I'm a long-time Acura owner (exclusively Acura since 2012), but Lakeland Regal Acura's service department and Acura Client Relations lack of follow up pushed my patience past its limit. Another electrical failure parked my 2023 RDX under warranty--what followed was nine days of unanswered calls, texts, and e-mails before anyone admitted the part was back-ordered. Here are the facts, minus the phone-tag novel: What went wrong Warranty repair, zero roadmap * Car towed in June 11 for a failed body-control module (BCM). * Dealer first said "part is ordered," but provided no ETA, no status updates. * Only on June 20--after so many attempts for answers--did a new adviser reveal the part is on national back-order with "no idea" when it will arrive. No mobility support * No loaner: "We don't issue loaners without an ETA." * No rental authorization from Acura warranty. * I'm already $500+ in Uber fares and now face an open-ended rental bill. Corporate safety net that isn't * Opened a case with Acura Client Relations on June 13; promised a 24-business-hour callback. * One week later: Still no answers -- and voicemail unreturned. Confidence-shattering detail * Regal staff cited another 2023 owner waiting seven months (so far) for a backordered warranty item * If that's "normal," why sell new cars without a plan to support them? What I've asked for -- and still need * Written confirmation the BCM is truly ordered back-ordered. * Any realistic timeframe (days, weeks, months--just honesty). * Loaner or rental reimbursement so the factory warranty actually means something. Bottom line DON'T VISIT THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT IF YOU VALUE COMMUNICATION. DON'T BUY A NEW ACURA UNLESS YOU HAVE $$$ SET ASIDE FOR RENTALS. Polite, persistent follow-ups should not be met with non-answers. Until Regal Acura--and Acura corporate--prove they stand behind their vehicles, I cannot recommend this service department or the brand. If I could put zero stars on here I would. Today I've gone car shopping at different Acura locations and of all this one was the worst most car dealerships once you walk the lot in 5-10 minutes, you have a salesman speaking to you. I'm waiting in front of the vehicle that I was interested in for about 30 to 40 minutes and not one person has came out and then walk to my car called the dealership to see if anybody was even working today, the receptionist sounded like she didn't even want to work there. It was no help to get me with the manager. Once I make it home, I get a call back from a non-manager and try to transfer me to a manager, then the phone hangs up. This location is beyond the worst for sales. I will never walk this lot again. read more

Poor management, they should be closed down!! Total chaos, employees are non-existent. Appointments are useless. Wasting your time is not important to the General Manager, the Owner, or the employees who barely show up for work. Stay away from this dump, you've been warned. read more

Let me preface by saying between my wife and I, we have have owned a RDX, MDX, TLX and Integra which we bought all from Maus Acura. I have been thinking about trading in my base Integra for an A-Spec but was deter by the price. I happened to look online at Regal Acura and saw a red A-Spec with the Tech package that I was interested in. I have started communicating with Brandon in sales for about a week regarding trading in my 2023 Integra base for this A-Spec trim. Initially there was a little hiccup with my cars value versus what I owed but Regal came through with a lower interest rate from AHC. I definitely recommend Brandon for sales. Ken in finance was also a pleasure as well. I spent about an hour here but that is because I was just talking, signing the papers etc was 10-15 minutes. When my wife is ready to trade in her 23 TLX A-Spec, we will definitely have a hard choice between here and Maus Acura. I have used the service department once a few years ago and it was good, hopefully it didn't change. Thanks read more

Bait & Switch - I was originally working with Maus Acura in Tampa, but the color and trim of the car I was looking for was no longer available at Maus. Maus told me they could work with another dealership that had the car to have the car sent to them. After several days of being told by Maus that the dealership wouldn't respond to them, I decided to do some research and find the car myself. It turns out that the car was at Regal Acura and they were refusing to send the car to Maus. I spoke with Regal myself who told me they would match the offer Maus was giving me. The salesperson gave me his cell number to coordinate a time to come into the dealership to see the car. A few hours later, I texted him a picture of Maus's Extended Benefits asking if they would match it. The extended benefits cover 13 items, including free oil changes and tire rotations. He responded and confirmed that they offer the same benefits with the exception of stolen vehicle and collision reimbursement. I was ok with that and scheduled a time to come into the dealership. On my drive to the dealership the next day, I called one more time to confirm all of the extended benefits they claimed to offer. The salesperson backtracked and said that they provide some of those benefits but "definitely not free oil changes or tire rotations." Once I got to the dealership after driving over an hour from Tampa to Lakeland, I was told that there is "no way they would ever match the deal from Maus." It seems as though I was blatantly lied to just to get me to come into the dealership. This has been such a horrible and stressful car buying experience. I would not recommend working with this car dealership that seemingly plays games and uses old-school tactics to try to deceive their potential customers. read more

