It had been 10 years since I'd been to this theatre and i will never return. I'll tell you why... I purchased three No Manches Frida tickets, but instead I got "Five Feet apart" with out realizing it. It took over three minutes at the concession stand to get my stale, cold, and I cheesy popcorn, honestly they were gross. After I realized that I was in the wrong room- for the movie I went to the front and told the guy to change my tickets to the original movie I had asked for.it turns out I was not the only person who had been given the wrong movie tickets. The show was supposed to star at 4:30, but honestly after settling in it was 4:35 and the screen was not on the lights were not dimmed and no preview had come on. Apparently, the manager had lacked to turn on the block in the movie to get it started. I will never return here. History beware even the people who work here don't like the place. read more

It is your typical movie theater. They have a ton of parking in the back. The lines for popcorn and snacks are ridiculous, so come early to get some before the movie starts. This theater has assigned seating, but the theater we had did not have recliner seats. Fairly clean. read more

Terrible theater. The floor where our seats were at were sticky and our shoes kept getting stuck and you could hear the peeling of our shoes from the floors. I thankfully had wet ones so I used that to wipe some of the stickiness off but my shoes are still sticky now. Additionally, the restrooms were filthy. Now, I understand that the staff can't control how disgusting some of the guests are but the THREE times I took my children to the restroom I didn't see anyone attempt to clean the restrooms. I had to physically clean the toilets myself. And not just a normal wipe but I had to CLEAN off the toilets from the mess on the actual seats. Not to mention that by the third time i went to the restroom they were out of paper towels. Ridiculous and unclean theaters. read more

This theater is not the greatest. We recently saw a kids movie and the seats were FILTHY. The concession stand workers take forever to fill orders. Even with all the registers open you have to get to the theater at least 30 minutes early to make your movie on time. However, the prices are good, there's plenty of parking, the regal member benefits are nice, and the movies are not repeatedly sold out like at other theaters. If you can overlook the above, this place works. read more

This is a great theater because every time I come here I know I will not bump into old high school acquaintances. There's nothing I loathe more than catching up with a fellow RHS alumni having meaningless, "What are you up to? Do you still talk to _____? Let's catch up!" No thank you. So as I was saying, this cinemaplex recently added IMAX to one of their screens and I might say, it blew me away watching the horrible Transformers movie. Though how can I say no to Megan Fox in IMAX? There's also a 3 or 4-level parking structure so parking should be a breeze to locate. I also recommend you Fandango your tickets since the lines can get a little tedious. Your date will thank you knowing you were already prepared. My only complaint is this 'is' an enormous destination for South Gate-Downey pre-teens to gather during the weekend to reiterate their derivative weiner jokes. read more

Have a love for movies? Well, this spot is A-OK! Not the absolute greatest but it does the trick. This is my first time here and from the outside it appeared to be a little run down. Inside was a bit confusing because I was not sure where I should go to purchase my ticket. They had two different windows. One to the far Left and one to the far right. They have a pretty big mini arcade going on inside. Everything about this Edwards location appears to be LOUD. Even in the theater. I started getting a headache because the sound system was so good and loud! The chairs were comfortable. Female restrooms are on the far left and males are on the far right. That was a bit of an inconveniences if you ask me. IMAX is coming soon to this edwards. I would say that this edwards could benefit from a face lift. Overall, this isn't the best edwards that i've been to but its just average. parking lot is shared amongst many other businesses so it may be hard to locate. Happy movie watching folks! read more

