I think just about the only thing STILL good about this theater are the reclining chairs. Their pizza is SHIT, sorry for the language. But like a gritty cheese, not that I should've expected any better and it takes FOREVER for them to heat up stuff probably 'cause it's all frozen. Woulda been better off getting a pretzel or nachos, BUT I will say they are really branching out with their menu. They have all kinds of Pizza BBQ chicken, Buffalo and some others. What I was really looking forward to was the Twizzlers WHICH THEY NO LONGER HAVE! They took away SO many classic snacks and only have like a very tiny selected and a few ice cream selections. Popcorn is never a let down although CHEETO popcorn really? GROSS, but the movie was good and it's the movies so what else can I say. Can never go wrong at the movies! read more

I don't know if my movie-going experience has been spoiled by the luxury at my local movie theater, Emagine, but I thought Regal Indianapolis was an absolute mess of a movie theater. My family has been dying to see Wicked, but since just about every showing of Wicked at Emagine was completely sold out for this entire weekend, we had to try Regal Indianapolis instead. Let me just say, I regret not waiting for the crowds to die down at Emagine, even if it meant I couldn't see the movie this weekend. My negative experience started before I even entered the theater. The theater's parking lot was packed, so I had to park in the very back of the lot. It was extremely challenging for me to park correctly because the paint lines had completely worn off and I couldn't determine where the actual parking spaces were supposed to be. Not only is that inconvenient, it's dangerous! When we walked into the movie theater, we joined the huge, seemingly unmoving line for the concession stand. Although there were several employees present in the lobby, only one was serving customers at the concession stand, while everyone else just stood around. We waited in line for no less than 20 minutes before being served. In fact, since waiting in that line made us late for our showtime, I left and found our seats in the theater while my mom and sister waited even more. The concessions themselves left much to be desired. They were out of several candies, the popcorn was cold and slightly stale, and they only had Pepsi products (those who regularly read my reviews know that I am a Coke purist). Also, a 'small' popcorn was half the size as a 'small' popcorn at Emagine, but it cost almost the same amount! I understand that movie concessions are usually pricy, but the lackluster quality of the concessions at Regal made the outrageous price unjustifiable. Finally, what I found the most frustrating about Regal Indianapolis was that no employee checked our tickets or directed us to the correct viewing room. We easily could've walked into any movie without paying, which made me very upset considering I spent almost $50 on 3 matinee tickets. Regal Indianapolis was extremely disappointing, and I when I see Wicked Part 2 next year, you can bet I'll be going to Emagine. read more

I came here to see Eternals and the movie was great! I lucked up because this theatre was one of the last few still showing it! I would HIGHLY recommend to buy your tickets online this will save you a SUPER long wait time at the counter. As if right now tickets sales are being done at the concessions stand so you can only imagine the backup..... Here's ONE little secret, IF you are blessed to be over the age of 21 you can skip all the chaos and lines by hopping over to the bar. At the bar not only can you get a few picks of wine and beer and I believe they were selling some hard liquor in a can??? I'm not sure I saw the sign but really didn't see any in the fridge. Anyways you can get your concessions AND tickets in this line (you're welcome!). They pour a decent glass of wine as well in cute branded disposable glasses. Mi Amor and i shared a large popcorn and the people were still nice enough to fill halfway, butter it down, and then continue filling the bucket, I mean is there any other way to eat a large container??? The seats recline in this theatre as well, and maybe it's been this way for while, I'm honestly not sure I haven't been to this specific theatre in YEARS! I would def come to this theatre again and while it not my typical first choice; it definitely was nice! read more

DON'T BUY TICKETS HERE! Today for the second time in a row (first one being at Top Gun's opening) we tried going here for a movie's opening week, and for the second time in a row the manager is keeping the air conditioning OFF on a hot day. It's 89 here today and for Top Gun it was also in the 90s. Not even a fan was running; there was no air movement. The lobby is fine. The manager apparently plots to trap you inside after you've paid your money and maybe spent more on snacks. It was approximately 70 degrees in the lobby and air was definitely moving. It was over 80 in theater #10 and no air movement. Why do I say trap? Because the counter staff are trained to say they "can't give you a refund" even if you're leaving before the movie starts, they "can only give you tickets for another time." Disgusting, inappropriate and tantamount to theft, because you're not going to get what you paid for. (It wasn't just me that went out front to complain, others did as well. They offered one lady some more snacks to "comp" her.) DON'T LET THEM STEAL YOUR MONEY! read more

