Wow... out of 17 reviews there are only 3 good ones. What does that say to you???? Well, let's make this 18 and it's a solid 1 star!!!! Barbara in billing is very nasty and shouldn't be in this kind of a job working with people. She has absolutely no respect for patients or how to deal with them! I was trying to discuss an appointment I was told by my ins co that I'm not responsible for payment so she didn't want to hear me anymore, stated she wasn't going to argue with me about the DOS and this conversation is over and disconnected the call. The office had me in for an appointment I shouldn't have gone to unless it was after a 2 yr limitation. The practice does not take responsibility for making an error in making this appointment before the 2 yr mark and trying to tell me it's my fault and I should know my plan. I have put in a complaint with my ins company about this office. I hope to get my upfront payment refunded. In the interim, I will be collecting my records from them and taking my business elsewhere. Good luck to you if you still want to go here after reading this but don't say i didn't warn you first!!! read more

Tried calling, no answer, no call back. Sent email no response. Believe the office on Port St Lucie Blvd. is now closed. Seems to be a HIGH turnover in staff. Complained about sensitivity issue for over 1.5 years now. Finally, learned that I needed a crown. Seems to me that this dental practice has gone downhill since I first started with them 20 years ago. I will now go to a different dentist in the area. Could never recommend Regency Dental practice at this point due mainly to their seem to be a lack of professionalism and little to no respect for the patient. There are numerous quality dentists in this area, seek out and you shall find. Don't settle for this unreliable dental practice that will not return calls or respect the patient. read more

I always find staff friendly and helpful from the minute I walk in to check out. Dentist was very good and also friendly. Maddie was excellent as always. read more

I went to this dentist after moving to Florida and not having a regular dentist here. I have never had a cavity in my life. After going here, I was told I had over 6 cavities. I did not believe this and went to a second dentist and did not have any cavities. Be careful here and get a second opinion to avoid unnecessary painful work and expenses. read more

Can't seem to connect with Regency Dental. Website says they are open until 5:30pm, I've gone by the office a couple of times at 4:30pm and that place is locked up and dark inside. They don't return phone calls and I get an answering machine 9 out of 10 times. It shouldn't be this hard to reach them. Save yourself the aggravation and find a better practice, I know I am! read more

We had dental insurance and they said that their "clinical coordinator" would contact our insurance and let us know what our out of pocket would be. They said it was $133, which we paid. Then 2.5 months later they send a bill with no detail, just an invoice for $241 which included a late fee! I called to find out what this was about and the person said she didn't know but someone would call me back. They never called... 2 days later, I called again and was told that I signed a paper saying that whatever the insurance didn't cover, I was responsible. BE AWARE... UNFAIR BILLING PRACTICES and horrible customer service after the treatment. read more

I have had five appointments with Regency Dental. Of those five, one appointment was rescheduled twice to different offices on the day of the appointment and two were cancelled on the day of the appointment (despite having the appointments confirmed). As a matter of fact, one of the cancelled appointments wasn't even cancelled until I was standing outside the dentist office. The only response from them was "No one called you? Our bad." As a large dental company, I expect more professionalism. They seem to be one of those large dental conglomerates that herd people in and out to maximize profit with little regard for the actual person being treated. read more

I've read all the reviews and I'm so confused as to what they are talking about or maybe I'm on the wrong dental site but when I went I got X-rays and the dentist reviewed them and had suggestions. She suggested I get a deep cleaning but wasn't insistent. And no they don't do cleanings the first day you have to schedule it because the dentist doesn't do cleanings. It's the hygienist. So I went back for my deep cleaning and that's when the hygienist recommended I see a periodontist. He cleaned my teeth and also suggested I get my wisdom teeth removed so I got a consultation and the surgeon said he wouldn't suggest it just remove two of them. They make suggestions but was not pushy. I paid 52 dollars per two sections for the deep cleaning and to remove my two wisdom teeth was 300. It depends on your insurance. I had a good experience and I thought they made reasonable suggestions. I have a cracked tooth and the surgeon said I should have a root canal, the dentist suggested to pull it. They make the suggestions they don't use it as a threat. I will go back after this virus passes. read more

I arrived at 1:15pm for a scheduled appointment at 1:30pm. I was a new patient. When I got there the waiting room was empty, it gradually became full over the hour that I sat there waiting to be seen. People walked in saying they had a 1:45, 2:00 and 2:30pm appointment. They all went in for their appointments before me. Finally my name was called and they took X-rays. Very very blurry X-rays. I'm 44 years old. In all my years I have always seen very clear X-rays of my teeth. Not at this place. The hygienist did not look at my teeth once. The dentist took the little round mirror and did a 5 second look around in my mouth and that was it. They suggested a deep cleaning, which is fine. And they recommended that I should have my wisdom teeth removed. They are not a problem. What I went there for was a small cavity that is causing discomfort and no one even looked at it and they said I should get a crown, instead of a filling. This place just simply does not care and I will not be going back. They could tell I looked a bit confused because I have never been to a dentist that did not poke around a bit and truly examine my teeth. They know what I need based off some very blurry X-rays? I'll get a second opinion elsewhere. This is a very lazy office and the doctor... Dr Joe, simply could care less and he clearly displayed that to me. The hygienist actually told me, "aren't you happy you got a good report card?" LOL THEY DID NOTHING. And wasted a good 3 hours of my time from my job that I took time away from and I still have a toothache. No thanks. read more