Not the most pleasant ambience outside the theater nor in the restroom, but these two key points merit the high rating: 1) Parking a plenty. 2) Small Crowds- not sure if this is the norm, but last time we saw Thor 3D Imax, showed up an hour early to get prime seats...only about 1/3 of the theater ended up being filled. This is the worst theatre I've been to in SoCal. The seats are ancient and uncomfortable, it's dirty, the staff is incredibly slow (I understand you're mainly young people, but showtimes are a deadline), and the projectors they're using are horrible! We saw 'Solo' and it was at least 20% too dark and out of focus. This isn't the first time and i even asked an employee who was doing a check and he said, 'that's just how ours look.' Saturday, August 20 went to see bullet train at 7:50 pm in Stadium 6 the ac was not on in the room so it was hot. Told one of the staff members about the issue they said they would see what they can do. Never got a response back or anything, which made the movie really uncomfortable had to walk out and leave about an hour and thirty-six minutes in after running out of drink and popcorn. You know those movie scenes where something horrible goes wrong and a healthy breathing person suddenly goes thru a magical transformation where they go from human form, to skeleton form, to death? Think holy grail scene of Indiana Jones and the last crusades.... well that is exactly what goes on when you wait in line for food in this establishment. One of the slowness and worst experiences you can have in any movie theater in souther California is in this very line for food. I'm actually still in line as I type this. I'm somewhere in the skeletal stage entering the death stage. I don't even know how to describe the service here any more, slow, frustrating , inefficient, death. Every employee that works the register is the sloth from Zootopia. If I had a time machine like back to the future I would go back in time 2 hours and go to a different theater. Still in line and it keeps growing and growing. I was the last person in line and now as I turn around it's like the scene in Avenger end game when all the lost avengers come back from portals and there's an army standing behind him. I'm captain America with loads of customers behind me resembling an army. Oh I'm still waiting, it's been what, 20+ minutes. Why don't I just leave you ask? I have a 3 year old I promised popcorn to. And like the hobbits in all those lord of the ring movies I am committed to this. Anyhow, I figured typing this as I wait would make this go faster. It hasn't. Very agonizing as i look up and see the staff moving in slow motion. The only theater that had tickets for Incredibles 2 but it was for the IMAX which was fine. The picture and sound was better than a regular movie. The concession staff is terrible ! The lines were so long and our cashier was so rude and slow!!! She gave me the soda cup all full of soda dripping down the cup and I asked if she had a napkin because the cup was all dirty and she said you can do a napkins over there and pointed to the napkins and straws section . I feel that she should serve the soda correctly so it's not dripping all over the cup or clean it ! Not give it to the customer like that. The popcorn has no flavor even when we added butter. Very disappointing went to watch the premier of Birds of prey and in the middle of the movie the sound goes off minutes later so does the projector we waited for 25 minutes thinking they were gonna put it back up and nothing . I had to go ask the manager we waited another 15 minutes before they can and told us their was a malfunction and they had to refund us the money. Wow this place sucks. Like it's really really bad. I mean movie tickets are cheap but it comes at a price in a way with all you have to deal with. The women's restrooms are absolutely disgusting, completely trashed. Toilet paper everywhere except the stalls, shit literally on the floor and toilets, paper towels overflowing from the trash cans like absolutely disgusting one of the worst public bathrooms I've seen. The lines at the food court are extremely long and that's expected of course all movie theaters have long lines but these move extremely slow, I mean 30-45 minutes in line slow. Also if you don't enjoy the company of little evil humans aka kids do not come here it is full of them. This place is a common area for kids and teenagers and there's a lot of them. Maybe that's why the place is so trashed. The theater seating itself is super small and narrow so difficult to get to your seat. We went to watch the Joker and if you haven't seen it already it takes place in New York and most of the scenes are in alleys or dirty places ect I damn near felt like I was in the movie with all the trash around me. Also when our movie started the kids around us were sooooo rude one kid next to us was on his cellphone the ENTIRE MOVIE! It was sooo distracting and him and his friends kept talking throughout the movie having full blown conversations!! Overall this is the worst movie theater I've ever been to I would absolutely never come back even if it was free this place is too disgusting, dirty and uncomfortable to be in I can't believe whoever owns this establishment how careless they are to their business this place is complete trashed! This is terrible when they are located in a place where there's a lot of Hispanics. I have been coming to this theatre since it opened in the 90's. It was the most state of the art theatre near South gate at the time. I've got many good memories here. The theatre sees large crowds, many families and constant use. So while it's seen better days outta still pre top notch incorporating good folks and even atom. Today what impressed me was the helpfulness of the manager Mr. Torres and his security staff. My friend gave me an early birthday gift and brought me to see IT cheer me up after getting a severe illness diagnosed. But my friend lost his keys, and I was wiped out and in pain as that's what happens now. They helped us look for the keys and will notify us of they turn up. Small kindnesses mean alot, especially to people with invisible disabilities. Bravo and well done to this team! read more
