Yeah, it's OK. Seats are comfortable and the screen is easy to see from everywhere, and they had the limited-release movie I was dying to see (Disconnect). I thought it was strange that the security guard asked, "Can I help you?" when I walked in (what was I supposed to say to that--"Umm, I'm here to see a movie?"). I don't know, maybe I looked like trouble or something. I don't see why there's a parking lot that validates for shopping but not for the theater, but you still have to pay for parking in the theater. 1) Reserved Seats - you can pay on-line if it is a really popular movie, without making the drive, standing in line and HOPING you get a decent seat, That in itself is worth surcharge if you are a true movie goer like I am. To avoid the surcharge you can go earlier in the day and purchase the tickets at the theater. I live close by, so this is a reasonable option for me. Plus, I like to see movies the weekend they come out, before all the 'reviewers' pick apart the story, and give away all the details. 2) Reserved RECLINER seats -- feel like I am sitting in a home theater. There is definitely enough room between you and other patrons so you won't be disturbed, unless they are the truly rude ones that talk or text during the movies. That's usually the Friday/Saturday night crowd at any theater you may go to. 3) Reserved RECLINER seats at a reasonable price -- paid less than ten bucks to enjoy a movie in a big chair on a HUGE screen. Each theater is very clean. Can't imagine anyone having a problem purchasing a RESERVED ticket, thereby alleviating the problem of wondering if you will be able to find the seats that you LIKE, for you and your companion. Forget all the games, bars, and food service that other theaters use to try to get patrons. I stay home to play games, I go to bars if I want a drink, and a restaurant if I'm looking for a good meal. I go to the movie theater to WATCH a good movie on a BIG screen in a BIG chair. Done, done and done. read more

Quit complaining and sneak your stuff in, I put bottled water in my pants, I put Thin Mints in my socks, and I smuggle it all in without anyone raising an eyebrow because I am slick like that. Favorite theater in Chicago. First off, ALL of the chairs in this theater recline all the way back, have fold out tray carriers and are leather. Seriously, this theater makes you feel like you're at home in your lazyboy. It is so nice. As it's a movie theater, you never has much interaction with the staff but I've never had any complaints. Their candy selection and beverage selection leaves a little to be desired but there's always walgreeens! Also, there's a barnes and noble next door for pre or post movie browsing. Only complaint is the parking. It's always a pain to leave and I can never get out of the parking garage without a huge ordeal. read more

I don't go to the movies often. BUT I WENT TO SEE EXODUS AND IT WAS DOPE AF. The movie theater has online ordering via fandango which i used cause girl had gift certificates she wanted to use for christmas. We picked our seats out which is always annoying to me however the seats are the bomb! Recline options and little tray tables for your snacks and phone and goodies. This is a quality theatre choice... when debating what theatre to go to without trekking downtown I prefer this one over the theatre on Western/Diversey. Easy to park for pretty cheap, decent snack stand, & those lovely reclining seats. I feel like the depressing part of Wall-E when I sit in those, however... my boyfriend joked that, now all we need is a butter dispenser & a coke machine refill gun built-in to the seats, so we can fully be the fat slobs that Wall-E says we are becoming. My lone complaint is that, if you don't buy tickets in advance, it's almost impossible to get into a movie here (we've missed out three times now!). I get discounted tickets from my work, but you have to redeem the coupons in-person, otherwise I'd always buy online in advance. This is how I end up seeing ridic movies like Hot Tub Time Machine 2 (for reals, you parents that took your kids to this!? wtf?), b/c what we wanted to see was already sold out! read more

Amazing upgrade to the theater! Lazy boy chairs for a premium movie experience. In addition to this are adjustable tables for those who frequent eating during movies. Make sure you show up early for good seats. It was doable with these new chairs so you won't have to crane your neck for the whole movie in the front row. I'm not even able to rate the theater itself since I had to leave the minute after I bought my ticket! Whatever you do, do not drive here! We came on a Saturday night (I know, very stupid, but that's why they have a parking garage, right?) and while my boyfriend waited in the insane line to park the car, I decided to be smart and buy a ticket. Well, it turned out the lot was full, but they didn't have any form of sign or anything explaining this! And, it is a one-way parking garage, so the only way to turn around is to do a dangerous three-point turn once you hit the wall at the top of the garage. I had to return my ticket - but still pay for parking - and wait 20 minutes until we could get back out of the lot! read more

