Too many issues consistently to mention but when an average 2 person date is $75 for food/tickets you'd think they could repair the chairs every decade or so. Or let you know not to sit in certain chairs they charge $20 a ticket for that are literally sandpaper and falling apart. Also maybe having more than 1 hotdog cooked every 6 hours lol would be awesome. A 40 min wait for a couple hotdogs is hilarious. read more

I recently visited this theatre to see The Housemaid. Overall, I was happy with the experience. The theatre had seating that was comfortable and clean. The back of the seat did recline in theatre 9, but have heard not all the theatres have this. The sound and picture quality were good. However, the concession stand prices blow my mind these days. $10 for a small popcorn and $10 for a small drink is pretty steep. This location did have a bar, but it did not appear open. I did go to a 1pm showing so that might have something to do with it. read more

My son and I went to see the movies, The Strangers, Chapter 3 on 2/4/26. The movie theater is outdated, chairs do not recline and are very uncomfortable. The sound was in and out at times. The popcorn had too much salt and was at the bottom with no real kernals. The soda was flat so I asked for a new one and the person behind the counter gave me an attitude. The experience was very negative and I am sad to see such by a Regal establishment. read more

I've been coming to this theater since 1995, long before it rebranded under Regal, so I'm no stranger to the movies, the atmosphere, or the rising costs. Now that I have kids, my wife and I love bringing them here it's part of our family time. This particular Regal location deserves five stars for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and comfortable seating. However, I'm giving three stars overall because of ongoing corporate decisions that hurt the family experience. First, it's disappointing that Regal eliminated military discounts years ago. And today, I found out they no longer offer box trays or extra trays unless you purchase a combo or kids' meal clearly a move to force sales rather than serve customers. Spending over $100 on tickets and another $100 at concessions, only to be told we couldn't get an extra tray to share a popcorn bucket with our family of four, was just petty and disheartening. On top of that, there's still a $2.00 online booking charge a fee that's been quietly going on for a while. Again, this isn't an issue with the hardworking staff or the location itself it's a corporate problem that feels completely unbelievable in today's market. This corporate mindset prioritizing profits over creating a welcoming family atmosphere is exactly why more and more families are just choosing to wait for home releases instead of coming to the movies. What used to feel special now feels like you're being nickel-and-dimed at every turn. Truly disappointed. Regal, please listen to your longtime customers and do better. read more

We really enjoy this Regal Theater. They have friendly, helpful staff. Also, a varied selection of concession snacks just inside the main door. The seats are comfortable and clean and they feature current movies. There is a bar in lobby and some places to sit if you get there early. They have convenient parking very close to the entrance. Like booking an airplane for a trip, there are many "class" options available at various price points at Regal. I chose the RPX option, which is supposed to be a more premium experience all around. The truth however, it's only slightly better than their own basic theaters, but not on par with other theaters' "premium/luxury" experiences. The experience was good however, just maybe temper some expectations when comparing to cinepolis or any place with THX certified theaters The biggest fail here is how you purchase tickets on-site. I just needed to buy a souvenir cup for Alien Romulis. The wait for one group of people deciding on tickets and food was 10 minutes. Unacceptable when your movie is about to start. They need to seperate ticket buying from people ording food expecially when there's only one open counter. One thing I do like is that at Regal (and other threaters) you can buy special drink and popcorn collectibles for the movie you're watching. read more

The jerk in the next station, knowing full well I had arrived before the other people that were now behind me took them in front of me causing me to miss the beginning of my movie and the manager on duty was absolutely appalling and I ended up leaving and going to the Carlsbad location which has reclining seats so it's all well and good in the end but I will never go back to Regal Mission marketplace. read more