I went for a cleaning today and instead had a high pressured consultation and quoted almost $2,000 to fix my jaw. I was told the damage came from grinding my teeth. I have never ground my teeth -ever. Nothing is wrong with my jaw. Then I was informed I would have to make another appointment for the cleaning. I explained that I thought this appointment was for a cleaning. They refused to clean my teeth today. Also, I was told I had "4-5 cavities and my 1 filling was leaking and needed replaced". I have a very hard time believing I have 4-5 cavities when I had none 6 months before. I was quoted close to $2,000 to fix the "damage". My husband went yesterday for a cleaning and was told he needed to see a specialist at their office for periodontal disease. They refused to clean his teeth until seeing the specialist. While I was waiting, 3 other patients came out telling family members they needed to see their specialist before getting their teeth cleaned. UPDATE 2/21/2013 - I went to another Dentist for a cleaning and second opinion. They were unable to find ANY cavities and of course there is no damage to my jaw. My husband DOES NOT have periodontal disease either. I can't believe that Regency Dental is getting away with this. PATIENTS BEWARE! read more

Stay away! Went in for a routine exam and cleaning. I have dental insurance and was told it's all included. 3 months later I get a bill for over $200 for items not covered, and they had the audacity to include a late fee! It was the first I had even heard of this bill! They only replied with "You signed a form saying that you are responsible for anything the insurance doesn't pay." Yeah, but I thought I could trust them in finding out what was covered and what wasn't. Unfair and unethical in my opinion. read more

Long story short, they falsified information to try and get me to pay close to $3000 to get my wisdom teeth removed. They did not numb me all the way and insisted I was lying when I said I could experience pain in my mouth during my operation. They were rude to my caring spouse who grew concerned when he could hear me screaming from the waiting room while I was anesthetized. I would not wish this organization on my worst enemy. They are money gouging, inconsiderate, terrible people. read more

A couple of months ago, I was notified of an outstanding balance which surprised me since I have Cigna and after each visit, I paid whatever I was told I had to pay out of pocket. After several unreturned phone call messages to the billing department, I made a personal visit on one of my days off. I spoke with someone from billing who gave me a printout to go over and stated that it takes time for the insurance company to 'finalize' just how much they are going to cover - how then were they telling me how much I had to pay out of pocket?? Anyway, I reviewed the print out and about a week later, called the billing to ask them to apply what I owed to my care credit account. I have left at least 3 phone messages, but have yet to receive any response. Well, yesterday I received a letter from the billing department with PAST DUE boldly written in the upper right-hand corner, indicating that I am past due on my account. I have been tolerating the less than professional responses to questions I have asked the dentists (I seem to have a different one assigned each visit who then finds something other than what the previous dentist found that needs to be worked on, resulting in at least 3 different plans of action), but everyone has their limit. Despite the recorded message that states how important I am as a patient, and that my call will be answered within 48 hours, I will once again have to make a personal visit to the office to settle this matter. I will also request any and all of my medical records and seek another dentist. read more

My experience has not been good. My son and I have both gone for exams, but cleanings cannot be dobe the same day. Neither can any dental work. I had an appointment for a consult for oral surgery while he is home for Christmas break. They called today to change because it was no longer convenient for the surgeon. I would never recommend this dentist. I gave them one star because zero is not an option. read more

I do not recommend Regency Dental they charge you always more and more . Horrible experience with the office too. Please pay attention!!!I saw the others reviews is always the same problem , they are very crazy. read more

Dr. Shiju Cherian saved my life. I had to have a route canal and he was able to squeeze me in and do the procedure on the same day. After being in pain for a week, once I saw Dr. Cherian I felt 100% again. I could not believe that the next morning after the you're canal I was myself again. He knows what he is doing and I would definitely recommend him to anyone. Thank you Dr. Cherian!! read more

Don't go here unless you like the feeling of pain. Here was my experience: I was sent here by the Regency office on PSL Blvd to "see a specialist". I have pain on the lower left side if my mouth and they thought I might have a problem with the nerves. I was seen by Dr Cherian. He tapped on my teeth hard after I had just been thtough these tests about an hour ago at the other office. He then said the diagnosis was inconclusive. He told me to take antibiotics and come back to be rechecked in 3 months-no make it 6 months-nah come back in 4 months was the final answer. He told me to stop taking over the counter pain meds cause it masks the pain. Isn't that why people take them? He then eluded to the suggestion that he didn't think I had any pain in the first place. After all, everyone loves seeking medical treatment only to get a large bill afterward just for the hell of it right? Glad he didn't do anything major to me--check out another online review where a patient reviews him saying that Dr Cherian was on his cell phone too much while performing a root canal! Scary ....the only good part of the experience was that the staff was polite. read more

Worst dentist i have ever been too! Okay first off I wanted to get Invisalign on the condition that I did not want any glue to be applied to my teeth. When I told the dr this he said that it was not a problem. The day my Invisalign came in I arrived at the dentist and they tried to hand me a bill for around $2000. They said I couldn't get my Invisalign until it was paid in full. Which was weird because the women I spoke to the day before said I could make payments. Long story short I never signed a document stating I would pay those fees so they told me I could make payments. After the Problem I had getting into the room I was even more disappointed to find the dental assistant trying to put glue on my teeth after I already told the dr that I did not want Invisalign if glue was involved. The assistant preceded to tell me that if I didn't get the glue my bite would get messed up and it would make me teeth worse which makes no sense. The dr then came in and said none of those things will happen and I will be fine without glue. So I got my Invisalign and it was working but every visit the bugged me about the glue and I caved which was the worst decision I could have made. I got my Invisalign off about six months and during this visit the dr was supposed to remove the glue and he was in such a rush that he half way removed the glue and I still have glue on my teeth till today... Not to mention on top of all of this halfway through my visits I got a letter saying they were sending my bill to collections if I didn't pay and denied ever saying I could make payments. Bottom line this place is terrible go some where else if you can. read more
