I've never seen a theater go downhill so insanely quickly. It opened in 2015 and already is totally trashed inside. The fake leather recliners are all totally worn down with the insides showing and none of the fabric black left. The trays are chipped, peeling, cracked, and dirty. I've had showtimes in the last year get totally canceled after everyone was seated because they couldn't get the video to play. Crazy how a pretty new theater that opened with some of the comfiest best seating around is already so bad. Unfortunately the Alamo and others nearby have flip up seats and not recliners so there's not a great option in the Dulles Town Center area without driving a bit farther. read more

This is a nice theater. There's no denying it, and I like the size of it. This is neither the one screen house, or the one with 48 as well. Last caught Maverick here, and the clarity of the images was excellent. The sound quality though, it' suffices but it's not the best. If they got a upgrade on the system, I'd give it another star. A fine place for families. As for a date at night, it also will be good for this. Prices of tickets and food are insane. Yet that's everywhere, as movie theaters got hit hard during the pandemic. So wrong. Went to see Cabrini this afternoon, 2.5 hour movie. It was freezing cold in the theater the whole time. Like 45, numbing cold. What are they thinking!!? It doesn't mater if the theater if full or half full... the heat needs to be on. What kind of lack of management or customer service does this to people!? Not okay at all. 2023 Update - The ludicrous amount of ads that you're forced to sit through before the movie starts is impacting my experience here. Yesterday I went to a movie that was scheduled for 3:45 and it did not start until 4:18, mostly because of all these freaking ads. I am a Regal unlimited member. My husband and I often visit your Dulles town center location on Saturday nights. I would like to share my great experience with your customer service staff at that location, especialy Kayla and Brice. They always go above and beyond helping the guests and are super nice and polite. The other day, Kayla asked me if I would like her to layer my popcorn with butter and that was so sweet of her. Before even that conversation finishes, Brice had everything set on the counter ready to check out in less that 20 seconds. I was able to catch my movie and enjoy my popcorn. These two Regal members should be recognized for the great service they provide. read more

I joined the Regal Crown Club and have been to many movies lately and the bathrooms are ALWAYS a mess. Toilet paper and liquid on the floors of half of the stalls. Also most of the soap dispensers are out of soap. Every day of the week and many times of the day. Very disappointing! read more

The facilities, the service, and the food were great. However I am disappointed with Regal for still charging me for a movie ticket even though I had enough Regal points for a free one. Place is starting to show it's wear and feeling a bit rudown. Chairs are completely worn and starting to tear and most of the theaters are on the smaller side and screens are dirty. What is really annoying is that movies always start almost half an hour late because of the ridiculous amount of ad's and trailers they show beforehand. Even though this one is closer to where I live, I'll drive the extra 10 minutes down the road to the Brambleton location if I plan on visiting Regal. More up to date and better amenities. So I try to go every Tuesday because it's $6 and who can beat that for a movie ticket!? It's usually right after work or sometime there after, mid afternoon. The theatres usually pretty empty but this week I went at 7pm. I purchased my tickets on the theater website which was relatively easy. It doesn't force you to become a member but of course they suggest it! It's probably beneficial, I just haven't gotten around to it. This theater is connected to the Dulles Center Mall which is just an okay mall in my opinion. Love the food court though! The theater is equip with a small concession stand in the lobby and a bar ( which I've never sat at or ordered a drink) but typical bar prices probably. I think snacks should be discounted as well on Tuesdays, would make the experience worth while. This week I was in theater one which is one of the smaller screens but the experience wasn't any less great than with a big screened theater. The seating is so spacious, you don't run the risk of rubbing elbows or stepping on toes. Hell, you don't even have to say excuse me, if you don't want to. Even when the seat is fully reclined, a person can get by without you having to put it down or move. Restrooms are gender neutral and relatively clean other than patron usage ( women are trifling) but that's not Regals fault! Lol. Fully functional dryers and sinks, changing stations but not paper towels unless I'm just not paying attention. read more