I will never do business with them ever again. After multiple delays, misinformation, miscommunication, and even being called "ungrateful" by the Sales Department Manager, I refuse to ever set foot back there again. I was ensured that my car would be ready to purchase on a scheduled day and after driving an hour and a half to the dealership to purchase my vehicle, it was not ready for me. I even called and verified that same morning before driving there to ensure that it would be ready for me upon my arrival. Nobody even bothered to communicate the TRUE status of the vehicle and I wasted an entire day driving to the dealership, just to make that same drive later in the week just for them to finish the prearranged installations on my vehicle. They essentially coerced me into purchasing the vehicle that day by withholding the truth that it was not ready for me but having me drive all the way to them anyway. No compensation for their mistake was offered, even after I politely asked. I was harassed by the management and the sales staff, and was told that they would rather have me return the vehicle and take my business elsewhere if I don't feel satisfied with my purchase from them, after already securing and processing my payment. They will offer to go above and beyond in order to get you to buy from them, but once they secure payment, customer satisfaction plummets. Thomas' willingness to rectify the dealership's mistakes is solely contingent upon you buying their product. If you decline an upsell, they won't offer to compensate for ANY issues on their behalf. Truly appalling, no customer service, Matt the Sales Manager is beyond rude, and David Schultz will even blatantly lie to your face just to get you to buy from them. All I requested was for some gas credits in order to compensate for me having to drive 3 hours to and from the dealership a second time when I was told my vehicle would be ready for me the first time, and it wasn't. Instead, they call me "ungrateful" and tell me to take my business elsewhere after I already bought the car. Honda Corporate already has an open investigation regarding this issue. Costco Corporate is also investigating this issue, as they have special business ties with this dealership. The dealership's owner, Sal Campisi Jr. has also been notified of this blatant disregard for customer service, disrespect, and lack of morality. read more

I took my Acura MDX 2007 to get a oil change, new key made and to replace missings screws. I had a appointment and rescheduled for 12:30pm. Brought car there a hour and half early. The guy Kyle from service checked us in. We left the car so we could pick up later when it was done. He also told me he would check my concern about burning smell, which I agreed. Then I get a call thinking it was him a few hours later but it was parts stating that the key I order day prior came in and they wanted to know if I was bringing in car. I called back and told them the car was already there. Then around 4:00pm comes around there is no call from service or Kyle about car. So I called to get update on phone, for a while they could not find him. They say I have him call you back. We live 35 minutes away and decided to go back to get update on car because it had been 5 hours, car should have been done already. He was at desk when we walked in and stated he just got there and was still waiting on mechanic to give him rest of estimate. Then when he tells us finally 15 minutes later issue with vehicle, we told him what we wanted done. I asked if they already completed the 3 things I brought it in for, he states there cutting the key as we speak and hopes it's correct key. I said what you mean I ordered the key day before because I had an appointment. He says oh I'm sorry I should have asked because I put you as a walk in. I was like what the oil change, key and screws was something that was definitely should have been completed. I also told him to do bolts on front side bender that was suggested. He was like no problem they are taking care of it now. Then we hear him on phone with mechanic letting them know what needs to be done, which means they had done nothing not even inspection while car was there for 5 hours already. While we are waiting he comes and states about how hard it was to pull up vin number and that he was not able to find parts for my Acura MDX 2007 because it was made in Canada. I told him that does not make sense and then he said they are almost done. I don't know if he thought we were stupid but you can put in vin, vehicle type and year to order Acura parts from anywhere those parts are sold. I have never had that issue before and was wondering what parts was he talking about? Screws for splash cover or engine cover because the key was already order, which he seem to not be aware of also. Then he finally finishes with us at 6:00pm so that's 2 hours of waiting, my vehicle was there for total of 7 hours. They charged 2 hours of labor, we asked could the vehicle diagnostics for $88.00 be waived since we paid for other services. He said they could not do it. Then when it was time to leave he disappeared and I asked other service guy if they fixed bolts on front bumper because I did not see it on receipt. The other guy said I'm not sure they did not go into detail on receipt. I went out and that was not fixed, which is one of recommendations they said I should fix. To top it off I get in my car and there is no service sticker to let me know when to do next oil change on vehicle. This is Acura dealership and I was very disappointed, when you spend $400.00 on service you expect better service. Sometimes I don't want to drive 40 minutes and would go to Pepboys but at least it is better service than what I got yesterday. I'm not saying they may not have good service but what I received was horrible and disappointing. I'm never going back to that location and I will be filing complaint. Update since yesterday. The owner and manager of service department did reach out to me about the situation. I'm update to let you know I was informed that is not how they do business and they wanted to make it right. I thanked them for contacting me to apologize and try to make situation better. I declined because I just reported to make sure it does not happen to anyone else. Kyle also apologized and realized what he could have done better. I will not return but at least I know they do value their customers and it will not happen in the future to other customers. I have a 2016 Acura MDX that has a recall for a faulty fuel pump. A recall letter directly from Acura stated that "if the diagnostic scan confirms a previous occurrence of engine stalling, the fuel pump will be replaced for free." I brought this car to Regal three times and ultimately, I had to tell the service manager what the recall was because they had no idea about recall. They then tell me that they fixed sodium deposition on the fuel pump with a software upgrade and will not honor the recall letter. I would be very hesitant to buy a new car at Regal and after 2 Hondas (1988 Accord, 2000 Civic) and 2 Acuras (2001 MDX and 2016 MDX), I will no longer buy Acuras or Hondas. read more

