Huge pros and cons. Games here are pricey. We're talking about 80 tokens for 20 bucks, where each game is about 8 to 13 tokens, where all the popular ones are on the higher end. They offer a time-play card for cheap, about 10 dollars for 60 minutes, but you can only play about 18 games, and usually the less popular ones. So yes, pricey, but they offer food for cheaper than most places, even than the mall itself. You can get your kid ice cream here for 1 dollar, yes, 1 freaking dollar! That's what sold me. Food is also cheap; we got a large pepperoni pizza, fries, and an unlimited refill drink for 10 bucks. They got alcoholic drinks at a decent price too. And they currently have a collab with anime shows so you can get special drinks and cups, like from the One Piece collectors edition that keeps selling out quick. You can also get specialty food. They also offer bowling and pool so you can spend a whole day here. My son and I spent 2 hours here, and we had a blast. Expensive, yes, but fun nonetheless. read more

I'm a dad who reviews restaurants solely based on the baby changing stations available to dads. I'm not sure how it's possible, but Round 1 has one of the best baby changing setups I've seen, short of Carter's. The flip down changing table is by the sinks, with its own partition for privacy. No changing your baby in the accessible stall next to some dude taking a dump. Clean, private, and great to use. I will note that the changing table is currently out of order, but i have used it several times before and it's a very baby and dad-friendly setup. read more

Come to find out that this establishment originated in Japan and I am so glad that there is one available for us to enjoy here in the states. Any form of entertainment, arcades, rhythm games, dancing games, shooting games, virtual reality, Photo Booth even arcades that give you emblems and cards that you can keep and upgrade your deck with and come back and play again. I mean the list just keeps going on. There are lights and sounds everywhere along with music being played for a nice sensory thrill for anyone who enjoys it. If you come during less busy times, it will be a little quieter and you can feel like you carved out a little place of happiness for yourself. They have all kinds of drinks and refreshments from finger foods and pizza to beer, Japanese sodas, even ice cream and desserts all kinds of different flavored drinks. Many rotating promotional collaborations from different anime and manga franchises, video games and so on and so forth. A special shout out goes to the following people for helping make my visit extra special. They were kind and patient, answered all of my questions, allowed me to overcome the learning curve and thoroughly enjoy myself. I really needed it too. I was in the Burbank area for the Jackalope Art Fair and since we got decent parking, we decided to go into the mall to check it out. My fiancé and I used to have Dave & Busters passes, so we knew we would enjoy Round 1. Upon entering, we went to activate a game card and Javier helped us out. He was friendly, and efficient. I was walking towards the back with the Japanese toy machines when I saw there was a Disney Photo Booth. I LOVE photo booths and make my fiancé take a photo with me every time we see one, but I'm also a huge fan of Stitch, so this was perfect. I have never seen a Disney Photo Booth before and was super impressed. Then we made our way to the claw machines, and here's where I wasted all our money. There was this panda nigiri that we really wanted and I was convinced if I just hooked the claw around the tag's loop we could get it. We spent all our money on this until about our last 3 swipes when Javier magically appeared and taught us how to do it. Just one try after Javier's instructions, my partner got it! We then went to reload the card since we wasted all our money on that one panda, and played more claw games, but this time the mini ones. I had so much fun- I got the duck ramen on my first try! Then we went back to the infamous panda nigiri machine to show that machine who's boss and BOOM I got a second one on my first try (thank you Javier for the tips!). It was so much fun and all the employees I interacted with were so friendly and sweet. I really enjoyed how the employees wanted to help us win. So much fun for a little date activity! read more

I went on a tour of the LA Round1s (minus the original, since I had no time) and this was my favorite one. It's humongous, has reasonable structured parking right next to it with tons of spaces, and the win rate was very generous. It's attached to an inside mall that I didn't put a foot in, but I imagine it's a nicer mall based on the surroundings I passed. They seem to have a very large space inside, and a healthy volume of people roaming through all the aisles and arcade games. The people at the counters were also numerous and attentive. Yeah some machines were very weak and some had cheese wheels, but I think a majority were reasonably fair. I'm from NorCal and Burbank is by far my favorite Round1 at the moment. I liked this location so much that I had to visit it twice during my trip. I'm not too sure what to do with all the jumbo prizes I won! I will say though, this location has the laziest workers I've ever seen. We asked people to help us several times, and the usual response was "I'll get someone else" or being told to wait for nothing. You have to be extremely proactive and annoying about requesting for help. They're one of the first receivers of the gashapon and they're cute little keychain trinkets or figures, but ultimately I wasn't really interested in any of the random anime IPs. read more

