Let me start off by saying if I could rate any lower I would. Regal Cinemas delivered an incredibly frustrating experience that made it hard to enjoy what should have been a simple movie night. Their age policy is confusing and poorly enforced, creating unnecessary arguments and delays. To make matters worse, one employee didn't even wear a name tag, which already felt unprofessional, but then went on to give incorrect information because they couldn't tell the difference between a weekday and a weekend. It's alarming that a single staff member could be so poorly informed about basic policies while being the only point of contact. The lack of training and accountability was obvious. When you combine this with overpriced tickets, expensive concessions, and overall disorganization, Regal ends up feeling careless and poorly run. This experience made it very clear why so many people are choosing other theaters instead. Corben and Nina were the only people who actually made the experience worthwhile. Great employees in an otherwise bad establishment. read more

One of my fave theaters in GNV to go to. Very clean and the staff is always so nice. I caught an early screening for Project Hail Mary (, iykyk) as it is the only large screen RPX format in the area. Later during the week I also caught another film at this location and everything as good as it usually is. I hope Regal plans to put and IMAX/4DX in the area soon so I don't have to travel to Orlando or Jax for action based films. read more

I came here to watch the Lilo and Stitch movie and I thought the establishment was okay. Some of the seats in the theater are peeling and they're noisy when reclining. The theater could have also been cleaner. When I place my order at the concession stand, I was about to be charge erroneously. The good thing is that I caught it before I paid for it. Customer service was the worst I have seen. I could not get a straight simple answer to a question on senior citizen age. Theaters empty but the Master of the Universe stuff sold out. I don't go to the movies often but this is the place to do it. They have very spacious seating with reclining chairs and a little table to hold drinks and snacks. I also like that for bigger movies like Barbie amd Wicked that they do themed snacks and drinks. I've gone here to see both Barbie and most recently Wicked and they have themed popcorn, merchandise and mixed drinks as they have a bar. Really enjoyed the drink. read more

I'm a serious movie-goer. Like, 3rd generation super movie fan, I've even got projectors and a movie bar cart full of snacks at my house complete with a popcorn maker. So it's safe to say that I take my movie-going experience pretty serious, lol. So when this fancy new theater came to town, I was impressed! There are levels to movie theaters these days and this location at Celebration Pointe takes it up just a step. Complete with a bar parading its own extensive menu, it's one of the points to highlight here. The other 'regular' theaters in town offer beer and wine, but this location offers cocktails, beer, wine and more. Nothing like enjoying a movie with a lil buzz! Prices are definitely movie prices but what can you expect? I usually get a beer so I can't speak on the potency from the bartender, but they give a generous pour! There are far more screens here than the other theaters and include the RPX system in a few. With more seating than the others as well, I really appreciate the space between myself and other guests while visiting during the pandemic! The seats are super comfy and able to be reclined, which really takes the movie to another level for me because who wants to be all stiff watching the big screen? I've also enjoyed the team here whenever I visit, and feel like I'm greeted with nothing but smiles and great assistance. So as a super movie fan who is finally trying to get back to one of my favorite past-times, it's nice to know that we have another local theater to enjoy while I take in the best that the big-screen has to offer. :) read more

Today's Movie Date was to see Kung Fu Panda. My family and I ordered our tickets online through the mobile app and it made the check in process easier. This location was conveniently located in the Celebration Pointe area, with parking on the street and on the right side of the building. We ordered our drinks, candy, popcorn, nachos and pizza and my family and I tore it all up lol. The movie was great, and the seating was completely. The leather seats were very won out with ripes in the leather but we sat there anyway. 10/10, will visit again! read more

