Beware!! This business owner is completely unprofessional and rude. I called to cancel my appointment (yes it was short notice) today due to being sick with a contagious airborne virus - strep throat. She has the audacity to ask me if I knew I was sick yesterday and why I didn't cancel sooner. I get that ideally she would want a longer notice. However, I felt fine yesterday and went to urgent care on my lunch today for the sore throat and got the diagnosis. She got snotty with me on the phone, even after explaining all of this (when she should be thanking me for not spreading my germs) and completely lost my business. Bottom line - She *might* be good at skincare, but she IS NOT professional. *Edited to add... Terri sent me a text at 9:45pm to let me know that she would try to rebut this review. This further solidifies just how unprofessional she is. She had my email and could have reached out to me there. Again, there is NO defense for her unprofessionalism in the way she handled my situation. As previously stated, she jumped down my throat when I told her why I cancelled. I just moved to Charlotte and I was looking for a reputable, professional med spa. I have had several VI peels over the years from others. After receiving the same peel from Terri, I received burns on my face, This had NEVER happened to me before. When I finally got a hold of her, her response after yelling at me that I ruined her day off was that I was neurotic because my husband is much younger than me??? Unprofessional Kind ? There was nothing kind about Terri's response. On Saturday, I called her for advice at 8:45am. She did not return my call until 1pm. At that point, I had already been to the doctor who informed me that I had a chemical burn that needed to be treated. I did not return Terri's call because her voicemail did not voice any concern for me what so ever (even after I sent her the pictures), and in fact she told me to "stop googling things on the internet" that I had superficial burns. Again, I have had this procedure done many times in the past with NO burns on my skin, just peeling. Now, I have to hope that these burns heal and do not leave a scar. As for unkind words, I finally called Terri back and I was appauled when I was told that I "ruined her day off" and now her Sunday, and proceeded to tell me I was overreacting because I married younger man and I am insecure ? really? Look at the pictures, I was burned and she could not take a step back beyond her own ego to even apologize or offer any help. I sort of don't want the secret to get out because it will become harder to get an appointment but...Terri is awesome! I have wasted hundreds of dollars on IPL at other places, only to be burned(literally) and have it have zero effect other than making things worse. I decided to give it one more try and I am SO glad I did. When I was a teenager I had amazing skin, peaches and cream gorgeousness. Ever since then? Not so much. At 34 I figured I should just give up because I had sun damage and wrinkles and uneven skin tone, add in rosacea, adult acne and dry patches and you got a mess, not even a hot one. It has been less than a week since my IPL with Terri and my skin GLOWS! It's baby soft, the age spots have almost disappeared, my pores are smaller and the wrinkles are gone except when I smile really cheesy. No more uneven skin tone, the acne is gone, I look ten years younger! Granted, I have also started drinking more water, and I finally found the charger for my Clarisonic so I have begun using that twice a day again, but I have done all that before with nowhere near this sort of a result. I absolutely love Terri. Not only is she very knowledgeable but you can tell that she genuinely cares for her clients. In my late 20s, I started to develop melasma. I have gotten IPL treatments in the past and was happy with the results but eventually reached a point where this wasnt working for my melasma anymore. She recommended a TCA peel. I am one of those people that researches like crazy. My research has made me very weary about TCA for melasma. When I talked to Terri about the peel, she built my confidence back up and explained all the factors that are involved with such a procedure. Terri is very skilled and educated, has state-of-the-art equipment, a beautiful office and very reasonable and affordable pricing. I went back to Regenesis skin spa yesterday and had and IPL treatment (this was my second) and I have to say "I have never been happier with the results. I waited almost 3 weeks to post this review because I was so angry when I left. I went in for my first appt/consultation after seeing how amazing my friends skin looked. My friend looked like a glowing angel- I was so excited about how my skin was going to look. But after meeting and talking to the owner Terri I left without getting anything done. I informed her I was very much a rookie at facial treatments and told her I was very scared/intimidated by peels because of what I've seen on Sex in The City- she informed me that I used a poor analogy and she wasn't going to use battery acid on my face. She then told me she wanted to dermablade my face- scrapes outermost layer off (including hair)- I asked her a question about if it was possible that the hair will grow back dark and corse (I have facial hair problem already)- she rudely told me that if that was the case then every bald man would knocking on her door. There were many rude/unprofessional comments being made to/at me- nothing done to make me comfortable. I told her she was being super aggressive and then I left. She told me that obviously she isn't aggressive because "I wouldn't have all this"! No doubt my friends face looked amazing- she obviously is able to do her job but I'd rather find a place that is relaxing, peaceful, kind and does a good job! Absolutely loved my first appointment! I felt so comfortable and able to express the concerns I was having with my skin, I ended up having dermaplaning done along with Jet Clear! I absolutely loved both of these treatments for my hormonal acne, clogged pores, and oily skin. I am excited to continue on my skin journey with Regensis and get my skin where it needs to be!