BEST DATE EVER!!! I just got back from the best date ever! We love exploring arcades and have never been to a Round 1 before. As soon as you walk in, it's lots of noise and lights, so if you are sensitive to that, I recommend glasses and/or headphones. There are lots of claw machines with plushies and figures. From mini claw machines to big ones. I won a Spa Mocha after about 10 tries and he's soooo cute! I love Milk & Mocha!!! We tried getting the Milk plushie to match but we couldn't get her. Maybe next time! We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of fun interactive games - our favorite was the Taiko no Tatsujin drum game! You work up a sweat! Also really enjoyed the motorbike racing game. And there were lots of people playing the Circle games behind us and the DDR. The place looked pretty clean to us and we will most likely be back. We all know the crane machines are rigged but we love the thrill of winning. It's a gamble, but we do it for the kids, right? Right? This last visit was rough for my niece, nephews and daughters. Each kid had a card loaded for $30 each and they usually end up with some kind of prize - not this time. The crane machines kept picking up the plushes, but every single time dropped them. Overall, the plushes and toys in the machines are good prizes and it's fun to play to try to win. Wish they would set the machines to pay out a little more. 4 years ago I came to Round1 and I wasn't impressed. But what changed 4 years later that completely flipped that script? The Burbank location expanded and moved their rhythm games to a different section rather than keeping it as one of the first things you see as you walk in. Maybe its the feng shui. I feel that its flows a lot better now. I see the certain types of prizes that you can win and they are not the low budget/aliexpress/temu/rejects you see around. I will admit the anime collaborations was grabbed my attention during 2025 xmas. I did get involved and allowed my nieces and I to hang out more. We've even gone to different locations because of it. It's been 3 months since my last visit. It definitely feels harder to win this time... I usually spent $110 (800 credit) per visit, and with most machines being 14 credits per play, it about $2/play. Usually I walks out with a handful of plushies, but I could barely win anything this time (only 2 figurines and 1 plush!). All the machines feels comparitively rigged. Also, the prizes for this visit wasn't as attractive as the ones in my previous visits. The staffs are friendly but they are hard to find when you need assistance. I've been coming to ROUND1 for years, and I usually avoid the food because the one time I tried it before, it was just mediocre. On my most recent visit, though, it was by far the worst food I've had there. Not only is it overpriced, but the quality was honestly some of the worst I've experienced in a long time. I also ordered a draft beer, and it was completely flat and undrinkable. That's especially disappointing considering how much they charge for both the food and drinks. At those prices, the quality should at least be decent. I do want to give credit where it's due: the staff has always been friendly and helpful, and I don't blame them for the food or drink quality. The atmosphere is still fun and one of the main reasons I keep coming back. I really hope management improves the kitchen and bar quality because it's bringing down what is otherwise a great place to hang out. read more

I came here with some friends. First time to a Round One and was interested to see how it was. They have bowling, pool tables, lots of arcade games, including really giant ones and VR ones, and have a ton of crane games and some sort of card collecting game (for tickets) that my friend explained to me in detail but I didn't fully understand. I was definitely the oldest one in my party here, though I saw an elderly couple walk through the place too. Mostly young folks and families. They have food available, though limited and of the sort you might expect at an arcade/bowling alley. Pizza, fries, drinks, etc. I think I did see they have ramen now and some other Japanese themed items, which makes sense. The women's restroom I used wasn't very clean, and the tables near the dining area weren't kept cleared/wiped down. I got the impression there was far too few staff to keep the place looking and feeling really nice. I enjoyed watching people play the crane games. They look super easy but the crane arms are super lose and don't want to hold anything. That said, while hanging out for 4 hours I literally witnessed 2 people win the large stuffed prizes (one symbolic pillow and one turtle). But also saw one lady carrying one of the humungous stuffed animals, and many people carrying the little keychain type toys. Noisy, chaotic, not the cleanest. Easy parking. We were there on a Saturday around 3pm and we were able to get 2-3 tables for our crowd. I wouldn't mind coming back, but for an old timer like me there wasn't much that appealed and I wanted to see more staff attending to cleanliness. "Ok" experience for me. Lining up here has now become my #1 worst experience of 2026. Compared to the experiences of my friends, this is the worst Round1 of SoCal and perhaps one of the worst in the entire nation considering people waited 16 hours (until closing) and were still not able to get their items. They have no clue how to properly handle promotions or the empathy to accommodate customers staying in line under the blistering heat. I have no idea why they couldn't just have passed out tickets. Even performing a simple status check for their patrons was beyond their capability let alone using some sort of organized waitlist. Instead, they just breadcrumbed information and wasted everyone's time. read more

