Took my car in for an oil change & tire rotation. Price on that was acceptable. Timeliness was too. They tried to upsell me over $1,000 of "extras" that I said no to. Then they said my windshield needed replaced, but not to worry insurance would pay for it. Declined that too, but for peace of mind took car to an actual glass shop for a second opinion. Glass tech said there was slight delamination but it was cosmetic & didn't pose any problem. Glass shop also said they were 99.9% sure insurance would NOT cover it. READ THIS CAUTION ABOUT REGAL GMC LAKELAND FLORIDA The used car I bought from Regal GMC was for my 90-year-old Dad whose Buick Lacrosse was totaled in an accident not his fault. I had searched for a replacement with the exact same car for safety concern as he was familiar with the controls, and found that vehicle at Regal GMC, Lakeland, Florida online. I purchased it from out of state relying on Regal's assurance of good condition and having passed their 58-point inspection. Upon delivery, we found terrible noise from the front suspension which the local Buick dealer's shop conformed to be severe deterioration of both struts, control arms, and sway bar. Repairs to make this car safe for my Dad cost $1,795. The Regal salesman denied any knowledge and I was referred to various managers who answered neither phone messages nor emails. The owner Sal Campisi provides a direct email contact on the website, to which he repeatedly did not respond. After three months I reached an assistant-to-manager Joe Platt who asked for confirmation of the problem; this was supplied by our local Buick dealer who made repairs, sending detailed description and photos of the problems. I was assured that the issue was "sent to management" in good faith for consideration of some reimbursement for costs in view of the false representation of condition. Those "assurances" continued for two additional months with no decision. Now at five months after purchase and after a final email requesting at minimum the courtesy of reply and decision in any fashion, I have ceased expectation that this dealership holds ethics of honesty or responsibility to their customer. I must seriously doubt that any materials sent by the local Buick dealer were even reviewed. We needed a larger vehicle for our growing family and had decided the Yukon XL was the way to go. Unfortunately, our experience with most of the dealerships were absolutely awful! We are accustomed to luxury car dealerships, so perhaps the problem is that we were expecting too much from the GMC dealerships. Either way, we were lucky enough to land in the hands of Lisa Cheshire and Darrel Montgomery at Regal and we were finally able to take home our new XL. I initially inquired about a Suburban through their website as we were deciding between the two GM options. Lisa Cheshire assisted us and we could tell immediately that the experience at Regal was different than the rest. Ultimately, we decided the Yukon XL was the way to go and she couldn't assist us further since she was at the Regal Chevrolet location. We explained that we would be needing a XL for the next 15-20 years and wanted the same long-term relationship with a GMC dealer like we had with our BMW dealer. Without hesitation, Lisa said she had the perfect person for us and connected us with Darrel at the GMC dealer. She could have discouraged us from buying the XL or treated us poorly since it cost her a sale, but instead she did what was right for us. I was truly impressed! Once connected with Darrel, he assisted us in locating and transferring in the vehicle we needed quickly. He qualified us for any rebates we were eligible for and I felt like we got a fair deal. Darrel has been at selling at Regal GMC for 8+ years and we will be leasing our next few Yukon XL's from him as long as he is there! Car dealerships do not usually understand customer lifetime value, but I feel like at Regal they do. We completed most of our dealings over email so we didn't have to bring in our young kids while we discussed pricing and such, which made it super simple to wrap up our paperwork. Darrel was ready for us and Pedro in finance was also a great representation of Regal. He was friendly, quick and efficient! If you are looking for a GMC, give Regal a chance even if it is not the closest dealership. You will be treated respectfully and like a person, not just a sale. read more

