I come here often, especially on Tuesdays as their $7 pricing is the best in the valley. Love they do retro/old films on Wednesdays a ton. Recently saw Jaws here and that was tremendous (only problem was the lights turned on with like 10 mins left of the movie...) So booked my tickets online to secure our seats but the tickets are cheaper at the stand. I'm from Bakersfield and let me tell you the screen this theater offers is so much better, it was so awesome watching the saga on a beautiful screen. Shout-out to the man that is circled. Idk his name but he was so friendly and really made you feel welcomed. He let my babies run around and play on the steps and I heard him tell the dad's that were around Happy Father's Day as they walked out the theater, he didn't have to but he did. He was playful by telling my babies not to jump lol. I wish more people had his personality/aurora because it really makes you feel welcomed, so thank you for that Mr. you're awesome!!! The theater has a car coming through the roof which was so cool to see! The kids had a blast taking pics. The combo prices are great. We had a spontaneous late night need to watch a move. I was surprised at how busy it was. Even though it was busy, we didn't have to look long for parking. The snack line, however, was extremely. Luckily we were not planning to get snacks. And we were late anyway lol. Employees were friendly and the theater seats each have a small table and recline. I haven't been here in forever. They have really renovated the place. It looks really good and it's very clean. Very spacious as well. They have arcade games in front. Very nice and display and we are here to see strangers during the night. I'm very excited and I can't wait to see it. Also wow they have recliner seats and it's dine in style! Came here today for the first time! Parking was easy, there's a huge lot out front, no ticket required. Since it was a Sunday daytime, the price of the ticket was reasonable, a little over $16. I was surprised at how comfy the seats were! Leather recliner seats and there's a little foldout table for your snacks as well as a cup holder. It was really comfortable! Not going to lie, this was my first time here... Didn't really know what to expect as it was a first. I always thought it was one of those affordable theatre that needed updating. Well, jokes on me. We stopped in for an early movie. First of the day. Parked in the plant area where all the stores were. Walking towards the theatre, I didn't even know they had a parking lot as well. That's good to know now. As it was early, tickets had to be purchase at the concession stand. I did notice that the front windows didn't have any movies times on display. Inside, I was surprised to see that it was quite nice and big. They also have the ticket machine as well. Concession stand was quite big. Only one person working. Early rush and mid week was very quiet as it was not busy. Not only the theatre, there's a good amount of video games scattered as well as a Photo Booth. Whatever brings the people in and it's nice to have something to do while you wait for your show. Inside the theatre, another shock. The seats were all nice comfy lounges. Very wide isle so you don't have to get up for someone to walk by. The seats all recline with the button on the right. There's also a swivel table with a cup holder attached to chair. The details are great. First time here and it won't a last now. Also ticket prices are good compared to some of the bigger theatre. read more

Regency 16 at Regency Theatres Van Nuys Plant 16 you've super grown up. This once rustic rough near a diamond is a full on shinning star in the city of Panorama City, bordering the city of Van Nuys. I haven't been here since 2014 when I saw the first Guardian's of the Galaxy and it wasn't an enjoyable experience in the slightest. I'd seen a handful of movies prior, but decided to take a step back from Regency Theaters. My friend Derrick is an avid movie goer, more so than myself so when he recommended we go here to see Weapons, I was all in and wow from the parking lot to the outside to the moment you walk in, this place feels fresh and fun. They have a soon to open bar area, arcade, concessions, immaculate floors, displays and even restrooms. We were in one of the first theaters and the seats are top tier... I was like this is better than AMC. The sound was premo and the screen picture perfect, no added framing. The previews didn't feel as long either. I know during the pandemic they started the makeover process and even had movies in the parking lot, very Drive-In style and very accomodating. It's amazing to see them reinvent themselves with Luxury Recliners Reserved Seating Reasonable ticket pricing Even more ADA compliant spacing, ramps and paths. Everything feels bigger, better and brand new. Great movies snacks including takis, hot pretzels and the classics. Not to mention fountain, bottled, canned and/or boxed drinks for refreshments. Not as much hot food or lifestyle/dietary friendly options as other theaters, but definitely improving all the time. This place has had an upgrade! I hadn't been here in maybe 5 years and I kept seeing that it was "renovated" so I decided to check it out for myself. Let's just say it has improved so much, there's recliner chairs, new carpet, a bar and a new concessions stand. The theater is pretty clean and well maintained, only complaint is the actual screen was a bit dirty and had some streaks that were visible while watching our movie. The seats were so comfortable and the little attached table is such a plus because you now have somewhere to put your snack. They still kept their arcade area which brings back so many memories! The concessions stand looks lively and appealing. Ticket prices are fair and they even have discounted tickets on Tuesdays which is a huge plus. I absolutely love The Plant! After the renovations, this place is comparable to an AMC. The picture and sound quality are great and the new reclining seats are super comfy and have a little tray for all your concessions. They offer a wide variety of snacks including hot cheetos and nacho cheese, but my favorite is the classic popcorn. At a cheaper ticket price, the Plant is well worth a visit and I can only hope Regency Granada Hills is renovated next. read more

