Great for The Meg. Really enjoyed the movie and the facility. It was a lot of fun with the Q-94 staff.

For being the main cinema in a highly populated and wealthy area, this cinema is understaffed at both the box office and the concession stand. At 7:00 pm on a Wednesday, they only had one ticket window open and, at most, two concession windows open. The lines were very long and no attempt was made to open additional windows to accommodate the crowd. In the future, I will be making the drive to Commonwealth 20 in Midlothian. read more

I always pick this location when it comes to movie date. It's cleaner, better atmosphere, and every time I needed help with points or to talk to a manager, I get great customer service. The biggest downfall I have is the ticket booth being outside.... like what is that, it's cold... no. read more

On a positive note, while the popcorn is ridiculously overpriced...you get free refills. That's a first for me. Not that you're going to need a refill on a tub of popcorn but it's the thought that counts. Theater seating is good...but since you get theater seating everywhere now, it's not special or additive. We purchased our seats in advance, so we didn't have to wait in line, but felt sorry for the people who stood there waiting in the squalor for a half hour for the ticket line to open...which it did around 5-10 minutes after the posted opening time. There were leaves and trash everywhere...and the neglect was not limited to outside. When the on duty manager finally unlocked the doors...it was pretty clear he resented us, his job, and the world. No niceties we're observed...no hellos...not by the manager, nor the guy who took our tickets. Pretty sure we pissed him off just by breathing. This place is a depressing pit. It's a pretty typical theater. The food is expensive, the floors are a little sticky, and there will always be some obnoxious person talking during the movie. Made the mistake of going to a late showing of a movie on opening night, so there were tons of people there. Luckily, we were there early so we got decent seats. read more

Horrible service! When you get to a movie 45 minutes early, you should be able to get popcorn and drinks before your movie starts.

So as a parent my son is 16 year old and wanted to see a rated r movie. Now I didn't want to watch the movie so I was going to buy the ticket and leave. But for some reason they needed to id my son also. So basically he couldn't watch the movie unless I was there. He has gone to rated r movies before with no problem with me buying the ticket. So I on top of that I went out in and the whole theater is empty, they ticket booth is pushed into the food part. The food is stall, the seats smell weird, and on top of that the workers are rude. I do not recommend anybody to come there. And I recommend them fire clear that out and change it to anything but what it is. Went back to Regal Cinemas Short Pump 14 last night for the pre-screening of The Legend of Tarzan (great movie, btw) and the experience was definitely not as smooth as it was with the pre-screening of The Conjuring 2. The crowd was a lot bigger, and a lot rowdier than before, and the cinema staff, a lot less patient than I remember. From, who I presumed to be the Manager walking around threatening (and embarrassing) people with expulsion from the theater (on multiple occasions) to people getting into all out verbal brawls over seating or lack thereof, it was definitely an interesting experience. Did I mention that a slushee and small popcorn came to $13.00 (weep), but overall, the movie, which is what I was there for, made the experience a good one; and although some of the staff (and attendees) left a bit to be desired - I had a nice time, and let's not forget...IT WAS FREE - I would definitely return to this theater. We have always dealt with the hassle of lack of parking, long and slow concession lines and lack of cleanliness regarding this theater because it is the closest to us. The new policy of assigned seating however has tipped us over to never returning to this theater. We will go 5 minutes down the street to West Tower, where there is plenty of seating options, no one is fighting over them and you can view a movie in silence and peace. read more

Went to see creed with my wife which was a great movie as I am a huge fan of the rocky series. This location is majorly understaffed and very disorganized also not a clean location due to that fact. We ended up watching Pete's Dragon, which is a super cute movie and we could have enjoyed it way more if the cinema hall people had remembered to switch the lights off in our hall!!! This cinema is often dirty and smelly and needs renovated. It's been there about 20 years now and needs new fixtures, flooring, decor, etc. even the exterior sign is faded and dated. Now I know why I always go to cinebistro. Out of large waters and would not give me a cup of ice. The service is slow and lousy. Only came here because it wasn't playing at CinéBistro. Never again. Also the place had trash everywhere and was gross. When we went to the ticket taker with a mobile ticket he didn't have a scanner so he just said I don't have a scanner. Actually really like this theater but opening night of avengers infinity war attracted some very ignorant people. A whole row of immature people behind us talking and making a ruckus through the entire movie. At one point they flipped their nasty vaseline filled dreads onto us while sobbing about a scene in the movie. I went to Regal Cinemas Shortpump Stadium 14 over the weekend to see the movie TED. On weekends, this movie theater is usually very packed. Coming early is smart because the lines getting your ticket can become really long. So arriving really early or purchasing your tickets before time is smart to avoid the wait. Regal Cinemas Shortpump Stadium 14 is probably one or the most expensive movie theater in the Richmond area. You cannot use your student ID discount. The movie theater is usually clean. The seats are very comfortable. The atmosphere is usually very loud as you get your tickets and popcorn. A lot of teenager's hangout at Regal Cinemas Shortpump Stadium 14. On opening night of movies, if you don't arrive at a reasonable time, it's hard to get a good seat. The parking is a hassle on weekends. If two or more people are going to the movies on a weekend or opening night. The smart thing to do is drop one person off to get in the ticket line, while the driver finds parking. There are a couple of restaurants and Sweet Frog located right next to the movie theater. These restaurants come in handy if you don't want movie theater food. Went to watch a movie with my family. Fire alarm went off. There was a faint recording saying fire please exit but the movie was so loud I could hardly hear it. I didn't see exit signs. There was a flashing light next to the screen and we had no idea it wasn't part of it. We tried to leave and the usher told us to go back in and everything was ok. The alarm was still going off. They also said that during 9/11 with the twin towers. This building is only up to 1996 code and is grandfathered in. I would be very cautious and know your exits in this dangerous facility. I go to this theatre quite often for convenience. It isn't bad. My only thing is I paid for a 3-D movie for the first time and thought I would be in a theatre room with the really big and very nice seats but I was not. They only gave me the 3-D glasses. To me, the extra money wasn't worth it. Before purchasing the 3-D movie, I asked the ticket lady about the difference between this 3-D and a regular movie and she did not provide much information. They ought to train their staff better. Also, when waiting in line for concession line for food, there were too many idle workers around for the long line that they had. I will consider making the extra trip to Bow-Tie as it is WAAYY better than this place. read more

When in Short Pump, you find yourself scrambling to find things to do at Short Pump. Seriously though, I live downtown and usually go to Short Pump for the mall. On occasion, I will also want to go eat somewhere in Short Pump and my fiancé likes for us to have an activity when we do this so that we aren't just making the trip for food. This is where the movie theater comes into play. I feel that everyone essentially does the same thing we do, "Wanna go to Short Pump Friday night and eat somewhere?" "Sure." "Maybe we can go the movies too." Is this convenient? Sure thing. However, parking is not convenient. In fact, it is the absolute worst. We likely circle the lot and adjacent lots 20 times before someone finally pulls out of a space behind Burger King. Then, there are the lines. I am not quite sure why the lines are horrible to get tickets. The credit card kiosk inside is never busy unless it is a premiere night. Seriously people, use the kiosk if paying with card...or don't use the kiosk, leave it open for me. ;) Concession lines are equally just as long and pretty unorganized. I do not know where the lines begin and end and neither do other people because we are all dancing around the lines waiting for someone to say, "I can help someone." Theaters are usually clean and chairs are pretty comfy. I admit I do not pay attention to sound and picture quality, so you will have to take someone else's word on those things, but neither have ever been a problem for me.
