For $10 ($7 w/student ID) You get to watch 7-8 short films of all different genres for 2 hours. And there are so many local restaurants & shops within walking distance on Market & Gay streets - you can't go wrong. They have meet & greets with some of the filmmakers where drinks & hors d'oeuvres are FREE!!! AND they also have free workshops with local people in the industry. I attended both workshops on chorographing stunt scenes & all the behind the scenes stuff involved in putting together a film. I had no idea how much goes into making a movie. So cool! Everyone is so friendly, even the filmmakers! I spoke to one guy about his film for over 30 minutes. I went to another local festival a while ago and it was nothing like this. The West Chester Film Festival has a new repeat customer! Can't wait for next year's!

I have never seen a bad show at PCS. Just yesterday I saw Hamlet. I had read the story but had…read morenever seen a stage production. It was excellent. In September I saw The Drowsy Chaperone. Likewise, I loved this production as well, having seen it on Broadway and a local university's production. So as you can see they are varied in what they chose to present, catering to a variety of tastes. The cost of the tickets are extremely reasonable. For two Hamlet tickets (1 adult, 1 senior citizen) the price was $37.98. There are not many places one can go to see a quality show for about $20.00. I will be paying more attention to what they are offering and going there on a more regular basis.

Saw our first production here recently and enjoyed it very much…read more We are pleased with the play selection, which is not pop-influenced, nor the done-to-death titles, etc. something more unusual, but quality just the same. We also recognized two of the actors from other local plays, and enjoyed seeing them in new and different roles. The theater itself is in an old church, which we learned was purchased by the Footlighters group. For us, we love theaters like this, where things are quirky and the focus goes to the production, not the sets or venue. For the benefit of others, I'll describe it a bit more since I know that is helpful to some people. Much of the original interior/exterior architectural features of the church remain intact which is cool to see, although the interior and exterior are in need of a little maintenance, which, clearly, they would probably do if they had the funding. One important safety item was outdoor lighting, especially when patrons are leaving to go to the unlit parking lot in the dark. The entrance is in the front of the building on Main St but the parking lot is off of Waterloo Ave in back, so it is a bit of a journey in the dark to get from A to B. We wrote to the theater about this and even offered to help install a light but never heard back. I am hopeful that word gets out about this place because it is an untapped venue, which many locals would probably love to frequent and enjoy! We live very nearby, just over the county line in Newtown Square, but ironically, after living here almost a decade, we only recently discovered this theater. One night, on our way home from Handel's, I happened to see the small signs for Footlighters, that were along Waterloo Ave. I looked them up when we got home. I never would have know about them otherwise. We use Funsavers all the time, and I have never seen Footlighters in there. I think they'd get tons more exposure if they occasionally advertised there. I know we would have found them MUCH sooner if they had. Just wish they could reach out to more people in our community to get the funding for more great shows and a little maintenance on the building to make it more hospitable (and keep the old charm of the place going strong). NOTE: Not sure why the Yelp category for this theater showed as "Cinema: but that is incorrect and should be changed since this if for live theater (play) performances.

Visited here for Valentine's Day Haunt. I didn't realize how big it was. They have like 4 different…read morehaunted houses for this event. They did a good job of trying to scare you with using fog or light that blinked a lot. I do feel like they could have done a better job with the haunting. Like there was one section where there was a tunnel and it was too foggy to see anything. There were a ton of mannequins you had to walk past. I think it would have been nice if they would have had some actual people in there so they could come back from behind and scare you. The haunt also featured palm readers and had a bar where they were also playing live music. There were some characters dressed up near the bar as well which was interesting. The staff was really friendly and took an ample amount of pictures for us. If you bought premium tickets, there was a separate line and they had access to a VIP bar as well (to be honest, it didn't seem worth it to me but I also wasn't drinking).

I don't scare easily at all and one of them actually got me. I did not like the spin bridge thing I was dizzy but I get that the point. I don't like that you dint have a choice of which order to do the attractions in that you have to do them in order and there's nothing really in between like a bonfire or snacks, bathrooms were plentiful though. Also my favorite part of haunted places is always the hayride so I missed that but again everything that was there was really good. The asylum part itself was the best part. There was some sort of incident at the end and we were rushed out and it was hush hush so we didn't get snacks or shopping at the end but it's ok the kids got frosty's at Wendy's on the way home. I would recommend and do it again.

This is such a special theater. We just saw Frozen here. The performers were phenomenal with great…read morevoices. I'm amazed at the talent of these young singers especially the actresses playing Elsa and Anna. The child playing Olaf was so funny. My 3 year old daughter loved the show and can't stop singing. I love the size of the theater. Because it's a small theater there aren't any bad seats. Parking is also right across the street and it's free. For $18 to $20 a ticket and free easy parking I much rather come here than deal with seeing a show in NYC or Philly for five times the cost or more. The lights and sound were surprisingly good especially considering the size of the theater and the performers being children. This truly is a gem. I can't wait to see more shows here.

I took the kids to see Jack and the Beanstalk on Saturday, April 18, my first trip to this theatre…read more The acting and singing were pretty good, enough to keep my 6 and 11 year old children completely absorbed. The sets and costumes looked professional. I liked that the cast members were available after the show in a large room off to the side of the theatre for pictures, autographs, etc. We got a signature from the actress who played the cow, one of the better bovine performances I've ever seen. :) The show was about 90 minutes long, including an intermission where you could get water, juice boxes, and cookies. Tickets for this show were $10 each, and there was plenty to keep the parents interested in the show as well. In the front, the building looks like a large Delaware Ave mansion (which it probably was), and behind the house section is a large theatre attached, able to seat about 150 people (guesstimate). The chairs are not attached to the floor, and several of the rear rows are raised up, but its not uncommon to have to perch a smaller child on your lap. All the seating is general admission. The Theatre is located right at the top of the Rte 52 exit off I-95 southbound. A pretty charming experience all around. My kids want to go back to the Winnie the Pooh show in May. A much more rewarding time than a trip to the movies, at about the same price (or less when you consider popcorn and drink prices).