Pretty nice seat, but maintenance needed to get their act together. The toilet in here was overflowing with toilet paper and there was urine all over the floor. However, the seats in the theater were nice and recline all the way back which is better than the Alamo. Food is priced fairly too for a theater and almost felt like I was back in 2010. Updating my review because I recently had such a great experience I wanted to share! I came in last Saturday to see The Odyssey for the 3:55 matinee (a steal for only $11 a ticket btw) and the screen was HUGE! Paired with recliner seats, I was very pleased. However, there was unfortunately a man in our row who was extremely loud and having outburst fits of laughter and speaking throughout the movie, it was very distracting. I went out to ask a manager if I could move seats and he helped me right away, allowing me to make a new seat selection and offering his apologies. He then called over a security guard, not 100% sure of his name I believe it may have been Tony? However, he was the kindest amazing man, offered his apologies and went to check on the theatre to keep eyes out in case anyone continued being disruptive. He was so kind and welcoming and personable, I will always choose Regency above all other movie chains for people like him, especially this location at the plant! read more

This theater is fantastic after its recent renovation! The upscale vibe makes it feel like a luxury theater without the luxury price tag. The new electric leather reclining seats are incredibly comfortable and feel high end. Ticket prices are also a great value, especially on $7 Tuesdays. I will definitely be back soon. read more

Not gonna lie - the last time I came to this theater was like 2018 or so. I remember it not being the best as it was ghetto as hell (ironically right next to an LAPD station and a fire station). Decided to come here on a whim recently to catch a flick. There's some construction currently going on outside, but inside the theaters have been nicely upgraded. It's so nice I had to do a double-take! This is The Plant right? Talk about a glow up! The restrooms are still a mess and I wouldn't hang around the parking lot alone for too long, but if you're in the hood you can do much worse for your movie-going experience. It is so empty that the few handful of employees there are hyper focus on little things to the point of pettiness. Boring af. Management poor, trying too hard on stuff that don't matter and only pleasing the wrong people. Spare yourself and go to the one by Trader Joe's in Noho instead. The Plant is a no frill theater. I don't care about concessions so I don't have an opinion about that. I just come here for years to watch a certain movie that is playing because their parking lot is bigger, prices are more reasonable and the screen and audio system are decent. Nothing spectacular, but I don't always need that. Ok seats, the audience, well, that varies. Restrooms could be cleaner and staff a tad friendlier, but The Plant is always been an option for going to the theater for many, many years. read more