Wow.....has this theater ever declined. It used to be a wonderful experience - nice reclining leather seats, good movie equipment, efficient purchasing system. No longer. The fact that you have to wait in the same line as people buying concessions to buy your ticket is a minor inconvenience. The bad experience starts once you enter the theater. The seats themselves are deteriorated, with the leather ripped to the fabric in every seat I looked at (both where your head goes AND where you sit), the wooden-look trays have had the coating peel away to the raw base, and the plastic cup-holders are chipped to the bottom. But that I could tolerate. It was when the movie started that I really saw how little they care. The coating on the screen was deteriorating, so it gave it a strange pixelated-type look - in 50+ years of movie-going, i never saw anything like it. Also, for the first time in 50 years, I walked out of a movie right as it started and asked for my money back. (Nobody even asked why.) read more

The theater is okay and we have no complaints about sound or picture quality. They typically have a good selection of what's currently playing, seats are very comfortable, and they seem adequately staffed, unlike several theaters in the area. Theaters can be quite dirty, however. Bathroom air dryers are the loudest I've ever encountered -- like the volume is actually painful. Horrible movie experience! And, people are so inconsiderate. Went to see Venom 2 since I'm in town for work. Wasn't able to order ticket on kiosk, said that every seat was unavailable. Order ticket at concessions as well as a soda, friendly guy at counter, this is where my good experience ends. Walked to theater and of course everyone in my area is rowdy. Person in back of me had put their bare feet on back of head rest next to me. Some little kid kept messing with the recliner seats cause it was loud and squeaky which he thought was amusing. First time I asked when movie started and he did it I said "Can you not," and turned around luckily he didn't do it again, and of course next to me these 3 teens bout not even half way thru the movie they would not get off their phones, the girls would FaceTime during the movie and the guy had this really annoying flashlight going off every time a message went off. I asked if it was too much for them to not use their phone during the movie. read more

Two stars for recliners, and that's it. If you want to actually enjoy a movie, go somewhere that cares if you enjoy it. (Like Alamo Drafthouse) Went on Sunday to see IT: Chapter 2. The row behind us was filled with kids that weren't old enough to purchase tickets, and they talked the ENTIRE three hours of the movie despite being shushed repeatedly and being told to be quiet. Someone went to complain and an employee came in and stood for about 30 whole seconds before leaving. Of course they started talking again. One of my group then got up and went to complain to staff. Want to know what happened? NOTHING. No one came in, no one responded. Nothing. I contacted Regal to see who to speak to regarding the incident, and I was given a phone number...to the Marketing Director. Marketing? Not management? Really? She was pleasant and apologetic but the whole conversation left me feeling flat. While she offered to forward my complaint to management, none of my info was taken in case management wanted to speak to me directly with any questions. She ended with saying, "I hope you don't have issues like this on your future visits with us." I honestly laughed at that statement. I assured her that there wouldn't be any future visits from my 6 to that theater when I could spend the same money and go to a place that actually does something about issues like these. You better get it together, Regal, or y'all will be as empty as your predecessor in Countryside. You charge too much for your patrons to be upset and miserable. They'll go elsewhere. read more

I love love this theater. It's attached to the mall so there is plenty to do while waiting for your movie. I come here at least once a month with one of my girlfriends. You purchase the two seats together so make sure you both get there at the same time and early so the seats you want wont already be purchased! You don't have to buy a 8 dollar bottle of water here either because they give you a cup of water if you ask that you can refill! The seats are the leather comfy recliners and will lay almost all the way back if you want. The arm in the middle can be removed to if you have a hot date you want to snuggle. Get cha movie watching on. read more

I'm all about the reclining chairs! Arm rests are adjustable so you can snuggle your honey while watching the movie. Bar is small, but you can take alcohol drinks INTO the theatre. Snacks are typically expensive like all theatres, so take it into consideration. They let you pick your seats, so try and get there early to get choice ones. Access into the theatre is a little wonky because of Dulles Town Center's parking lot, but it could be much worse. Elite tip: They give you a wristband with a 3 drink limit. Order doubles. read more