Many years ago I probably would not have given this theater such a high review but since their remodel after being owned by Regal, the theater has really changed! I always loved coming here for great priced tickets, easy parking, and reliability of the theater/movies/showtimes. With the remodel, this might be my new favorite go-to theater. It's very clean and organized, all staff members really focus on customer service and are just nice and welcoming in general, and it's bright lights really make you feel like you are going to the movies. I love that a lot of the theaters are a bit smaller for a cozier movie feel. Some theater rooms have recliners and some don't. I've never really cared one way or the other. I hope this review reaches Regal management or ownership. I've been a loyal customer of this location for nearly three years. Up until about six months ago, we never had a single issue ticket prices were fair, concessions were reasonably priced and consistently fresh, and the theaters were always clean and comfortable. It was our go-to spot. Unfortunately, our last three visits have been disappointing enough that we're now reconsidering future trips. First, the price increases are hard to ignore. RPX tickets now cost us around $48 for two adults, and standard showings are about $32. On top of that, concessions which used to be a highlight--now average $38 for just a large popcorn, two drinks, and two candies. Altogether, we're spending upwards of $70 per visit. That would be understandable if the experience matched the price, but sadly, it hasn't. Second, concession quality has become inconsistent. Sometimes the popcorn is stale, and on our most recent visit opening weekend for Superman, no less popcorn wasn't even available at all. That was a major letdown. We want to keep supporting this theater, but the rising costs and declining experience make it difficult. Right now, there's no "wow" factor to keep us coming back. read more

Last night on Thursday, August 1, 2024 sometime in the evening after 7 p. m. I met my good friend Danny at the Regal Cinemas at the Mission Marketplace Theatre. We didn't know what specific movie that we were going to watch yesterday night. When we both arrived at the same time at 7 p. m. we walked into the front door and we looked at these different kinds of movies that were on display on their poster boards on the wall inside the lobby area. I saw there was already a long line of people waiting in the refreshment stand to buy popcorn and their soft drinks. After Danny bought the two tickets the Dead Pool movie started at 8:30 p. m. and was over at 10:30 p. m. but we sat our chosen seats at 7:30 p. m. The movie theatre showed nothing but commercials and movie previews for (one hour) until 8:30 p. m. when the Dead Pool Movie started. We both had to watch a lot of commercials advertising their Refreshments like Popcorn, Soft Drinks, Ice Cream, and Candy. We also watched a lot of Movie Previews on upcoming movies that were going to be showing in on August 23 through September of 2024. Like the Horizon, Harold and the Purple Crayon, Twister with Helen Hunt in it, and there are 2 Horror movies out now. I don't remember the names of these 2 movies that will be showing. Danny and I decided to see this movie called Dead Pool. This movie had this one actor his name is Hugh Jackman and there were other good actors in this movie. Dead Pool is an Action Packed Movie filled with a lot of violence and a lot of these scenes are really bloody that shows scenes of this Wolverine person (Hugh Jackman) the actor and his partner an Action Hero who are frequently killing and stabbing their enemies during the whole movie. The movie Dead Pool is the number 1 most popular movie that is advertised right now in the Regal Cinemas Mission Marketplace Theatre. This Dead Pool movie I believed also has a good storyline and was like a science fiction type theme to it. We both were on the edge of our seats watching this Dead Pool movie because it has a lot of Action and great acting throughout this whole movie. We both enjoyed watching Dead Pool on the HUGE SCREEN. This Dead Pool movie was crowded in the theatre and packed with mostly younger and older people who were couples. Danny and I are good friends. Danny and I had already eaten our dinner at a restaurant that was located near by this theatre. Danny didn't buy any snacks. But I did buy one package of the M & M's Plain Chocolate Candies. Their refreshments and their candy is very expensive. The price I paid was $6.40. These 2 movie tickets that Danny and I split the bill on were also very expensive to go watch a movie at this Regal Mission Marketplace Theatre. I have not watched a movie at the Mission Marketplace Theatre since last year in 2023. Danny had 2 Gift Cards he used for the payment method. One gift card was $15.00 and the second gift card was $10.00. the total Gift Card amount was $25.00. I paid the difference and my share was $15.00. The price for 2 tickets were $33.00. The ticket price was $13.00 per person. Last year the prices were $8.00 per person. The prices have increased by $5.00. The cost for us last night was about $40.00 with one package of candy. We both had an enjoyable time watching the movie Dead Pool because this movie was Action Packed and this Dead Pool movie also has great acting! The Regal Cinemas Mission Market Place Theatre was recently renovated with the bright orange and black decor. The orange and black decor in their lobby really stands out and it looks really good in this theatre. This theatre was very clean and organized. The guy who was working at the ticket front counter was very friendly and helpful in giving us suggestions in choosing our specific seats. read more