On Saturday, May 12, 2018, I had a second opportunity to work with Troy Carter to get into a new Acura. The lease on my 2015 TLX, which I loved, was almost up, and I was ready to move into a new 2018 TLX. I had looked at other dealerships closer to my home in Tampa, but I honestly knew I didn't want to purchase from anyone BUT Troy due to the pleasant buying experience I had in October 2015. Troy knew we were there to do business, and we appreciate how up front he is with us regarding pricing and our options - we didn't have to go through the ten rounds of back-and-forth to get to a bottom line like we have experienced at other dealerships. I decided on the 2018 TLX w/Tech Package and everything was signed and I was out the door in half the time I was expecting. Troy is in a league of his own when it comes to customer service and salesmanship. I can honestly say we will come see Troy as long as we can. In fact, my husband will be going back to him in a few months to purchase a vehicle, too. Taking the short trip from Tampa is worth the painless and exemplary experience! Every Regal employee we came in contact with is always friendly and helpful, and you leave knowing your long-term relationship is important to the team.. and you leave knowing the Regal Acura... the Regal... experience is the only one you'll want each time you're shopping for a new vehicle. read more

We chose Regal Acura for one reason. Wanda Rivera, She had the exact SUV we were looking for and she offered it at an acceptable price. She also handled most of our transaction by phone so when we got to the dealership most of our time was spent going over the SUV's features and not haggling over price, color or available options. read more

Bait and switch operation. They have a 2016 Impala LTZ advertised with options on offer such as LEATHER SEATS and POWERED SUNROOF in big capitals. The leather seats are certainly available, but not so for the powered sunroof - which appeared not only in the main ad, but also the specifications. They also advertised online a box marked 'sale price' which one would assume meant that they had a better deal going than the asking price of $12,901, but when I clicked on the box and filled in my details all I received in reply was a generalized call to try and sell me on other cars. When I specified that I was only interested in the one car, and that I wanted an idea of the 'sale price' to save me the 50 mile drive to the car yard, the girl dithered until she finally said a sales rep would call back to give me a price - no one ever did. That was a few days ago. Then I got a note today following up in general terms, not about the car in question, and when I pointed out the lack of professionalism involved I received another generalized call trying to sell me any car at all. I finally got them to address the car I was actually interested in and all they quoted me was the original asking price - no mention of a 'sale price'. It was during this conversation that I discovered the car didn't have the sun roof after all, but hey, the guy said "We do have a Chevy Malibu with a sunroof!' - you get the drift. Just typical bait and switch tactics, plus a bogus 'sale price' button designed for the sole purpose of getting your contact details so they can try and sell you on other cars. read more