As a resident of Lakeview, it's tough to get to a first-run theater, but fortunately I can take the Ashland bus down and be within two blocks of Regal Webster. Having parked my car here once, I have to say paying that much is pretty annoying. If you're traveling by car, best go to Regal City North on Western just because it costs less and the theater is bigger. The theaters themselves are fine. No stadium seating is a bummer, but I can't complain about the cleanliness or the sound or screen quality otherwise. With only 11 screens though, they don't offer a ton of movie times. I can say that they tend to be good about holding on to the family-friendly movies, so this is a good place to go with your kids if you have them and you want to see something that came out a few weeks back. I'm usually here during the day or weekday nights, so I've had no issues with the service whatsoever. If you want a better movie experience, don't go during prime hours on Friday and Saturday nights, unless of course that's the only time you can go. I can see this theater being not such a good place during those times because it's smaller. The best part about the theater is honestly its location. Next to a Barnes and Noble, across the street from Starbucks and near a few good places to eat, such Peaquods or Potbelly or Qdoba, it's really easy to meet someone before or after a movie for something to eat or drink. Can't say that about City North or the AMCs downtown (unless you want to spend more money). read more

My boyfriend and I came here a couple weeks ago to see the new Spiderman movie. The ticket machine ate one of our tickets, but the woman taking tickets was completely understanding and let us in and asked which machine it was so they could fix it/put it out of order. The concessions are expensive, but they are at every movie theater. We were extremely, pleasantly surprised by the reclining, large, leather chairs in the theater that come with a wooden tray and double arm rests. Absolutely one of the most comfortable theaters I have ever been to. It definitely makes the $11 ticket completely worth it. No problems at all with my experience. 5 stars. read more

Favorite things about moving into my apartment in Lincoln Park: living roughly a block away from my pizza spot, Thai place, coffee shop, B&N, Chase, and this fabulous little theater. I have been meaning to catch a show here for some time now, and was lucky enough to see "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" a couple of weeks ago. Good film, but not great. Don't worry, I won't get into details because this is a review for the theater, not the movie ;) I didn't realize how big this location actually is, until I walked in. It was definitely a nice surprise. The ticket sellers and concession stand staff were both really friendly. We caught a late show, so the theater wasn't too busy, either. A couple of things I wasn't too crazy about are their seats, and their concession stand and parking prices. While the armrests can be pushed back, the seats are a little too rigid. Unlike the armrests, they do not recline in any way, so after sitting through a 2.5 movie, your back can get super stiff and uncomfortable. Their food prices are a bit too high for my taste. I am a sucker for movie popcorn, and would pay anything for it, but $12.25 for a medium popcorn and drink is just robbery. I also noticed they have ample parking, but heard they recently raised their prices, so that is something to keep in mind in case you need to drive! Me no like those things, but other than that, this is a nice theater to catch a show at. read more

Tip: $6 movies every Tuesday -- I call it The 90's Night, when movies were affordable. Regal. I love the word Regal. There's no way to describe that word, except the word itself. Regal. The lobby area of the theatre has your typical borderline-shabby, dark carpet so you can't tell the dirtiness. However, step into an actual theatre and that's where the regalness is served. Electric recliner leather seats for everyone. Not just the back 2 rows, or the center prime seats, but everyone. We are all royalty here, for a fraction of the price on Tuesdays. read more

While I hate the paying so much to see a movie (I usually spent half the price at Logan Theater by my house) it's worth treating oneself to comfort. There is almost too much room to get comfortable at Webster Place, and I love the moving armrests so you can snuggle up to your companions just like on the couch at home (well, don't let's get carried away with that). I don't spring for snacks at this pricey venue, however, I'd rather sneak in my own. And make no plans to double-feature here, they are overstaffed just to prevent any such misdemeanors. What a terrible excuse for a movie theater!! Annoyingly yappy movie-goers aside, this is one theater that I can avoid. If it used to be worse, I would have been terrified to see what previously occupied its space. I didn't let the gangster tagging in the elevator inhibit my open mind upon entering, but the poor sound quality was very distracting. The customer service was nice - butter halfway through was a total non-issue. However, the line at the food/beverage counter just to pay for parking and leave??? Really?? There isn't a better way to do this? Because I can think of 100 other things I would rather be doing at midnight when I get out of a show. The parking garage is so poorly lit, I really didn't feel safe. I was glad that the first available spot we found was on the rooftop, because otherwise, I don't think we would have been able to find the car. This is not my favorite theater in the city. The facilities are really old, yet the tickets are just as expensive as newer theaters in the area. Parking is overpriced and you have to exit the building and pay an actual human being in a small office outside, which is really odd. Lastly, a family of baboons could run the concession stand faster than the employees they hired to stand around behind the counter. We waited in line for nearly 15 minutes - I was ready to throw in the towel but the BF desperately needed some Sour Patch Kids to keep him awake thru The Hobbit. This is a great place to watch a movie if you can plan ahead. You reserve a specific seat so reserve early for the best. But then show up half way through the previews. Great system. The chairs are super comfy so make sure you're well rested or seeing a great movie. I for one have a tendency for falling asleep during movies. I need to knock off points for the restrooms. By 8pm there was no usable toilet paper. It was all on the floor. Prices were reasonable for the area. I think it was $11. read more

