside. The screen was still dark that no one could actually see the movie until an hour later. The instructions were to turn off the lights and engine, but the people around us had their engines on so the exhaust kept flowing through the lot. I wish there was an attendant that enforced the rules. Overall, it's an experience but they need to do better. I guess this is what $22 gets us.