It had been so long since I've been at the movies, I thought the seats were wider but apparently not. Service was terrible. went to see the newest final destination movie with friends. we bought tickets on the kiosk when we arrived and the warning said you must be six years old and up. we bought the tickets( which were $19 each) and when we went the ticket taker told us he needed to see our ID. we are ages 16,17, and 20. He told us we needed to be 18 and up then it changed to older then 17, the it changed again to 17 and older. we explained to him that the kiosk didn't clarify we needed to be 17 and older or we would not have spent money on the tickets. He told us to speak to customer service and when we arrived no one was at the desk. After waiting for 5 minutes an older heavier set manager came up and asked if we needed help. we explained the situation and we're met with an extreme attitude. He acted as if it was lour fault that we bought the tickets and finally gave us a refund. The attitude was not needed when it was clearly the movie theaters fault. Staff acted as if we were just trying to see a rated R movie when that was not the case and were very dismissive. This theater opened only a few months ago so it still has that brand-new feel to it. There are different size screens depending on the movie you're seeing, with ticket prices that vary accordingly. Tip: on the larger screens, try to sit towards the back to really see the full screen without craning your neck. The large, leather, reclining seats recline all the way back, so don't be tempted to sleep. Ticket prices are fair and I like how you can buy online or with the Regal app and just print your ticket from the kiosk. This will be my go-to movie theater in Gainesville from this point forward. read more

I have been waiting for 28 minutes at the concession line. It has not yet moved. All of the lines have been this exact way. A circus of changing orders, kids running in and out of the line to change their minds or grab part of an order. At NO point did any of the staff apologize or even appear to try to move with urgency. A tiny bit better planning on anyone's part would have negated the whole fiasco, but even if it's a fiasco unfolding anyway, staff should at least show empathy to customers who missed HALF AN HOUR of their movie to watch a hundred kids get popcorn first. So, after a fine meal across the street, it was time to go see a movie. I used to see movies at the theatre on a very regular basis, but these days they seem to come few and far between. However, the movie I went to see was one that I just couldn't wait for this time around... I needed to see it before someone ruined the ending for me, and with the amount of time I spend on-line, that would most certainly happen. I found the on-line reservation system to be simple to deal with, and while the prices are not exactly the best (this is a college town... prices seem to be higher) it is still possible to get discounts. Walking inside, gone are the days of standing in line for the next available person in the booth... just walk up to one of the automated machines, pass the code displayed on my phone, and out pops a ticket for me to use. No overpowering stench of popcorn, either... not sure if that is because the place is relatively new or because they have good filtration systems, but it was a pleasant change. I noticed on side they have a small bar where you could get a drink before heading into the theatre. Inside the theatre, the seats are the new lay-z-boy style chairs that recline and have foot rests. Very nice indeed, and no longer do you have to fight for elbow room. Seats from the middle (where the handicapped chair area is) and back seem to have a good view of the screen... not sure I would want to be any closer to the screen than that, even with reclining seats. The screen is simply too large to get a proper view of what is going on when you are that close. I enjoyed my movie. It was a good flick, closed up a lot of plotlines that had been going for many years in the series, and I am now free to view spoilers on-line without crying out in anguish. read more

I have to agree with the previous reviewer who applauds the comfy seating and laments the horrid customer service. I love going to the movies for a night out and was thrilled when this theater opened with a small cocktail bar. I was a little hungry so I asked if I could see the food menu. "Somebody took our copy" was the response. "So you don't have a food menu?"- my reply "No we do. Just somebody took it, so we don't. You can just go around to concessions and look at their stuff we pretty much have the same thing." So no, I didnt order food but we got two drinks. The disappointing Fiery Pineapple Rita (see photo) which came with neither pineapple or jalepenos. So I asked: "Where are the pineapple and jalepenos?" "Nobody cut any in back so we dont have them. I know it sucks, doesn't it. It's kinda been one of those nights" his reply. Really you couldn't have told me that before serving me an incomplete drink so that maybe we could have chosen something you did actually have? Oh Wow, this is what I call a Movie Theater. I'm not used to paying "regular" price for a movie ticket and get the experience like the one we had. This is a new Regal movie theater located in a beautiful shopping center here in Gainesville, called: Celebration Point. We got out tickets inside on a computer (self-checkout), where we also got our seats, YES, you choose your seats in here too! Once we went inside I was in shock with how clean the place was, how ample the chairs were and comfortable. They are all recyclable leather chairs with tables for you to put your drinks or things. The sound system was on point and the service great. All of these for the same price; less than $12 per person. Thank you!! read more