Join the $5 club on their website, or seeing a movie here will feel like highway robbery. By the time you go through ticket price, concessions, and parking if needed, you'll be set back about $25. I couldn't even imagine taking someone here on a date, you'll be broke in about a month. Otherwise the seats are comfortable, and the theater is fairly nice, a little on the smaller side. Went to see Straight Outta Compton here. Parking is paid but not too expensive. Walked in to purchase tickets to the current showing 8 or 830... It was sold out So, purchased tickets to the next show, walked across the street to the Bar & had Mojitos & Lobster Tacos & then walked around Barnes & Noble Bookstore until they closed.... finally 10:30 arrived About the Theatre #1 Very Comfy Reclining Seats (makes any movie much better). Clean, No bad smells, No stickiness. Plenty of Room + Adjustable Food Tray/Tables. Didn't get to their snack bar or food selection, this time. But, Wished they served drinks & dinner there too? Not sure, but don't think so (maybe then there would be sticky seats?) Overall, I enjoyed the Theatre. The seating really was amazingly comfortable & made the experience worthwhile. 2-stars on weekend nights- took us 10 minutes to drive out of the parking structure around midnight last night- Friday eve. Only one of their gate machines is working and then the gate machine is automated and obviously takes too long to let you out if the lot backs up so badly. 4-stars on week nights- for late show place is clean + delightfully deserted +You can use your www.fivebuckclub.net cards here to see movies for only $5 that have been out for about 2 or 3 wks. The other Kerasotes theater nearby we use with our $5 cards is the one on Western N of Fullerton, Kerasotes City North 14. We have never ever had a traffic issue leaving out of that one. They spend the few bucks to have a live attendant at the exit gate, which must speed the flow of traffic I suppose. So if you don't like inhaling fumes for 10 min trying to leave after a movie, I'd stay away from this place on popular weekend eves. They don't seem to care about how long it takes to leave. This is my favorite theater in Chicago. I love their renovations. The ability to recline in the comfort of a Captain's Chair definitely makes the experience much more enjoyable...as I have a tendency to fall asleep at movies or when I am a passenger in a car. It is extremely crowded. I highly recommend purchasing tickets online ahead of time to ensure that you are able to seated with your group and to choose where you prefer to sit. read more

Worst theater ever. Good god how do they stay in business, particularly now that the lot no longer comps theater patrons. The floors are vile, the seats tiny and uncomfortable, and the service surly. There has been a noticeable drop in quality overall since it changed hands, and I am never ever going back here. There are way better theaters, save your money. Holy shit, and the parking??!! If that damned machine worked half the times I have been there, it would be a miracle. Then I got to put up with a bunch of surly BS as if it was MY fault. P-H-U-C-K this place! Place has gotten better since Kerosoates took over. It seems as if they are trying to keep the place clean and organized, which wasn't the case before. Saw Dark Knight here in one of the larger theaters. Lack of stadium seating still stinks, but it was OK. Bathroom is still kind of gross though. We found free parking where the old warehouse used to be. Overall I would see a movie here again, which was not the case 2 years ago. It's close to my house, so I could dodge the whole parking issue, and they have this $5 club you can join to go to movies for cheaper (once they've been out a little while, anyway) -- that seemed like enough to keep me going there, but I can't say it was what you might call a movie viewing experience. However I went to a movie there yesterday and they have remodelled, and it is MUCH nicer. New seats, with armrests that go up and down - and also have cupholders; a renovated lobby area. On the whole, a big improvement. It's still no River East 21, but I have to drive there, so I think I'll be sticking with my $5 movies at Webster Place. read more