Never buy again from this dealer! I recently bought my second vehicle from Regal GMC and have written good reviews of them in the past. The salesman Darrell Montgomery was outstanding. His manager Mike Galloway was also great. I was very pleased with the Truck and the buying experience from these two men. "However" ... my opinion of the dealership changed completely once I was in front of the finance manager to finalize the purchase. So you will not think my review is in some way due to a credit issue I will tell you I wrote a check for the entire cost of the truck and did not need any assistance with finance. This was a straight forward and simple purchase of a truck. The finance manager quoted me a price for an extended warranty that was more than $2000 over what it should have cost. What he did not know at that time was I had shopped the plan at another dealership and already knew the costs! He was sitting there smiling at me while telling me he (the dealership) was going to "give" me a wraparound warranty on my power train for life as part of my extended warranty purchase. He was going to give it to me! When I challenged him on the price he claimed I was wrong, the state of Florida regulates the prices and all dealer sell the same products. He started to get pushy when I said I was going to delay the deal to check what he was saying. Why wait, I am telling the truth and you got bad info from the other dealer! They quoted you Gold coverage not Platinum! After I looked into things again, I discovered that Regal was including the "free" power train coverage into their quote for extended warranties. I "had" actually gotten correct quotes for Platinum coverage not Gold Coverage. Regal's free additional coverage actually costs about $2000.00 more than the actual policy I wanted. Why not just quote the costs and let the customer select what they want. Now I don't know if this finance manager was acting under direction from the ownership or if this is his own little scam. But ... it does not matter. He is an agent of the dealership and they are responsible for what he does. IMHO based on what happened to me it is a scam and the practice is unethical. I would never buy from this dealer again. I wonder how many other customers left the dealership thinking they got something free for being a loyal Regal customer without knowing they actually paid $2000 for the privilege! read more

I took my Chevrolet Colorado to the north Lakeland Regal dealership because of a recall notice I received from Chevrolet. I've recently moved to the state of Florida and picked the closest Chevrolet dealership to my new home. I'm SO GLAD I DID! Not only was the replacement part installed, but my bright red truck was washed so well it looked like a new vehicle!!! They sold us a car with faulty airbags after telling us that they would fix it. Before we knew what was really wrong with the airbags, they let my husband drive off the lot twice with our 3 year old son knowing that airbags would not deploy in case of an accident. They said it would cost $4700 to fix and that we were on our own. With the help from our lawyer and finding this fraudulenty signed "as is" contract they concocted from their finance department, they finally agreed to take the car back and give us a refund. They also took my husband's handgun and an extra loaded magazine from the center console of his car without his permission! We got our money and everything back but we just want to share our story so that this does not happen to anyone else. We definitely learned our lesson after dealing with these people. read more

We walked in to the showroom and literally bumped into the perfect truck. We looked it over (and over) amazed that we had found it. Let me start off by saying if I could give you a ZERO I would. But being I have to click 1 that's why you got it. I was there for 4 hours and decided I did not get the deal I wanted which was OK but then the salesmen called back and made a good offer so we drove back from Plant City and when we got there the salesmen never checked with the Manager. I was so upset. So they decided to give us the truck liner. It took another 3 hours to do the paperwork. They sent us over to the used car section to do the paperwork and that office was so gross. Carpets stained and the chairs where to. So we finally leave and they say they will order the liner. Then on Tuesday a new salesmen called and said our guy was no longer with the company. Then I go to make an appointment for Saturday and my husband drives over after work and guess what they are not open on Saturday. So I call Monday and leave 2 messages and the lady Marcia never calls back finally Jarred ( my new salesmen) calls me and he comes picks up the truck and gets the new liner in for me, and its a cheap one and they did not put together right. We searched the internet for the type of vehicle my husband wanted, a 2017 GMC Canyon SLT, he knew just what he wanted. We knew we wanted to buy local, if we could. We went to look what Regal had on the lot, no SLT's and no white Canyons. We had only arrived into the lot within a minute Cody came out to ask if he could help. He was very pleasant, friendly and best of all not pushy. We told him we knew just what we wanted but there where none on the lot, he said give me 5 minutes I will find you your truck. I had been searching for a Ram diesel pickup for no less than 6 months before stumbling upon Regal via Autotrader.com. I made the trip (approx. 2 hours) to Lakeland and had the opportunity to meet Kelvin Herrington.