Every time I go to Gainesville, I feel like there is always something new popping up in this college town. Hands down this is the best movie theater in Gainesville! This theater is located in the new shopping plaza called Celebration Pointe. Plenty of parking available here. You get to RSVP your seats at this theater. This theater is super clean and you can see some Gator colors represented at this location. The aisle between seat rows are spacious so you are not hitting people's feet. Seats are clean and wide. Best part is that they recline and have snack trays with cup holders!! Watch your movies on their high quality wide screen! It can be a bit chilly at this theater so I recommend bringing a jacket. I also recommend signing up for their Regal club and this theater is Moviepass friendly. You will definitely have a great movie experience here. read more

Without a doubt, the best movie theater in Gainesville. Just newly opened and located in Celebration Pointe, this theater is clean, beautiful, and gives off an upscale vibe. Its proximity to stores and restaurants makes the entire experience better. You can order tickets at the box office, or at any of the digital ticket computers, which allows you to choose your movie, screening time, and seat. Keep in mind that you can't leave one seat empty, so you either have to sit next to a stranger, or two seats away. Further in the theater are concessions and a full bar; what could be better than a movie and a drink? I've experienced a clean theater and bathroom each time. The seats are leather and reclinable, just with the simple touch of a button. They are set up similar to the Regal 14 on Archer, following their renovations. However, they also have small tables that let you put your snacks on, along with cupholders on each side. The seats are wide enough to move around, and the arm rests are wide enough to prevent rubbing arms with your neighbors. I would mention that the price of movies here are significantly higher, probably for the overall experience. I have a love hate relationship with Regal Celebration Pointe. On the one hand the cinema has the best chairs and awesome sound. The movies look and sound awesome! I'm so comfortable and I get immersed into the movie. On the other their customer service flat out sucks. If you order pretzel sticks you'd think they would come with actual salt on them, right? I mean, it's pretzel sticks. I started asking for extra salt because my pretzel sticks usually come without salt. It's just so dang annoying. One time I asked and the person brought me a cup of salt. Are you kidding me? The food prep people must hate their jobs because when they bring you the food they never smile. They barely give you the food. Today the woman called our ticket number, I raised my hand and she dropped the box on the counter and walked away. I k ow it sucks (I worked at Burger King one very long and sticky summer. It just seems like these folks hate their job and hate the customers. At least that is the vibe I've gotten every time. I hate ordering food and having to deal with the abject negativity rolling off the staff. The food lines get backed up it don't worry because the manager is sitting behind the customer service desk playing on her phone not paying And there are no healthy options on the menu if you get snacks or dinner. It's 2019, you'd think that if movie theaters were modern enough to serve alcohol they'd also realize that having healthy food options would also be welcome. Finally, I cannot tell you how many times I've seen babies, toddlers and little kids in rated R movies. It's not just that I think it's wrong to bring you kid to a slasher movie but it's the fact that the kids scream, cry, laugh and talk loudly throughout that also pisses me off. The funny thing is when I saw The Incredibles 2 and Into the Spiderverse I sat next to two little kids who were so well behaved and really got into the movies. It when the kid is made to sit through a boring adult movie they get bored and then I'm forced to sit and deal with it. I mentioned that there was a little kid not just being loud but literally running around the theater during one of the summer's scary movies and the manager was non-pluses and told me that no one under 18 is supposed to be without an adult. I said oh the adult was there, the adult just didn't give a crap. He "promised he talked to his staff but come on, it's happened again. So you know, if you can get through the crappy customer service and into the movie, you're going to love it! But there is no way I can give 4 stars when the negativity of the staff is so bad. You can easily book the tickets on your app, you don't even have to print a ticket, go straight to the theater, uusually busy but not packed. My husband and I are at odds on Regal Cinemas Celebration Pointe 10 & RPX. He thinks you have to take good with the bad. I say this is crap, an abusive relationship between the customer and a business, and a huge violation of the movie going experience. One star is harsh, but they are asking us to accept something intolerable. This Regal Theater, gets one start to emphasize how unacceptable it is to screen drug commercials between previews to paying theatergoers. Going to the movies is about escape, it is about leaving reality and troubles behind for an hour and a half, it is about going to a place away from your troubles and your reality. Drug commercials are about scaring you into believing that you need to ask your doctor if you are sick enough to buy their product. I go to great lengths to fast forward or mute them on TV at home because they genuinely upset me. I hate them! You cannot show boobs on TV, but threatening you with cancer, irritable bowel, crones, hair loss, high cholesterol, diabetic nerve pain, etc., etc. is perfectly fine. And I acknowledge their right to advertise, and my right to mute, fast forward, change the channel, whatever when they are paying for the production of the content that I want to see. But at a Movie, I AM PAYING FOR THE PRODUCTION OF THE PRODUCT. And not just a little bit. We paid $26 for two seats at this movie that will be on TV with drug commercials that we can fast forward through for free in 3 months - free because of the drug commercials. This must not continue. We must band together and stand against this abuse of the customer business relationship. If we do not stop this now, where does it end? How long will it be before they begin interrupting the movie with commercials, or offering movies commercial free at a premium price - $15 to see the film, or $25 to see the film commercial free? This is already intolerable, and if we do not stop it, before it becomes worse. IT WILL BECOME WORSE, if we tolerate this. This is not benign, as my husband seems to think. I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it. Regal says "RPX" stands for "Regal Premium Experience," by the way. In my opinion what I experienced was "Rude Painful Exploitation." Timing is going to be everything at this theater so plan ahead to avoid unsettling lines. The only reason five stars are not reflected on this review is because we had to watch all of the "up-next" and "coming soon" movie trailers and the first five minutes of the featured film with full lights on which was annoying. read more

