Regal gets the job done. It's pretty much the only theater close to the island and if you're in need and obviously have to watch Barbie, this is the place. Good popcorn and beware if you get a large soda it's the LARGEST soda ever. The picture doesn't do it justice, it's huge. Definitely get your bang for your buck. The prices were kind of high for what it was. It's also located in a pretty big strip mall, if you come somewhat early you can shop around too. The staff was pretty helpful and it was decently clean. The seats were comfy but if I had to watch Oppenheimer here my butt might be a little sore. I'd recommend this place to anyone on the island looking for a movie night if you don't wanna travel too far. read more

Many people that are in LBI for the summer are from up north who experience AMC OR Cinemark. Which are amazing theaters. We own a home in LBI so last night the Regal was our first experience. My seat was broken and there was garbage in my chair. Those seats are so old and to sit there for 3 hours my ass was killing me. First time and last time. No way going back. This theatre has not been renovated since it opened because they literally have a captive audience. There are no other movie theatres within a 40-mile radius. The place is dark, dingy, outdated, and dirty. The seats are uncomfortable, sticky, and many are broken. However, the popcorn is good, although way too expensive. When you schedule a movie to start it should start at THAT TIME. Not 40 minutes later. I sat through 25 minutes of commercials most for the snack bar. Than another 15 minutes of previews. So because it started so late, it messed up the plans we had to meet people for dinner. We been here before and never had a movie start so late. This is an old school and not updated theater. Poorly staffed. You buy your tickets at the concession stand. When we entered the theater it smelt like a barn. The seats did not recline or anything fancy. But the popcorn was good. The service was friendly. Our server worked tirelessly to make a gift card go through properly. The sound system was just right. This experience was beyond my highest expectations. The aroma of freshly popped popcorn was so good that I went to purchase some myself. The movie was on a 4k screen which was a very pleasing experience and a delightful welcoming to the brand-new Inside Out 2 production by Pixar. I plan to return to this beautiful theater in the near future. I wish I had good things to say about this place as it's one of few local movie theaters but I don't. Floors are ugly and dirty. Seats are outdated,hard,and don't recline. This place needs serious cleaning and renovations it's so old and smelly I went into the bathroom and there was a smell of mold like come on you don't check for that? The seats are extremely hard and dirty I don't even want to sit down on them. The prices are extreme for the things I get like food the food is ok it could be better I'm not going to complain on that to much because there's more things that I could waste my time on. If this place does get renovated PLEASE DO THE SEATS! The lobby is fine it's so 2008 just wish silt was up to date. I don't look or play the games but when I was younger everything was the same nothing changed besides the staff which is mid honestly. I've been to quite a few movie theaters in my day as a young buck. This has to be the least renovated one. There's no middle seats or an incline to sit eye level with the screen. Gotta look up. I read all of the previous reviews and wouldn't have gone if I hadn't already committed to taking my son to a movie. I was pleasantly surprised. In short, this theater is totally fine. It smells like popcorn and fake butter just like any other theater. Employees are friendly as can be. The seats aren't cutting edge but they're totally adequate for 2+ hours. The screens are not giant but get the job done. So... if you feel like seeing a move and this is your closest theater would not hesitate to go. This theater probably hasn't been updated in 25 years or more, seats are old, small cloth seats than add to the bad odor of the theater. As for the sound system, it too was far outdated. This theater is sad, sticky, severely sound antiquated. Why has the only theater within a 50 mile radius not been either torn down or given a complete upgrade? The theaters resemble what I imagine a large holding cell to be. The seats are wooden, rickety and make Catholic school desks from the 60's seem comfy. The rugs, floors and basically everything is shabby and sticky. I have seen my last movie here, sadly I will drive an hour, but I am done. The first issue was the smell of the theater. Dirty mop heads? Old saturated seat cushions and carpet? Gross. The butter on the popcorn had an odd...coconut flavor maybe? I remember when this place first opened. It was a big deal, finally we didn't have to go to Toms River, or fight the tourists on LBI. It was a great a place. These days, it's showing its age. It doesn't have stadium seating, a bar, restaurants or any of that jazz. Now I don't know anything about it smelling like urine or vermin. It was clean today. It's just that it's old. Plus, it was kind of understaffed. 2 people doing tickets (they really need more automated ticket machines), and 2 people doing concessions. The concessions took quite a while. I had no issue with the projection quality or the sound system in this theater; but the service up front was *staggeringly* slow, and for that reason I actually missed the beginning of the film. As others have noted, the theater was freezing (in summer), and the seats are old-fashioned and not especially comfortable. read more

The first thing you notice when you enter your theater is the smell, a sour smell. The second thing are the uncomfortable seats that must be from the 1970s. They were extremely disrespectful.Customer service was absolutely horrible. My girls got there bag checked for absolutely no reason at all. After I seen multiple other girls not get there bags checked. I definitely don't recommend. My girls told me that a employee were staring at them. And they were extremely disrespectful. And my girl also heard the workers talking about how another movie had alcohol in it and it was stinking the whole place up. But how would they get it in there if they were bag checking? I'm gonna assume they are racist because my girls were women of color. By far the worst movie theaters my kids have ever been to. And where told they can't be on there phone when a worker was also on her phone staring at them. Everyone else was allowed in no problem but my girls had there bag checked? Lacking! Only cinema around this area. Some screens are to high and you have to look up more than any other theater I have been to. Seat arm rest constantly fall off and some screening rooms smell like piss. Also some movies seem to have a person hard of hearing running the sound as it can be way to loud. The theater does have a nice selection of movies and a huge snack bar that seems very clean. I only go here because it's local and they take MoviePass. Getting popcorn and candy? Well you better have time because the service at the snack bar is slower than a snail . 2 people on line in front of me and it took 15 minutes before my turn.