First to review! Whoopee! Went to the soft opening preview of this new movie theater located in Dulles Town Center mall tonight. (going on for the next couple days -- cheap Holiday movies and a handful of other movies -- not new releases, but a decent variety for all ages, etc) Oh my gosh. This theater is the nicest theater I have ever been in!!! The seats are nicer than the seats I have in my house. They are giant comfy seats that fully recline at a push of a button (ie. electric recline). Even with the seats fully reclined, there was still a good foot or two in front of the footrest; plenty of space for people to get by without knocking you -- no smooshing your legs in or standing up to make room. They were super cushiony with giant headrests that you just kind of sink into. Like a giant reclining marshmallow of awesome. The check in process is like I've seen at some other places in where you select your seats at the time of the ticket purchase. This worked out nice for us since we got there early we got to select the seats we wanted and then wander around the mall for an hour or so to kill some time. The ticket booth and entrance are located within the mall, so it couldn't be more convenient to do so. It looks like the regular movie prices are going to be on par with other local theaters. I didn't examine the prices too carefully, but I saw some prices hovering around 10-12 and a 4 dollar upcharge for 3d. Pretty typical, I think. If you're hungry and planning on eating in the theater, the seats also have really nice tray tables attached to the seats that can swing out in front or over your lap. It looks like most of the seats were set up in groups of two; so that if you are on a date, you and your date will share the middle arm rest, and have your own individual arm rest on your outside arm. No bumping elbows or awkward silent arm rest battles with your neighbor! I think there were also seat groupings of 3... and possibly other combinations, but me and my boo went for the two-fer. I feel excited to have the nicest theater I have ever been to so close to my house. I can't wait to go back and see something else. Another nice detail I noticed were the floors... the theater had wood floors in the seating area. It really is a nice looking theater. I guess it would be a little silly for me to not mention anything about the video or sound quality, being a review of a movie theater, but I wouldn't really know what to say other than the picture quality looked really good, and the sound sounded really good. I think you felt the rumble of the bass a little better in the big chairs than in your typical movie theater chairs, but it might of just been me wanting one more reason to say this theater is so freakin' cool. Now just don't tell anyone this place is open yet so I don't have to fight for good seats! :) @@@@@ UPDATE: I went again today and sat near the back, row F to be exact. My personal recommendation is to choose a seat close to the front. Reason being, whoever decided to install the exit signs decided to make them BRIGHT EFFING GREEN! Who does that in a dark room?? It was seriously distracting having these two blaring green spotlights in the corner of both my eyes... one on each side of the theatre. Regal, I hope you are reading this and take my advice to install normal RED exit signs, or at least somehow dim the green ones. I'm not a scientist, but I don't think it takes one to confidently say that red is easiest on the eyes in a dark room. It was so bad I would actually rather go to a different theater that isn't as awesome if the front of the theater was unavailable. That being said, I'm going to leave the 5 stars because the theatre is truly nice, and I hope they get enough feedback, or someone who has some pull at the theater actually watches a movie in the back and notices the freaking green lantern spotlights and decides to make a change. ...or who knows, maybe it doesn't bother other people...... ...the seats were still really REALLY comfortable. FWIW, I went back to the Brambleton Regal Fox, and took notice of their exit signs... they were in fact Green, but very dimly lit during the movie. No wonder I never noticed them before. read more

Finally got to check out one of the newer movie theaters in the area at DTC. The layout is very nice (see pics). For a big theater like this, the concession stand is quite small. The selection of food is quite nice, a little bit of everything. Ordered soda, popcorn, hot dogs and moz sticks. Walking into the theater, there were recliners and not seated bucket seats! WOW!!!! So the theater seating isn't full of people. I like it. The seats are leather/pleather and reclines at your preference. There is a cup holder tray attached to your recliner but there is no place else to put your stuff. When people get up in front of you during the movie, they will still block your site. BLAH! The food was okay but it was either the hot dog or the moz sticks that killed my stomach! I would stay away from them. They didnt taste all that great either. As for the movie, the picture and sound were phenomenal (Star Wars VI) & it wasnt on IMAX either. Overall, pretty good place to watch a movie. Its also a Fandango ticket theater. read more