At first, I thought to myself, "are they really opening ANOTHER Regal movie theater in Gainesville within a short distance from the other two theaters here!" However, I had to test out this movie theater because it's brand new and in a beautiful location called Celebration Pointe (that was recently built and is going to become an outdoor type outlet mall feel). This movie theater also has an RPX option, which is different than a standard or 3D movie. It has special effects like your seats vibrating with the powerful surround sound, however the tickets are much more expensive than a standard ticket! It is very spacious in the lobby section of the theater. There is a bar, the concession stand, the help desk and then multiple touch screen computers where you can buy your tickets. I also like how they serve food like sandwiches and appetizers here along with the staple popcorn and drinks, however I was super disappointed at how long it took for me to get my food. I ordered the chicken pesto flatbread pizza, which sounded amazing but I had to wait about 15 minutes for my food to come out. The employee apologized multiple times but when I made it to my seat, the movie was beginning and I felt rushed. If you are going to order something on the menu other than popcorn and soda, get to the theater AT LEAST 30-45 minutes before the movie so you do not rush to get your food and find your seat. I would say that this a smaller theater with only 10 rooms showing movies. I love that all the chairs are now recliners and super comfortable. I will be back to this theater for sure, but I now know what to expect and will get there ahead of time! read more

The bigger screen are great. There are plenty of seats in each theatre so you don't have to worry too much about the assigned seating. There are more options at concessions. They are overpriced, but it's a movie theater. It's expected. The only thing that I didn't like was that fact that it only had 10 screens and thus could only play a limited amount of movies. read more

First weekend. Great sound. Very comfortable reclining seats. Slow ticket taking even with digital tickets since the lone ticket taker was also charged with searching bags. They should have extra staff for the security portion. I am not certain if I found all the rest rooms. It appears that there are just two sets. The Men's. Room s each had just 3 urinals. Even fir the less-than-capacity first show, there was a line for the men's room. Snack bar was advertised as up-scale. It appeared to be well run but not different from other modern multi-screen theaters. Still a good place to see a movie depending how high they price.