Ah man seems like every Round1 has really gone downhill. Prices are getting really ridiculous, I get there is inflation but at this level it starts to become diabolical. Once my favorite spot to come to seems just like a total money grab now. Crane games range from $2 minimum all the way to almost $4 a play with a huge payout. The cranes with the big candy looking pick up price is absolutely rigged and have 10-20 play payouts. No real skill required, just a payout when the claw strength increases. Most games cost $2 a play and now the minimum you can add to your card is $20 which only gives like 82 credits, games cost 8 credits a play! I still come here since my friends enjoy coming but it's sad to see how far they've gone to maximize profits. Once an awesome hangout spot, now just a spot I always leave with tons of regret of why I even came. read more

Had my birthday party here for 16 people, not only was it really easy to get a reservation for 4 bowling lanes and a party room and I had a great time. Pizza came included with the party and it was better than normal arcade/bowling quality. The staff were super attentive and helpful. Bowling lanes were good, besides some small mechanical issues, my party and I had a great time. Round1 has been open at the Burbank Town Center for like 5 years or so now. We've always wanted to check it out, but we didn't feel like dealing with kids every which way. Had the day off so naturally we ventured out to downtown Burbank and decided to finally give Round1 a shot. They have karaoke, bowling, billiards, food and games. We just wanted the arcade, so we approached the counter and bought some game cards. Apparently their prices vary on time and weekends. We bought game cards that have unlimited plays for 1 hour - each card costs $8 plus $2 activation. The unlimited plays are only on certain arcades, so maybe do a walk through first to check out which ones are marked green to see if they're worth it for you. They're mostly shooters, fighting games, racing games, air hockey, and some other ones. I was a little hesitant on getting the hour unlimited play since it seemed like the selection wasn't going to be big, but honestly it's a pretty good deal! You don't have to worry if you have enough credits, just swipe and play! $10 is a steal! The games we played are pretty much the ones we go for anyways, so I feel like we got a lot of bang for our buck. If you don't get the unlimited play, it can get quite expensive to load up cards for enough credits to play everything you want. We can't wait to come back! It's a great way to kill some time and relive (or make your own) arcade memories. The biggest drawback in our experience was just figuring out how to use our unlimited cards and finding which games we could play - after that it's smooth sailing. Round1 is pretty massive so you're bound to find something you'll want to play. They're open every day (including all major holidays) from 10AM-2AM, but minors need to be accompanied by guardians/parents after 10PM. If you want to go when there's less kids, try weekday afternoons or late nights. Also bring hand sanitizer because it gets warm and sticky inside! read more

I recently had a party here and I was extremely disappointed. My party was from 4pm to 7pm and I got there 30 mins early. I was informed when I got there that the advanced order for additional pizza I had put in will not be provided by the store because they didn't have enough pizza. My booking came with 6 free pizzas so I ordered an additional 4 pizzas. I had no choice but to just say okay to the 6 free pizzas and I just went ahead and added more wings and fries to my order to make up for the pizza. At around 4:20 when my party was already 20mins in, I was approached by another staff member who told me that they are not able to provide ANY pizza at all. This booking was not last minute, I had booked the party weeks ahead so it's definitely something they knew they were going to need. My guests were already there and I had NO FOOD yet. I had to ask my husband to go inside the mall to buy pizza from Sbarro just so we would have pizza. We ended up spending so much money for pizza that we did not expect to have to buy outside. Yes, they refunded me for the pizza but that doesn't make up for the fact that they gave us a huge problem that we had to deal with and that they did not even find a solution on their own since It's technically supposed to be their problem and not mine. Yes, the staff was nice and apologetic but they also provided NO SOLUTION. They just basically said "Well we can't provide any pizza for your party, sorry". They ended up refunding me for the pizza and giving me vouchers for bowling but I still would never recommend this place for a party. The way they dealt with this situation was just not helpful especially when you're paying $54 per person. PS- Our party host Ethan was beyond amazing. He seemed like he was embarassed that we had to deal with this and he tried so hard to be helpful to us as much as he can. read more

I frequent this Round 1 since it's the only one in the LA area nearby. There's a very large parking structure next to the external entrance and so I recommend parking there as Round 1 is open way past the mall closing (1:30am) They have a good variety of claw machines and I usually am able to win some or many plushies depending on my luck! The place is decently maintained and on par with other Round 1's. I only took off a star because the most recent time I came on a Sunday in December, they seemed to be understaffed. We could NOT find people to help with the broken claw machines or to retrieve prizes. One poor worker had a line of people waiting for his help on the floor! This isnt the usual experience so maybe it was that one day. I will continue to frequent this location and still recommend it for a good time! read more