Didn't grab any pictures. Loads of parking available. For a movie theater, it's kind of quiet for a Friday night. The seats are new. We bought our tickets online. Once you enter, you can buy food on the right, and there is a bar to the left. The drinks are provided in plastic cups. But they are not bad. You can order a variety of snacks and hot food. They take a little while to bring out the hot food. I got chicken tenders and my hubby bought popcorn and a hotdog. Chicken tenders took a long long wait. But they were hot and fresh. I have to say they were surprisingly good. Movie was good. Seats were new and comfortably. Great place to be to watch movies. One star docked for not checking their toilets. Patrons left it unflushed and nobody checked and refreshed the toilets. read more

I used to come here when it was the discount movies before Regal took over. I went back for the 1st time last week to see King of Kings with my daughter. The new theater is beautiful and very well done, but I was really disappointed by the theater seats. They are not true recliners with the foot rests, only the back of the seat reclines which was very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this theater if that's what you're hoping for. Only reason I gave it a 4 stars is because I like recliner seats and this location often with the movies I want to watch, the showtimes are in the rooms that don't have recliners. What a great little theater! I can't believe that some people have rated this place so low. Maybe they just had a vastly different experience than I did. It's not a huge theater, but it's big enough and maybe even more importantly, they actually have parking. The theater itself is in good shape, The lobby seems clean, the restrooms seem clean. All of the staff that I've ever interacted with have been friendly. I will say, it isn't the easiest theater to get to. It's located behind a shopping center and the road to get to it is a little easy to miss. But I think that that's a small thing especially when you consider the ample parking available at the theater and the quality of the theater itself. read more

I went to this theater the other day and was very skeptical based on the mixed reviews and the elevator entrance I needed to get to the theater. I wasn't aware that there was another parking area for the actual theater, which was away from the other shops in the plaza. Once in the theater the staff were really friendly, the theater itself has been remodeled and looked really good. First time at Regal, it was empty. We came first showing on a weekday and only workers we seen were at the food area. We walked around trying to figure out how to buy our tickets. Thankfully another couple were looking for the same thing and together we asked ppl coming in, another couple showed us lol. It's a self serve kiosks like Redbox style, select your movie and show time and swipe your card. During the movie two workers did a walk through, was distracting but I get that it's necessary. Wasn't the cleanest but wasn't dirty. We got the cheaper tickets so no reclining, but seats were fine. Kids had a ball! Mario bros was fantastic! Great job! Will watch again but maybe in 4D or with recliner chairs. Popcorn will set you back $9 for the smallest. Goodness concessions is what will break the wallet. But the excitement for our youngest to get movie popcorn and see his Mario bros on the big screen, that's more than worth it. Family fun. read more

I currently work at a theatre and I've started coming here more often because I'm so blown away with how everything is here, makes me jealous almost haha. I came here last night with my girlfriend for a movie date and we were late to the showing but the kid at the counter was so cool and helpful I forget his name but he was wearing glasses, along with the other workers there. Got a refund and said it'd take around 5-7 days but got it the next morning. Theatre was good the food and snack selection is amazing and the bar is super nice and everyone who's helped me get a drink have been nothing but nice. Bathrooms were so nice and clean too compared to my crappy theatre that I work in. Gonna be coming here a lot more now. I rarely give yelp reviews but I think this one is worth the typing read more