I saw "Godzilla Minus One Minus Color" on Saturday at Regal UA Galaxy. I live pretty close to here but had never considered it before this weekend. The only reason I did consider it was because the ticket prices were more reasonable than nearby theaters. They considered 4 pm to be a "matinee" still which I was totally okay with because it meant matinee prices! It was $10.40 per adult. I decided to sign up for their rewards program because I enjoy seeing movies in theaters and thought it might be worth it over time! When we got to the theater, it seemed to be pretty empty. We had no line at the food counter where we ordered a small popcorn. The popcorn prices everywhere are pretty outrageous, but it really hit me there how terrible paying over $9 after tax is for a small popcorn. Their profit margins must be incredibly high!! We were crazy enough to buy it anyway! The theater itself was pretty nice. It feels like it good be cleaner, but I appreciate any theater with reclining seats. I feel like in today's day in age, it's not worth seeing a movie in a theater without the cozy seats! Again, I just feel like there's a layer of grease and gunk covering the seats and the floor. A really good scrub would do them justice! read more

We just arrived to see our movie. We don't go to the movies much, but I looked forward to the evening out. I must say this place is filthy! Counters were dirty with spills, carpets are full of popcorn and garbage in the cup holders at our seats... It doesn't take much to be clean. It's also pretty warm in here which is surprising because usually theaters are cold. Hopefully I enjoy this flick. read more

It's kind of grody, to be honest. We got there when it had just opened, on a weekend, and there was a giant pool of liquid and popcorn on the floor behind the counter. Like seriously, what happened in between the ten minutes that you opened? And most importantly, why did you not clean it up? So there's that, and also, none of their soft drink machines were working. So you could buy a $5.75 bottle of water (yes, that's the price -- I wish I were exaggerating), or you could buy a $5.50 cup of slushy. Why is water more expensive than slushy? It's just one of those things about movie concessions that really piss me off, here and everywhere else, but especially here. I ordered pretzels sticks, and I had to wait 20 minutes for them because they forgot about them right after taking my order. There was one guy working the concession stand, so if you weren't ordering something he could easily grab, you were SOL. I guess that was my fault; I shouldn't have ordered something that required going into the kitchen and microwaving. No one was there to take tickets, because there were two people working. So people were just walking around with their tickets in their hand, looking around for someone to take them. And since this in Indiana, no one wanted to be the one to just WALK IN without giving SOMEONE their ticket, so a bunch of people were just standing in front of the empty ticket-taking booth, looking a little mystified. The seats here recline, though, which is nice but I feel like they don't clean them very often because they just felt unclean. There are other, nicer movie theaters around (like Flix and the Landmark at the Fashion Mall), so I don't anticipate coming here again when I can easily visit a better theater. read more

This is yet another north side movie theater that is showing its age. If all you care about is the movie theater itself, this would be a 4 star review. Theater #4 had leather seats that were very big and comfortable. The standard sound quality was fine. Booster seats were readily available. The amount of previews was a bit excessive, but the ticket for Deadpool 2 at 11am was like $2 than Castleton's showing What really brings this review down from 3 or 4 to a 2 is the lack of care on the property overall, within the building, and the lack of modern amenities that even nearby businesses and other nearby theaters have. The property itself is clearly showing its age. The walkway has several noticeable cracks and I guess management hasn't really cared enough to address it. Within the building, the men's restroom has a very distinct urine smell. Considering that this was the theater's first showing of the day, it indicates that the restroom wasn't properly cleaned the night before, or that a deep cleaning needs to be scheduled. You'll also notice just general upkeep isn't occurring. Near the men's restroom, wallpaper is either chipped or peeling off. Finally, bicycle parking was not available. I had to go to the adjacent Kohl's to properly park my bike. The price point is good, but I'd also like to support a theater that properly maintains their property. This won't be high on my list to re-visit. read more

I've visited this theater many times over the past several years and the last few times have started to show some signs of decline. Overall this theater has been my go-to because it's not as busy as others and they do have some cool recliner seats! As more and more theaters are transitioning to this recliner seats/reserved seating model however this is not as big of a pro. The seats themselves are looking a little worn down and sometimes they have an odor.... my seat last time smelled like really foul body odor. I visited on a weeknight, and there were only a few people working, as expected. One problem I had was the the signs on each of the theaters were not updated to the correct movie and did not match the ticket... which was very confusing as I was not exactly sure what movie I was seeing. Ticket taker did not seem phased by this and was busy looking at their phone. As for the food.... VERY EXPENSIVE. A medium drink was over $6. I give Regal some extra points because they do have a great reward program. Popcorn was okay, not very warm but still nice and crunchy. I used to come here all the time because I am a Movie Pass user, but now as they don't really accept the major movies here for movie pass I'm finding it harder to find reasons to come back. read more