Back in the day there was more of a fairness when it came to winning prizes. I noticed over the years has gotten worse and worse. Almost impossible for folks to get a chance to win something. I came here tonight after maybe about a year or two and I noticed that most of the claw machines are completely rigged to the point where they're nearly impossible to win. Even though I know this is more rigged than skill based, even if you do know a little bit of skill to try to win these. It's still almost impossible. They added little bars that stopped the claw machines from moving too far out, so you can't strategically move it too far to the left and it makes it really impossible to win these plushes. $55 down to drain. I couldn't even get one thing and I'm usually pretty good at claw machines, especially at this place at some point I don't know. I don't think I'd ever come here again read more

I recently booked my son's bowling birthday party at Round 1 and everything went really well. From the booking itself, to the planning and preparation and then the actual party. Lewis, the Manager, was very attentive and was happy to answer all of my questions. Even when I kept calling back with additional questions about the party. On the day of the event, Cody was my party coordinator and he was so thorough from the beginning to the end. He made sure to continuously check on my guests to make sure that no one was in need of anything and was very prompt with refreshing the food and beverages. The party couldn't have turned out any better and I would definitely recommend Round 1 for special occasions. read more

Needed a fun place for my husband's birthday, a cool activity indoors under the circumstances. So I found out about Round 1 Bowling inside the Burbank mall. Apparently it's been there for a while? How come I didn't know about it? Well, bowling it was. Easy parking. The Arcade is below near the food court. We went to book an hour of bowling, they didn't have any lanes available even if when we looked, just 2-3 were occupied. We put our name down for them to text us and they said it'd take 30 minutes. We figured we might play skee ball in meantime. We asked where the machine was, walked there, couldn't find it. Asked another staff member who told us they expand so they moved it to the new space next door which isn't opened yet. Pretty bad! The place is noisy so we left to go to some stores in the mall and kill time. No texts after 35 minutes so we went back. The lane was ready. Well, why not text us? Once we started bowling it was fun, we didn't get food or beers, buy maybe some other time. It was a nice staff member (the best) who helped us set up the electronic device. We were rusty at the beginning, but it came back and had an hour of fun. At some point the machine stopped working, so we had to deal with that and get a few extra minutes. They have bowling shoes ($5,75), the balls have various sizes. Great fun! I wish customer service was better! Lots of people complain about it and they are right! Employees don't engage with you, greet you, ask you to come to the counter, they avoid looking at you and hang out with each other. They do show up to hassle you when you are done. I love Round1 and was happy when I saw that there was a location near where we decided to have dinner. My friend and I both agreed to swing by after dinner and play a few (a lot of) rounds of random games - claw machines for me and ticketing machines for her. This location was decent - prices are similar to ones we've gone to before. There was a decent amount of machines and most seemed to be working. There was a good variety of claw machine prizes and I was very interested in a few of them. Usually, I'm able to get at least 1, if not more, prize each time I've been to Round1. I'm not sure if I was just unlucky this time, or the machines were trickier - but it seemed harder than usual to get a prize. Better luck next time, I guess. Overall atmosphere is the usual for a Round1 - loud music and lots of people. I also noticed that this location seemed to have more kids than at other locations - maybe because it was summer and earlier in the evening (around 9:30)? Not sure. We also got some ice cream and this is where the 1 star was taken off. Not sure why, but there was only 1 machine that was working to make orders on - unfortunately, people didn't know and there was much confusion about getting in line to order from the machine. There didn't seem to be a solid reason why the several workers behind the counter couldn't take our orders and overall, it took over 15 minutes to get two ice cream cones. read more

Round 1 in the City of Industry was my go to location until this one opened up. While the atmosphere was fun with plenty of arcade machines and claw machines, there could be a lot of room for improvement. We went for my brothers birthday this year, after being cancelled last year due to website scheduling inconsistencies, and it was a bit lackluster. Of course we all had fun, but the food was okay (Pizza and wings), and one of the 3 bowling lanes reserved for us had an issue in the beginning. The only good thing without issue was the Karaoke party room we were assigned where there was no hiccup. Cody was very helpful and definitely a great employee who was always doing what he could to make the experience better. With that said, the staff is always helpful and welcoming. Me and my fiance get there. Security was extremely weird. However we went inside. Went to the bar. They didnt know what a lemon drop shot was. And they wouldnt allow me to do vodka on the rocks. Said "people ruined it". Which makes no sense becaue you are serving the same amount if alcohol in the mixed drink. I just dont like mine sweet so please like juice. He said no. This is one of the places where my kiddo likes to go... It has a very heavy Asian influence. She's very into Japanese culture and anime and stuff and of course, all the regular games, but an emphasis on Asian culture. It was a lot of fun. I just can't stay for a very long time because it's not cheap. But how much does it cost to go out and have a good time with your kids? It's gonna be expensive no matter what you do or where you go.
