If I could leave zero stars I would. Today I drove the 35+ miles from San Diego to Oceanside for the 12:45 showing of Furious 7 because that was the only place it was playing within a 50 mile radius. When I arrived I was told the projector was not working in that theater and they were canceling all the showings for the day. Obviously this was disappointing and inconvenient. I do realize things break, but shouldn't a theater have some contingency plan? Someone on call who knows how to repair projectors, perhaps? But the main reason I give the experience 1 star is the attitude of the workers...who basically just shrugged and said "sorry." They had no clue when it would be repaired and didn't offer anything (free rain check ticket) for my troubles. Completely unprofessional experience. read more

Not really sure about all the low star reviews but this place is pretty legit. Didnt seem dirty to me and prices are just like every other place. Only reason im giving this place a 4star review is due to the parking being kinda a pain in the ass. If it is raining like it was when i took my son here the other night u might wanna bring a umbrella or u will be pretty soaked by the time u get to the ticket booth. Love how there are several places to get several different types of food along with like 4-5 bars with in walking distance......so if u got some time to kill why not kill it with a beer in ur hand. read more

We came here for a low key night whilst on vacation, and really didn't like what we found. You must use the box office outdoors because there are no self-service kiosks. The lines for food or drink are incredibly slow. And the bathrooms! Worse than the public restrooms on the beach. The movie theaters themselves are decent enough to watch a movie in, but the establishment is generally unappealing. Think twice before going. read more

Dirtiest theater I've ever been in. Literally threw away the clothes I wore after watching the movie. It's super unfortunate, since it's the one of the only local theaters and the staff them self are at least super friendly. We live locally and will never come to this theater again. I will happily drive to Carlsbad to see movies. We do come to this location a lot, but after yesterday I will never return. We got there around 2:30ish in between movie start times. We went to get ice cream and then my 4 year old really wanted to go inside the theater and play video games until the movie started. The movie didn't start until after 7 pm but we were fine with letting him play for a bit and then walk around townsite and then come back. Nope ! One of the employees came over and asked if we had tickets to see a movie, I said all the movies are playing later tonight for kids. We are just keeping him busy. She said my manager says you cant hang out in the arcade if you don't have tickets. We did have tickets but not until later. I told her, we are spending money here in the arcade .... she said she doesn't make the decisions it's the manager and we have to leave ! I was shocked ! Who does that ? We were just playing video games with our son ! Spending money ! Those games are 1.00 to 2.00 per play and he NEVER wants to stop. I don't understand it at all. But that's fine, you lost three customers for life. The theater needs to be updated as well, can't justify paying the same price there as another theater that has reclining seats and is actually nice to their customers. read more

After reading yelp comments we almost changed theaters but we didn't and it didn't disappoint! Seats were just fine, no torn cloths and as clean as any other theater!! We pre-bought tux and was a gentleman greeting us immediately for tickets. At least 4 people working snack stand and was very quick. I'd go back again this week!!! read more

Snack prices aren't the worst I've seen, but I've never been too pleased with the customer service here, never any incentive to do more then required. Other than the lack of parking here, this is actually not a bad theater. There are lots of marines, who despite their party hard reputation, I find to be very respectful most of the time. The place does get a bit crowded for the popular flicks, but what theater doesn't? Love the location inside the developing downtown. read more

This theater is going downhill fast. Concessions are often slow. You usually have to complain to someone to get the air turned on in the individual theater. The worst part now is that they are always short cashiers and the guests are forced to pick out your seat at checkout. They are forcing us to pick which old, crappy seat we want to sit in when getting our tickets. Worst part the cashier seldom knows the theater lay out and they are always swamped with people. Showed up for a movie tonight. I was 15 minutes early at 9:30 at night but there was at least 60 people in line with one cashier! No way was she going to get to me before the movie started. Went inside to speak with the manager. She said that she couldn't sell me a ticket inside and that there was nothing she could do to speed up the ticket sales outside. I was just going to have to stand in line and miss the beginning of my movie. Unacceptable. I went home. read more

This theater was highly disappointing. I brought my nieces and nephew here to see Star Wars. Doors only opened 20 minutes before the matinee. Parking was a royal pain. And the the worst part was the size of the screen which was barely larger than our home screen. For an epic such as Star Wars??!! I barely see my extended family and wanted this to be a special treat for the kids and was extremely disappointed in the experience and will never return to this theater again. This theater desperately needs to be updated. You pay the same price as you would at the Regal in Carlsbad except at least at that location you are comfortable and the place is clean. We came in today to see the new Avengers right at open, and the bathrooms were already gross...so I'm assuming they don't really clean them then since they had literally just opened. Also both bathrooms I went in were out of soap and paper towels and half the stalls didn't have toilet paper. I didn't have an issue with the staff or the movie or sound quality.. I just think that you get a better movie experience elsewhere. read more