If I could give a half star I would. Avoid this theatre at all costs. This place is Extremely dirty and tan by an incompetent staff. I came here on a Monday and they had no food available after 9pm . The only thing they had was old dusty ass candy and cold ass popcorn (no seasonings available either) I think everyone should rally to get this dump shut down. Sound quality went out in and out of the film . Excuse my language but please be mindful that you could possibly break your neck from slipping on all the damn piss on their bathrooms floor. Admittedly, this theater is the closest to our home but we always opted to go elsewhere for movies as the UA Galaxy was not all that... until now. WOW! They are in the process of remodeling this theater and have added spacious electric leather recliners for seating! While this cuts down on the number of seats available, it makes the movie watching experience all that more enjoyable and comfortable. Our whole family could not stop talking about how awesome and comfy we were for the duration of the movie. Even reclined all the way back, you could easily see over the person in front of you -- no more looking around the head of the tall dude in front of you or having the back of your seat kicked by an annoying kid for the whole movie. Oh, I am a fan of this theater! Big roomy chairs that recline ALL the way back! Now they have a small bar area out front for your adult beverage enjoyment (1 drink per 1 ID). I frequently find the front box offices aren't used much if at all so you have to go to the concessions to buy tickets. Note: buy them online or go early so you have plenty of time to wait in line. Seats are reserved so you get to pick your spot when you buy your ticket. This matters! I recently saw one lady move 4 times...I don't understand how that happens after you have to move the first time. The theaters I was recently in are pretty small, but the movie had been out for a while so they may have larger theaters for some of the newer releases. I'm sure I'll be back! read more

The whole facility was nasty to the popcorn and food all over the floors when you walked in to the napkin bar being disgusting and the worse was the bathrooms. Looking behind the corner I really DO NOT believe that it pass health codes. They were giving out uncooked hotdogs, burnt/ frozen pretzels and burnt popcorn!! When I lived on the east side, this was our theater of choice. We moved away from Indiana and when we came back, I was excited to hear that this cinema got an update. What an update it got! I love that you can book online (it was super easy with fandango.com) and reserve your seats. When going to a movie with little kids, it is great to be able to get there a few minutes before the lights go out and know that you'll have seats. I was confused that the seats online was not the front seats. So, know that when you are selecting the seats, the seats in the front online are not the ones right in front of the screen. The seats way down in front are not able to be reserved (at least that was the case for the movie we went to see.) Additionally, they have a great picture, great sound system, and a clean theater. The theater we were in was pretty small, seats about 80. The reclining chairs were nice but the size of the screen was small and quality of the picture not that great. It's a great place to go to avoid crowds but if you're picky about picture quality not the best choice. read more

Located just off of highway 69 it's located amongst a bunch of large chain stores, I've driven past it several times but never had a reason to go until I needed to see a late showing of a quiet place, I was impressed! It's a large theater with several different screens. I'll admit I'm not big into purchasing food at theaters but if I was this would be a place to do it! Lots of options, pizza, hot dogs, nachos, pop.. and a ton of candy.. there's also this crazy machine that has different flavored powders that you can combine for a sugar spike! Noticed a separate party room for kiddos, that is spacious and has video games. What kid wouldn't love that? The actual theaters are great! As a Regal member I almost exclusively go to Regal theaters, but the one on 96th is so poorly managed it makes it hard. They always seem understaffed or at least poorly scheduled. You have 40 people in line and 3 people working concessions at the registers furthest away from the popcorn machine making every popcorn order take longer than it should. Meanwhile you have 3 people standing at the ticket taker station before you go back to theater, 2 of which are just standing doing nothing. I get that you don't always know when you will be busy, but this is the third time I have witnessed this and I'm not sure I would come back to deal with the unnecessary lines and non upgraded seats. This theatre is just basic. The chairs recline but not super comfortable. The staff working the counter is unorganized and they don't have enough people working. Get there early to wait inline to get popcorn before your movie or you will miss the first few minutes due to the long wait. read more

I'm so happy to be able to see movies in the theaters again. I have a monthly unlimited movie membership with Regal. The Carmel Regal is the most convenient for me; only about a 5 minute drive. However, it is old & tired. I really hoped they would undergo the promised renovations while closed due to Covid. Because it is convenient I have seen the majority of movies there. Regal UA Galaxy was renovated prior to Covid. It takes me 20-30 minutes to get there; I really wish it was closer. The theater is the most comfortable of any theater I've been to and that includes Flix. The seats are extremely comfortable and there is ample space between rows. Both Regal's are short on staff and the line (often only one) to purchase tickets and concessions is typically very long during the most popular movies times like evenings and weekends. There is no longer a mask requirement however several people continue to wear them. read more

Last time I was here, in late August 2017, the theater smelled like pee. There were industrial fans blowing in the main hallways, so maybe some giant monster actually did spray the whole theater? There was no sound in my theater through the first few previews until I notified an employee. Employees walk through the theater repeatedly throughout the movie with a light. I assume this is corporate policy, but it's distracting and don't see it elsewhere. Concessions are ridiculous. $5+ for a small drink. The seats are nice if that's your main priority. read more