I don't often go to movie theaters. In fact, the last time I had been to a theater was last summer when I went to see an André Rieu performance at a Regal Cinemas in the north suburbs. I used to go to the cinemas all the time when I was young, but the costs have skyrocketed while the pleasure of the experiences have declined. When the new How to Train Your Dragons film was released in 2019, however, I could not wait for it to be streamed or released on DVD. A trip to the theater was absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, my negative attitudes were affirmed. My husband and I arrived too early for our film, so we asked the ticket taker if we should scan our tickets though we weren't going to enter the theater quite yet. Instead, we were going to use the restrooms, take a picture with the movie poster, and peruse the snack counter and bar. He told us to scan our tickets later. Closer to show time, we returned to the bar to buy our beverages, but we were accosted by another employer for not scanning our tickets first! We explained that the other employee had told us to hold off. Alas, this "new" guy wanted to search my husbands bag, and he scrutinized our printed-at-home ticket with his flashlight as if it could be counterfeit. When all of this were behind us, we finally went to buy our beverages. However, all of the taps were out of order. Ugh! Also, there was only one bartender on duty, and the customer in front of us ordered four beverages including a cocktail that required the bartender to prepare fresh fruit that had not been prepped in advance. The strawberries were in the same plastic container I find them in at the grocery store down the street. The bartender was very nice, but it took way too long for us to buy two measly bottled beers. (If you plan to buy items from the bar, come early. Give yourself plenty of time.) The theater itself was nice enough, and the movie great. However, the bathroom was not kept clean, and I had to go to at least three sinks in order to find a working soap dispenser that actually dispensed soap. This experience just affirmed the fact that I will only go to the theater for big events like the return of Toothless to the silver screen. The experience is just not enjoyable when I can watch films at home without being accosted. At home, I can get a beer whenever I'm ready, and my clean bathroom is always stocked with soap. read more

Great reclining, comfy chairs and having the reserved seating was really nice. I can see where there would be issues getting tickets and having shows sell out since the quantity of seats is much less than a normal theater. Went to see a 3D movie and picture and sound were good. One trade off with the reclining seats is they are no longer stadium seating so everyone is at the same level. There was still no issue with viewing from the 4 row (I believe there are only 7 or 8 now), it was just different. It is also nice they built in space for people to walk by in the row so you don't have to get up. Prices are a little higher, but they are the same as the Regal on Western but with better seats & reserved seating if you purchase ahead of time (which also adds on a fee thru Fandango). And look for free street parking if you can. On Fridays & Saturdays I can see that being an issue but worse case, there is the parking lot for a nominal fee. read more

It is a nice theater... Tuesday is a cheap movie night here. The seats are super comfy, you can buy your tickets online and pick out your seats before you go, so you know if you are getting good seats or not. The food at the counter is pricy, but it is Chicago, what movie theater doesn't charge an arm and leg for popcorn and a soda. But as long as you get here a little earlier, you can order fancier food like meals and pick it up at the bar and it is just as cheap as buying popcorn! The sriracha taco's are really good! I get 4 star reviews, because it may not be perfect... but I don't think this is anything under that. I gave them 5 because it is good, staff is friendly and hopefully it will counteract the Lincoln Park Trixie reviews.... Am I the only one that notices about 90% of the bad reviews for this theater is from 20 something Trixie's?... you all know who I am talking about... The girls who grew up in the burbs moved to Lincoln Park or Boystown (like the gay boys want them there, not), everything handed to them, sheltered from the world, Daddy called them Princess a few to many times and they started to believe it. I read some of their reviews, I have never had the experience at this theater they had and I have been here many times, but then I don't treat people like they are "the help", because I wasn't raised that way. Like the one who snapped a pic of an employee, mentioned him by name and then called him a jerk because he didn't offer to validate her parking. Really? Did she drive to the theater, because if she did wouldn't the car be her responsibility, not the theater employee? She could have politely asked "Can you validate my parking"... but then that would imply she remembered she had driven. Then she goes on to rant about how when she admittedly jumped back in front of people in line, the employee asked her to please get back in line. So let me see, you drove, the employee was suppose to be a mind reader and know that in a city where only about half the population even has a car, it is the employees fault and everyone else in lines fault you forget you had driven, so then you get upset that you were asked to treat the people in line with respect that you so demand for yourself and get back in line because you forgot... but oh yes, it is the guy at the theaters fault. UGH! I don't know what is scary, the fact there are people out there like this... or the fact they are behind the wheel! I wish... and yelp should look into how to do this... employees that get reviewed get the chance to review back the customer! When yelp was still new many many years ago I worked as a bartender... I had some great reviews, they only time I ever had a bad one... the customer was literally horrible. They left out of their review the horrible way they acted and the things they said to me... I am telling you, if my Mother heard me say the things they said even today as a grown man, she would wash my mouth out with soap. I didn't know it was possible to have a poor experience at a movie theater, but I assure you, you can! The staff at the theater tonight didn't have a clue what to do when the fire alarms tripped and that's pretty dangerous to have thousands of customers have zero direction. After making it through over 90% of the new Hunger Games movie, we were forced to follow a crowd of panicked customers to the back halls of the theater and eventually we made it outside. The fire department came and cleared the building in about 10 minutes. Upon re-entry we all went back to our theaters and waited to see what was going to happen. Not one attendant was to be seen up to this point still and no announcements have been made as to what happened and as to what was going to happen from here on out... We sat for a bit and nothing was going on so I went to buy a bottle of water for 5.25 then went back to my seat again. After a few more minutes a manager came in to the theater and told us that the movie could not be forwarded to the leave off point. He used some theater jargon and called it a special file name that no one knew and told us we would all be refunded. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't it 2013, doesn't the movie get to the theater via email as a file of some sort and why in the world in 2013 can you not fast forward it to where we left off? Now I have to go back another time just to watch the final 10 minutes of the movie. Amazing! While in the long refund line, I decided that I shouldn't have to pay for a bottle of water when I am not even able to finish the movie, i can get some free water at home in about 15 minutes. I went to get a refund and they wanted the bottle back. I said it's already open aren't you just going to throw it away? It's the right thing to do to refund me and let me keep it. The associate proceeded to ignore me and ask for the bottle back so I asked for a manager. The manager came over and told me they have to send it back to the distributor since its being returned for a refund. HAHA, like the theater really sends back an open bottle of water to Coke. Dumbest thing I ever heard... **Forward to the refund line** I get to the counter and am asked if I want a refund or a voucher. Are you kidding me, I WANT BOTH! Think about it, make the situation right Regal Webster Place. I convinced the girl to give me a voucher and proceeded to move to the refund line also to talk to the manager. I politely suggested to the manager that she have the girl handing out vouchers not ask that question and just give everyone vouchers and have them wait in the refund line also and she ignored me too. This place is a ________ show. Snarly employees. Tasteless overpriced corn. Poorly calibrated theaters. The worst part about this place is the horribly mismanaged parking garage. The garage staff is consists of a small group of mongoloids clinging onto a couple brain cells. If you see the latest showing of a movie the garage staff locks the doors to some of the stairwell exits turning the parking structure into a fire hazard/frustrating maze. This only time I ever even contemplate attending this theater is when I'm eating some delicious pizza at Pequod's. read more