For a regular theater--popcorn, soda and relaxation. This theater is by far the nicest theater in the Dulles/Herndon area. The environment is very family friendly and the staff is so positive. The concession area serves hot food for a reasonable price. For adults, if you need a quick drink before entering the theater, the bar to your right is available. As for the theater rooms, clean! The reclining chairs are nice and roomy. The chairs include a pull out tray with a cup holder. An additional cup holder is also placed on the arm chair. Folks, the AC is a bit high so bring a sweater if you get chilly easily. Price $12.50 + $1.50 chair surcharge. read more

This theater is AMAZING and one of the best in the area. The theaters have new reclining seats in which makes it super comfortable....almost too comfortable as I began to fall asleep during a movie with daughter that she had to nudge me to wake up. I told my husband if they would only add heated seating and a massage feature to those chairs I might never leave! I do recommend that you purchase the tickets online as the seats are assigned seats. I have been waiting for months to finally have a theater with recliners close to my house, so when I found out this theater was finally open I was thrilled!! Unfortunately it took me some time to finally make it there for a movie, I missed the $3 home alone special they were running at Christmas time. I made the mistake, twice, on not pre-ordering my tickets for American Sniper, a very popular movie. Like all theaters with recliners you have to choose your seats, which I actually really like! Unless your movie is sold out then it's kind of a bummer. My experience once I finally got tickets and the seats I wanted was fantastic, worth the wait! Let's start with their concession stand, not your ordinary movie theater snacks. They actually offer real hot food, jalapeño poppers, spicy chicken sandwiches, fries all sorts of meals! On top of those you have your classics, icees, candy and you can't go to the movies without popcorn! Once you've gotten your goodies you have to find your assigned seat, always seems to be a problem for some people, and make yourself comfortable. No really, the chairs are like a lazy boy! They have a button to automatically recline you back and the foot rest comes up with it! There's a swiveling table for you to put all your goodies and a nice cup holder on your tray as well as the arm rest! I like that the arm rest moves up, because I like to cuddle! I look forward to more movie experiences here, I can no longer watch a movie any other way! I would stay away from this theatre until it gets a total refurbishment. It's not that old, which is perplexing. The theater seats were very worn (literally sections of surface material missing on each seat) and dirty. Cup holders had dried something or other on them. The bathroom was filthy and there was no toilet paper to be found. The screen was awful, reflecting light in large areas. We went to see Top Gun there because we wanted the cinematic experience. It was a joke. The screen reminded me of the pull up ones people used to have in the 60s and 70s. You could see the texture across it. It would have been better to see the movie on a good 4K TV. To top it off one of us got sick after eating the popcorn and drink. Won't be going there again. read more

So this theater is, hands-down, the nicest theater in the area when it comes to seating. Faux black leather power recliners? Count me in. You get an additional cup holder in between each seat in addition to the cup holder in the swiveling wood tray at each seat. The seats are large and you had plenty of space to get past other patrons even when they are fully reclined. The only reason I'm not giving this theater five stars is because of their concessions. The expense is what it is; all theaters have ridiculously priced concessions. But this theater has a tiny concessions stand and their popcorn is terrible! They are super stingy with the fake butter and whoever salts the popcorn needs to apply a much more liberal hand. The popcorn at Cobb in Leesburg is amazing; the best you can say about Regal's popcorn is that it's edible. Oh and the green exits signs; I noticed them as well but really only when the theater would go completely dark, like between previews or prior to it switching over from previews to the start of the movie. As far as Regal Cinemas go, this place is amazing! It is big and the reclining seats are SO comfortable! It is the best Regal I have ever been to. I know it is still new, so hopefully they keep it up! I have not tried any food there so I can't comment on that. But the location is great, the seats are amazing, and he theaters are spacious with big screens! I love it here! I usually post much longer reviews, but there isn't much else to say about it.