I met my son and nephew here for a boys-night-out movie. We came early to have a couple of drinks at their in-house bar. We nestled up to the bar, where they offered beers and mixed drinks. The lone "bartender" was serving x3 other people ahead of us. I refer to him as the "bartender" because we knew fairly quickly he was just the poor sap employee delegated the duty. The mixed drinks, the ones advertised on their revolving digital menu board, that the ladies ahead of us had ordered needed to be concocted by the flip chart he had available. Everything was precisely measured out, so we knew no heavy pours coming anyone's way (oh well). And... he was not quick either. It was finally our turn and we opted for beers, each ordering a different beer. We opted to put it on one bill so as to expedite the transaction. ALL three of our beers were FLAT as pancakes; no co2 = no carbonation, let alone a head of any kind. He did not know this, thus being thrown into the "bartender" slot for the evening. We informed him of this problem and were offered beers from "the other taps, on the other side" so we opted for that. If there was any co2 on that side then it was minimal at best. We said screw it, it was an IPA with a higher Alc% and downed it quickly. We then ordered their version of a Long Island Ice Tea. Although it took another 10-15 minutes we received those, and they were decent enough. Before and during our seating at the bar we watched the poor bastard have to run into the back to put ice in the cups for the mixed drinks he was making for us and others. NOBODY thought to bring him out an ice tray to make his life a little easier! The manager, or who we presumed was the manager, swung by at least 3 times to tell him something and disappeared, not once having a thought about ice; let alone assisting him getting caught up with the orders. WTH? Anyhow, as for the actual theater in which we saw our movie, the popcorn and seating were fine. The seats do NOT recline all the way (no leg lifting straight out), so if that's a game changer be forewarned. As for the movie itself - the screen and sound system were also fine, with no complaints. TLDR: If you want an alcoholic drink watch the "bartender" for a few minutes to verify his/her competency at performing the duties; make sure the beer tabs have co2 in the kegs; the popcorn was tasty; the seats do not recline all the way; but the screen and sound system were A-OK. read more

My husband and I took our son to see the Minecraft movie. As expected the theatre was mostly young families and young tweens without parents. Through out the movie two tween boys sitting behind us were throwing popcorn and acting like punks. The first time I turned around but did not say anything, they continued throwing popcorn and I once again turned around and looked right them thinking they would stop. About 20 minutes later they threw an entire bucket of popcorn up and it landed on myself and my son. They tried to duck and ignore me when I asked them to apologize. I then proceeded to go look for manager and asked for them to escort them out as I was now covered in popcorn, the food we bought now had popcorn all over it and we were basically sitting in a pile of popcorn. The manager showed up about 10 minutes later and told the boys to stop and if they did it again they would have to leave. We finished watching the movie and after we approached the manager and requested a refund as it cost us $48 just to watch the movie and an other $18 for food. She told us since we stayed and watched the movie she could not offer us a refund, and if we wanted a refund for our food we needed to have our receipt and we needed to wait in line. I worked in customer service for years and know this is not how your treat customers. After continuing to to ask for more senior management they finally agreed to refund us, but continued making it extremely difficult for us as if they were hoping we would give up and leave. I also questioned why they did not ask the boys to leave and they told me because they are kids and they didn't have parents with them. What!!!! So they get to disrespect families around them and sit through the movie and be punks??? We don't go to the movie often, maybe twice a year because it is so expensive. Sad we had this experience, most likely won't go back to this theatre. read more

When we saw that Regal offers $5 tickets on Tuesdays we decided to check out Lightyear after I got off work. We haven't been to this theater since they changed it to the assigned seats. The seats are the nicer, plush chairs but don't recline as far as the Carlsbad Regal (but I guess that's why these tickets were $5/person and Carlsbad is $7/person either the Tuesday deal). I don't know that I love having to buy tickets at the confession stand (not sure if it's due to staffing issues or because they want you to buy food), because it tends to make the wait a lot longer, but with the economy as it is, we are fine waiting a few extra minutes to save money on tickets. read more

Sold me catamaran for Moana two and didn't give me the figuring, came back on the bus an hour to talk to the manager about just getting the figurine. explained, and was met with a large amount of hostility. Explained my situation and time on bus there and back. " that's not how retail works and I don't know your life"! While slapping her hands.