Great experience here. The two young employees who checked us in were very nice and professional. They helped us with a refund since my husband accidentally pre-purchased extra tickets without realizing it. The security guard was also super friendly. Theatre was clean and the seats were comfortable and reclined; parking is right next to a police station so that was good. To top it off my son left his air pods in the theatre and we didn't notice until 20 minutes after the movie ended and we drove back and the same employee who scanned our tickets upon entry had them - very honest people working here, so nice to see that these days! I didn't have any faith in this place (I don't know why ? I had never been) But I brought my kids here now for about 5 movies now . For me , since my children are small , we go during matinee , It's early Plenty of parking Easy walk to the theatre & also nearby stores for after movie shopping We always get the reclining seats ( not sure if every room is like that ? ) It was always very clean Very fast service at the concession stand The food is obviously average Good pizza , popcorn & snacks I really like that since I have children I can bring a backpack with wipes , diapers , a bottle , spare clothes (trust me one day my kids needed a change of clothes ) Bathrooms are clean Atleast at the times I go We'll continue to come back ! I live in Sherman Oaks and usually go to the theater there, but I was close to a Regency theater Van Nuys and they were playing the movie I wanted. Oh my God what a fantastic theater! The vaults are all the way up so you get the best picture of the seats are amazing Big comfortable seats that go back and also have trays for your snacks. The staff is great. I don't care if I live closer to another theater I will drive the extra few minutes. It takes to get to this Regency theater band eyes for all the rest of my movies. Basic theatre that does what it needs to do. Watched the new Spider-Man movie and the screen and sound were great. The only issue I had was that they weren't putting any space between the seats and it seemed like people were just sitting wherever they wanted. Halfway through the middle of the movie I went to the restroom which was just absolutely disgusting. No seat covers, toilets stuffed with paper, urine, or feces. At the end of the movie I went again, and the smell of the bathroom near the entrance made my stomach turn so I just waited until I got home. Just because tickets are cheaper doesn't mean you don't keep your restrooms clean and sanitized. Other than that, it's a pretty nice, retro theatre with basic accommodations. read more

Maybe it's the pandemic cabin fever talking but after nine months of binging movies on my couch, I decided to take the plunge and hit up a local drive-in for a special treat. I hadn't been to a drive-in since my kids were little, many many years ago, and was extremely pleased with the experience at the Regency. Tickets: purchase on-line. Our original date was cancelled due to rain and it was easy to exchange the ticket for a later date. $40 per car for the drive-in. Movie quality and sound: Unlike the old-fashioned drive-ins with the speaker that you hooked up to your window, now all you have to do is turn on your car radio. Luckily, my car actually has pretty good speakers so the sound was great. The projector created a clear image on the wall of the brick-and-mortar theater that was easy to see (make sure your windshield is clear.) Service: Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The announcer oriented us to the drive-in environment and even suggested that we wait for "one last scene" after the credits for WW84 started rolling. (It was worth the wait, right?) Parking: The staff directs you in and out of your parking place like those folks at the airport, with the lighted wands to guide you. Being in your own car: It's awesome. You can bring your own snacks and drinks, talk all you want, and text to your heart's delight. While I did enjoy WW84, to be honest some parts were kinda boring and it was nice not to feel guilty about surfing the net for a sec. Concessions: They are open. But I love the flexibility of bringing your own....whatever. Overall, a great outing during a pandemic or anytime. read more

Today we went to see super Mario brothers because I did not want to drive any further to a different theater the last time I went there was nice and clean today. The poor manager was working harder than the employees were. It was a disaster. There was trash all over the place popcorn all over the place it was filthy. The bathrooms were full of water, because someone broke the water pipe, and the poor manager didn't know what to do because he didn't have enough employees for the company, and he did not provide enough employees for him not sure which one but it was horrific and to make things worse. My wife had to stand in line for almost 40 minutes. To get popcorn for my son and drinks so she missed 40 minutes of the movie because there wasn't enough help thank you regency honestly, that was one of the worst experience that I've ever had. And as a customer, I apologize to you guys because we are slobs and pigs. Not including myself, because What people do to your bathrooms and to your floors would not do to their house or to their bathroom and to allow their kids to make a huge mess in the bathroom or anywhere it's just ridiculous this is a huge thing and it comes with the responsibility of being a parent where you teach your kids manners and obviously by the looks of the theater today and the bathroom was horrible. I hope that you guys can get that poor Manager some help because he was running around. Like a chicken with no head. He was trying to do 1 million things at once. And he had no help so kudos to that manager and good luck to you guys regency This message is for the picture where all the workers serve all our delicious foods this is what they get for hiring kids and not adults i'm sorry Manager.