The movie theatre's customer service was so horrible. We made a request on the screen having open caption for the Deaf community and asked it twice. The person named Kayla there confirmed. Then, we arrived, there was no open captioning at all. We were upset and talked to the manager and she said she did not know how to add captioning on screen. She said she was new. It's unfair to us and it's discrimination. Their customer service was not good and I'd not recommend them when it comes to accessibility. read more

The theater is generally very well kept, clean and comfortable. And of course, the reclining seats are the best -- unless you are in a boring movie and really tired and fall asleep :-) I find that we enjoy going to the movies more when there are good reclining seats to sit in which are pretty much extremely comfortable. It helps make the movie-going experience worthwhile. Nowadays people are much more inclined to stay at home to watch netflix but I often prefer seeing movies on the big screen ... there is more audience reaction to enhance it (when appropriate) and the big screen helps me get carried away into the story. This theater does a good brisk business and has quick helpful ticketing, and I've personally not had issues with the concessions either. Never waited too long and they are helpful people. Once a manager could see that I just needed a quick "refill" and he took care of me right away. read more

If you were to blindfold me and take me to this theater, def would've thought I was at movies 8 on the Eastside. Didn't know we had a hood in Fishers!?! Man is that a experience I'll never forget. My hot dog bun was a brick and when I mentioned, "I would ask for more butter but you seem super busy" her reply, "hehehehehe.. like yeah we are so...." wtf? I return my doggies and she said, "would you like me to get a manger to give you your money back" I was thinking, isn't that protocol? But I said, "just new doggies please." The restroom looked like a combination of a elderly people's home where they just drop poo wherever and a rave. No soap but one sink. Can't say I've even experienced this at movies 8 which was like 15 years ago but wow!. Highly not recommend. read more

I must admit that I rarely go to the movies anymore, but joined some friends over the holiday to get the kiddos out of the house. There was no line at the concession stand, and while the lack of ice would normally be a bad thing, they kindly replaced our drinks with Icees and got zero complaints. My tickets were purchased on Fandango, who had assigned seating, so there was some confusion when we went to our seats and someone was sitting there. Staff was able to handle it no problem (she was in the wrong seat) well before the previews began. I was a little shocked at the seating. Recliners, what?! It would seem they're bottom line would take a hit, but I was happy to oblige and get comfy. It was the most spacious movie experience I'd ever had, so much so, that my daughter was so far away with only four people between us. Thankfully they had trays for sharing the popcorn. Will I go to the movies more often? I'm not sure, but I do know that I'll come back here when I decide to. read more

I am so extremely disappointed in my families experience here this evening. Our movie started at 7:15p and we arrived over 30 minutes early. There were 4 lines all backed up to the door and they moved so slow we waited over a half hour. They also refused to give me an extra bag for my kids to share popcorn and to top it off I bought a glass of wine and they charged me $10 for this very very small glass. I could get triple this at Flix for less than that. I overheard someone else stating they would never come here again. We will not either. I spent $50 for 4 tickets, $30 on food and $10 on this glass of wine. Never again. read more

Just go there for the seats. Their chairs are the most comfortable chairs in which I have sat in a movie theater. They're leather and they're large so there is plenty of room between you and your neighbors. When you buy your ticket, you can view a seating chart and pick the seat in the theater where you want to sit. It's usually not crowded, which I appreciate. I wish they would display the sizes of the popcorn bags and drink cups so you know in advance how much (or how little) you are buying. The staff is very friendly and they keep the place clean. I ventured into the United Artists Galaxy Theatre this evening for another promo screening and was pleasantly surprised to see some significant improvements including the addition of new lounge seating that offers wider seating, ample leg room, and the seats recline. Really! While the seating options for wheelchairs haven't changed massively, they are definitely improved and far more geared toward integration rather than isolation due to how they're situated. As someone who utilizes this seating, I worried that sitting in a level area might make it more difficult to see. Fortunately, that wasn't the case as the stadium seating is designed quite nicely. The curtains in the auditorium are also new and, overall, you can tell that they've massively improved this theater that was ahead of its time in 1997 but had really declined in recent years. For the most part, all the theatres are of the same design, though it's my understanding that three actually have a different design. If you've avoided this theater for awhile, you'll be pleasantly surprised if you venture back. It's my understanding there'd been some discussion of IMAX, but the ceilings in the theaters are too long to really accomplish it. The theater does still have a bit of a retro feeling to it, but I can still definitely say that one of my least favorite theaters in Indianapolis has now become one I'll look forward to revisiting. I can't quite convince myself to take the theatre up to a 4-star rating, though 3 1/2 would be reasonable. The staff was friendly, the audio quality was just fine but, more than anything, the significantly improved auditoriums make the moviegoing experience a relaxing and comfortable experience. read more
