Heather helped me select the flooring and was great. Scott did an amazing job coordinating to get a huge crew so minimal inconvenience for us. I was so happy and impressed with Regal Flooring the first time I worked with them, but I was very disappointed the second time around, and I no longer recommend working with this business. First time, I was putting in hardwood flooring throughout my home. Fred was very attentive and I received top-notch service and beautiful floors. Last year, I finally moved forward with putting a carpet runner on the stairs. A small job but important to me. Fred remembered me, was all smiles and said he'd come out to measure. Then he told me to work with a gentleman whose name, I think, was "Chuck". I picked out samples to take home with me, and the gentleman wrote down my name, phone number and job information on a scrap of paper. When I went back days later to return the samples and let the gentleman know which carpet I'd selected, he didn't know who I was and couldn't find the scrap of paper with my information. So, I gave him the information again, and again he wrote it on a scrap of paper. I asked when Fred would come to measure. The gentleman didn't know. He said they'd call me. After about a week of waiting, I called the shop and spoke with the same gentleman, who again didn't know who I was and couldn't find my information. I asked to speak with Fred, and he said Fred was out of the country and he didn't know when Fred would return. The experience continued to go downhill, ultimately resulting in Fred's son calling me to schedule a measuring appointment, then calling me at the last minute to reschedule due to a family emergency. He said he'd call me later that day to reschedule, and I never heard from him again. Hey Fred, if you weren't interested in doing a very small job for me, I wish you'd been honest about it rather than waste my time. read more

We ordered carpet from here in September. This was honestly my favorite part of decorating a new home (and I hate interior designing...just not my forte). We walked in and were greeted by friendly staff. We told them what we were looking for and they invited us to just pull all the samples from the wall we liked and pile them up. So much fun! Then we told them our price point and they eliminated the samples that were over that. We were left with 7 samples, which they invited us to take home for a few days. We laid them out in the new space and saw them in different lights before choosing our favorite. They were able to schedule pretty quickly and were professionals when installing. There is only one seam you can see in our carpet, and they told us a few things we can do to make it less noticeable. I wouldn't recommend this place for tile, because we didn't have the best experience on that front, but carpet was solid. read more

