The lounge for drinks 21+ only

Love this theater set up with the Indie Lounge to discuss movies afterwards. Being inside the Keystone Fashion Mall mall is an added benefit.

Decided to hit up the movie theater while in Indy. I can see myself coming back to either Keystone cinema or one of the other Landmark cinemas because I personally dont have a theater near me that does foriegn films. I didn't see one this time because non of the times worked with my schedule, but Parasite looked really good. I ended up going to see Greed I enjoyed. I got there in time for matinee pricing and since I needed no food or drink I only paid $8.50. Their prices are on the higher end for everything. They are very reminiscent of my local Celebration Cinema. This is more of a theater where it's a real special treat to go to. They have an adult lounge too where u can get alcohol and the chairs are so comfy. I was able to enjoy my movie in a relaxed setting and since I went to a matinee, there were only 3 other people in the theater. It was so nice to be able to just relax in a comfy chair and the option to get a drink if I felt like it. Prices aren't low, but I could see myself coming once a month if I lived in the area simply for the foriegn movies. So glad I chose to check them out.

We came here to see Knives Out (one of the best movies I've seen in a long time) and this theatre was even better than I remembered. Why does it rock, you ask?! Here's five reasons: 1) It's always less crowded than other theatres and therefore cleaner than most. 2) They have the best snacks. I love that you can get a small popcorn and it's freshly-popped. They also have Broad Ripple Chips, interesting candy, and a few other local and interesting options. 3) They have an adult 'lounge' where you can snag a beer or wine to bring into the theatre with you. 4) You might think parking is difficult because this theatre is located in a mall, but no, it's not. You can park right outside, take the escalator up, and BOOM - you're there. 5) Want to eat dinner beforehand? Nordstrom Cafe is delicious and also secluded and usually calm. Located just a few yards from the theatre (you don't even have to go outside in between), you can get an incredible salad (my favorite ever), flatbread, famous tomato soup, etc. Now kick back and enjoy!

Keystone art cinema is located within keystone crossing fashion mall. I wanted to see a movie but not if it was crowded. This was the perfect venue bc it allowed me to shop until close to the start time. I was able to check right bf it started and see it was less than 25% full for my movie, West Side Story. With it being in the mall, you can park in the garage by Nordstrom. Nice when it's inclement weather.

I hate to give bad reviews; however my entire experience from the moment we walked in till the moment we left was a less than pleasurable experience. We went for the evening showing of 'Where'd you go Bernadette?' I was thrilled to check the Keystone Arts Cinema out. Perhaps, because it was located in the Fashion Mall my expectations were too high? We walked in and not a single person greeted us. There were thee younger women leaning on a podium near the theatre hallway and a gentleman and another women behind the snack bar. We were directed to get tickets at the machine near the entrance on a stand. We got our tickets and headed to get some snacks. The sign read "Always Fresh Popped" - I was thrilled I LOVE popcorn and since the days of popping all the popcorn prior and hauling it into giant black bags to be poured back in and reheated in the popcorn machine - I rarely get it. So we most definately were getting it this time. They offer to butter it for you. They also have frittle (a local company) so I was thrilled. They did have coffee but it was Starbucks duh duh duh :(. My partner got a coffee. The guy gave us our popcorn and completely walked away and never got us our drinks - finally I waved someone else down to get them. Maybe he was heading out - end of his shift - who knows. The lady whom took our tickets was fine. Robotic in her response. Theatre 7 on the right. We went in to scope our our seats. And I was... appalled. Not only are the seats old - they're very dirty - see pictures. I'm sure they've never been cleaned. Other patrons stray hairs, animal lint, makeup, grease, and whom knows what else covered every seat. I felt the creepy crawlies all over - I couldn't get comfortable. Then the popcorn... NOT FRESH POPPED. cold stale crumblies like bottom of the bag. No salt. Did I say stale. We ate maybe 3 handfuls and were over it. I went to go ask a manager for a replacement he was talking to another patron and then stomped away - "like I care". So I didnt bother. Movie was great I highly reccomend it just not the theatre.

A nice theater with more independent films. I like how they have good quality snacks however; their seats were dusty and not the best of quality (might just be aged). Popcorn was good but not the best price (small was $7). Movie theater was easy to find in the mall; second floor which there are escalators, elevator, and stairs available. They also have military, senior, and child discounts.

One of the lounge areas at the theatre. It's by a giant glass window; you can sit and watch people bustling below.

We were assisted by Ash at the counter. My app was giving me a hard time and she was very patient. The theater was very clean.

Never crowded, but a little run down. Not the level of luxury you'd expect at the Fashion Mall.

I love this place. The rich fools don't like arthouse cinema, so the theaters are almost never packed during the week

Ask the Community - Landmark Keystone Art Cinema

Does the bar still serve hot appetizers?

Is the seating general admission? I'm trying to buy advance tickets and it is odd that I can't pick my seats for it.

    Yes, seating is general admission.

If you want to see a non-mainstream movie in Indy, you will have to come here, but that's not by any means a bad thing.

But like a gritty cheese, not that I should've expected any better and it takes FOREVER for them to heat up stuff probably 'cause it's all frozen. Woulda been better off getting a pretzel or nachos, BUT I will say they are really branching out with their menu. They have all kinds of Pizza BBQ chicken, Buffalo and some others. What I was really looking forward to was the Twizzlers WHICH THEY NO LONGER HAVE! They took away SO many classic snacks and only have like a very tiny selected and a few ice cream selections. Popcorn is never a let down although CHEETO popcorn really? GROSS, but the movie was good and it's the movies so what else can I say. Can never go wrong at the movies!

I don't know if my movie-going experience has been spoiled by the luxury at my local movie theater,…read moreEmagine, but I thought Regal Indianapolis was an absolute mess of a movie theater. My family has been dying to see Wicked, but since just about every showing of Wicked at Emagine was completely sold out for this entire weekend, we had to try Regal Indianapolis instead. Let me just say, I regret not waiting for the crowds to die down at Emagine, even if it meant I couldn't see the movie this weekend. My negative experience started before I even entered the theater. The theater's parking lot was packed, so I had to park in the very back of the lot. It was extremely challenging for me to park correctly because the paint lines had completely worn off and I couldn't determine where the actual parking spaces were supposed to be. Not only is that inconvenient, it's dangerous! When we walked into the movie theater, we joined the huge, seemingly unmoving line for the concession stand. Although there were several employees present in the lobby, only one was serving customers at the concession stand, while everyone else just stood around. We waited in line for no less than 20 minutes before being served. In fact, since waiting in that line made us late for our showtime, I left and found our seats in the theater while my mom and sister waited even more. The concessions themselves left much to be desired. They were out of several candies, the popcorn was cold and slightly stale, and they only had Pepsi products (those who regularly read my reviews know that I am a Coke purist). Also, a 'small' popcorn was half the size as a 'small' popcorn at Emagine, but it cost almost the same amount! I understand that movie concessions are usually pricy, but the lackluster quality of the concessions at Regal made the outrageous price unjustifiable. Finally, what I found the most frustrating about Regal Indianapolis was that no employee checked our tickets or directed us to the correct viewing room. We easily could've walked into any movie without paying, which made me very upset considering I spent almost $50 on 3 matinee tickets. Regal Indianapolis was extremely disappointing, and I when I see Wicked Part 2 next year, you can bet I'll be going to Emagine.