Super super awesome and comfortable theater. I came here to watch a 2.5 hour long movie and what better way to watch than in huge leather reclining seats! It definitely pays off. So much arm space, so much leg space, and even a small desk to put stuff on which doesn't get in your way at all. Definitely buy your tickets online first so you don't have to deal with extra lines when you come. And wow, since when did theatre food and drinks become so overpriced - it's been too long since I bothered to buy concession food. I've been coming to Webster for a LOOOONG time, as I grew up all over Lakeview. It was nice, then it got gross and sucked, and now, I like it. I hate going to the movies because you risk dealing with people who want to be rude, and then I need to tell them to shut up, and it ruins the whole movie watching experience........but I don't have problems at Webster. You can usually find parking behind, next to or in front of the theater, and the parking rate is $2, which isn't bad. You now pay upstairs, which, I feel makes more sense..........especially when you'd come in upstairs from the garage and have to go back down outside to pay. I like paying inside, particularly on really hot or really cold days. The theaters are clean. The employees, well, they're interesting. However, they're very nice and whenever I say something stupid after purchasing my overpriced water/pop/popcorn like "yeah you too", they don't shake their head. Instead, we share a laugh and they appreciate the acknowledgment. When I can, I come here, but sometimes, the one on Western has the movie I want to see and I'm forced to venture to hell. I like this theater because it's one of the few places that can adequately accommodate tall folks. There are many theaters where I have to show up early and grab the aisle seat just so I can stretch my legs from time to time. Not the case here. Ticket prices are in keeping with the neighborhood. Lincoln Park real estate ain't cheap, and you need to help with that. A matinee currently sets you back $9. I don't consider that at all reasonable, but I still end up coming back here. A 7-Eleven across the street keeps your concession costs reasonable, though. read more

$5 for parking in the garage on a Friday or Saturday. No stadium seating, so pray that no one tall sits in front of you. The arm rest does go up for some snuggling during the movies. The seats also rock but some squeak. read more

I couldn't help but notice the comments on here from other Yelpers that regarded parking. My husband and I parked on the street so I can't say I experienced problems with the parking lot. This is a clean theater that lacks stadium seating. One thing I can say is that this theater is perfect for tall folks. I have long legs and I was more comfortable than normal. The seats also have adjustable arm rests which is a nice bonus. read more