My wood installer recommended Regal. I had been to several places and had really struggled to find a wood floor which I loved. They have a GREAT selection and the pricing is also excellent. I compared pricing on wood floors which I had seen at other stores and Regal was consistently better.... this made me feel comfortable buying a flooring which I had not seen elsewhere, but was of a similar price point. Regal fluorine just finish my staircase and upstairs hallway. From the very beginning, I can tell you they were extremely professional, followed up on everything they said, showed up on time, checked in with me during the process to make sure that I was happy, and the result is high-quality work. Awesome Design Service and Excellent Customer Service This is the best design center in all of San Diego. It is a family owned shop that really has the best customer service of all design centers I have been to. They spend the extra time to get to know you and help you select products that will work with your home. The prices are reasonable & comparitive to the bigger shops, but the design experience in helping you select is priceless! I purchased all of the carpet and tile for my home from Regal Flooring. I am now in the process of purchasing the Kitchen Backsplash from them (a natural stone / Glass tile combo). This was a challenging kitchen backsplash project but Victoria at this shop was willing to think about it over several days , come out to my house to see the rest of the decor I have, and come up with a pattern for my kitchen that will really work. We bought a house in La Costa back in April 2013 and the cheap laminate flooring that had been poorly installed was a mess. It was not installed correctly--namely, the concrete foundation was not prepared properly--and it had cracks and buckles everywhere. After obtaining multiple flooring estimates from local and national companies in the area, we were feeling disenchanted with the whole process. We couldn't get answers to our basic questions, and felt like we were getting the runaround and were setting ourselves up for disaster. In came Fred and Regal Flooring to the rescue. After I first contacted Fred, he immediately responded, set up a time to come take measurements in the next day or two, and took care to understand our budget and our goal for the project. He recommended a beautiful acacia flooring that was exactly what we were looking for, and was able to get us a great price on it. As a first-time homeowner and doing our first major project, we naturally had a lot of concerns and a lot of questions. Fred and his staff were patient, responsive, and extremely knowledgable and informative. Choosing them to do our flooring project was a no-brainer. I searched the BBB to find they have a high rating so took the plunge. The communication via chat as I awaited the arrival of my delivery was great and kept my concern down. We visited numerous shops, looked at all kinds of materials, and settled on working with Rrgal Flooring. I knew Regal was the right place after having Fred, the owner, over to review the project. Fred has deep experience in this business and was able to identify details in our old house that changed the material we decided to use. There were door jam variances, numerous other technical details that Fred knew, others never brought up. His installment crew was amazing. Abe, Latif and company did am incredible job, very detail oriented. They finished ahead of schedule! I have never seen a crew work so hard. Regal's prices were fair too, and Fred even had a special finish guy come in for some last minute details around the fireplace and garage door entry that were more specific. We were buying a new house and knew we wanted to get hardwoods installed upstairs. The builder was charging an arm and a leg so we had the builder install carpet and we said we'd get someone to install the hardwood after we bought the home. We called around and got three estimates. Regal flooring was not the very cheapest (all were in same close range), but at the end of the day it didn't come down to only price. We thought we wanted the stairs to be wood also. Scott and Dan met us at the model homes and discussed with us in detail the advantages and options available to redo the stairs. Unfortunately due to design of the house and budget it wasn't really feasible in the near term to do the stairs. However, we did hire Scott and Regal to do the hardwoods on the whole second level of our new home. We penciled in the target date of occupancy and asked that because we wanted the house done quickly - so we could actually live in it - could we get 2 crews of guys to work on the floors to get it done 2X as quick. Scott said we could - as we were scheduling out a month plus - as the house wasn't quite finished yet. This was a big deal for us - as we were transitioning from Chicago. Regal's two crew started promptly the day after we took possession. The crew was on time, polite, hard working, diligent and cleaned up daily. The crew started by taking out the brand new pad and carpet and neatly rolled it. They knew we were going to donate the carpet to habitat for humanity so they were careful about taking it out in large pieces, rolling it and they even measured the pieces as required by Habitat. It was great that we were able to benefit a worthy cause with our newly ripped out new carpet and we got the support of the team to do that... The hardwoods were installed in less time than originally estimated. I believe the original estimate was 8 - 10 days - as it was appx 2000 sq ft. The crew worked 6 days a week and the work was done in 6 days. We'd scheduled the movers for day 8 and told the crew that - so we all knew that if the trim wasn't done by then - they'd be working around the movers... ;) I love my new floors, they match the hardwood downstairs perfectly. The entire team was effective, conscientious about their work and the floors are beautiful. There was tile and travertine that the floors had to butt up against and the transitions were all handled very well. The guys even touched up the paint in the areas where there were inevitable dings. Towards the end of the job, Fred the owner stopped by to check on the progress - which was appreciated. Knowing the whole team cares about the delivery / installation is huge. Lastly, knowing this is a family run business makes this purchase even more satisfying. I very strongly urge you to contact Regal floors for your work. We will be going to regal when we need to redo the carpet on the stairs and would strongly encourage others to give them a shot for their flooring needs as well. read more

They dropped the ball so many times, it's like they don't know how to play ball; or where the ball is: or care where the ball is; A long history of satisfied customers has just come to an end; maybe because the owner is phasing out and his son is taking over without the same ethics or attention to detail. I will advise my realtor, friends, neighbors, relatives, anyone who is considering REGAL to RECONSIDER, or they will be living a nightmare when renovating. Should not be allowed into your home without booties and hand washing, even then; should not be invited into your home. I found Todd at Regal Flooring when looking for floor repairs I needed done as a result of water damage. Todd responded, and came to the house within hours and had a plan by the next day. I got several estimates and chose Regal Flooring for the stair carpet and bathroom tile. Both jobs were done quickly and beautifully.