I'm only giving this 1 star because this app makes you. I recently watched a movie here and almost felt like leaving immediately. I'm not sure if all Regal theaters are kept up like this but this was by far the dirtiest theater I've ever stepped into. If management can't recognize the cleanliness issue than they should probably be let go. The seats were stained and ripped up while in between the seats you could see popcorn and spilled soda. The floor felt like I was walking on pancake syrup. Also, they started shutting everything down before the last showing. I wanted to order pizza but I was informed that the stove was already shutdown for the evening(my show hadn't even began showing the trailers yet). So if your going to this theater make sure it's for an earlier showing because they switch to a limited menu even though you are paying the same priced ticket as the customers from the earlier shows. I have not been to other Regal properties so I can't speak for them but the property in Oceanside needs to be addressed....and that starts with management. read more

Terrible. Terrible service. No parking. You have to find it in the street which can be a challenge on busy nights. Long wait to buy tickets because they have an idiotic system of buying the tickets in the concession line. It took 20 minutes to buy tickets at 4:00pm on a Sunday. Mentioning this was a poor system to the manager resulted in her saying I needed to tell "corporate". When I said I was telling her and she could pass it along she said "no" so that's good customer service right there. Never going back. Carlsbad is much nicer. Better customer service. read more

Yeah, old facility, the faux leather headrests are cracked with age on many of the seats in the particular theater I was in, seats were stained, etc., etc... My gripe was the 15-minutes I waited in line (mid-movie) for the concession stand while the manager and two employees seem to be demonstrably telling stories to each other and only two were at the stand. When one of the line-jammers wanted to pay with a $100 bill, the manager finally came over to inspect the bill and then promptly walked off. That was that last time we're going to this dump. Homeless people and a couple of roll-by/roll-down drug deals going on weren't enough but the staffing issue at the concession stand did it. Screen clarity and brightness was fine (Sony 4k). Sound was OK, a little too directional. Save yourself the grief and go to the San Marcos location. MUCH better there. read more

Seems like they forgot to update the theaters itself. During my multiple experience with this theater, the prices are fair being that it is a franchise, and the the lobby is updated (not state-of-the-art, but it's of-the-art) however it seems like the actual theaters need a little touch-up. The theaters are simply decent. The sound quality and picture would stand at about a 5/10. With the sound being the savior. The screens could be improved on some more. The seats don't recline and aren't really comfy after an hour. Needless to say, it still needs work. The food prices are typical, I bought a small popcorn for $7.50 (I'll let you decide) and on top of that it was completely stale. I gave up eating it real quick. The plus side? The blonde with the black writers glasses who served the popcorn was attractive, so I wasn't angry. Parking is pretty good & free. There's plenty of parking lots around and real close to the theater. I went there about 6pm on a Friday and there was parking for days. I also went about 9pm on a Friday, and there was still parking available, real advantage. With that being said, this place is simply decent. If you just want to catch a flick on a boring day without much care on the quality of film or food then go for it. read more

Me and my boyfriend decided to go out on a date night, little did we know that we would be paying $27 to have such a shitty experience, the line 1st of all took 15 minutes to get a soda, I understand that movie theaters can get busy but this movie theater was way too understaffed Me and my boyfriend went into movie theater number 15, I don't know if that one is different from the others but it literally smelled like some homeless guy threw up ran a marathon (sweat smell) and piss in the theater, there was a kid camping in the theater right next to us so we moved also we had a couple behind us that were talking very loud, I know that something that you don't normally complain about about a business, and I wouldn't complain about it normally if A theater tenant didn't come in andhear the man yell and not do anything about it didn't come in and listen to them yelling in the theater. To top it off the lights in the theater came on before the movie was finished Definitely Not worth the money, I had a terrible experience here I will never go back read more

Went to see a movie on Saturday night. It was probably 70 degrees outside. So naturally I was a little warm when I got inside the theater. It was less than 5 minutes later that I realized the air conditioning in the theater wasn't working. And it never turned on. At all. Its ok. The theatre is pretty old but they've done the best they can to keep it clean. The seats don't recline so I found myself adjusting a bit throughout the movie (Hercules 3D with The Rock, yes please!). Something unique was a double cup holder. If you wanted to put your armrest up to snuggle with your movie date then there was an additional cup holder at the level of the seat. Kinda cool but doesn't make up for the lack of ability to recline. read more
