I am writing this review for my wife Andrea as apparently I am the most computer literate member of our household lol. It is not like me to submit an online review, but this one is long overdue. Connie at "The Cutting Edge" has been doing my hair and her wonderful mother has been doing my nails for about 27 years now. She has made me feel special and treated me more like a friend than a client. Since the very first time I walked into her shop, I walked out loving both the beautiful blonde color and the amazing cut she gave me. At one point my roots were looking pretty dark and I convinced myself that I could do it myself; I bought a box of color and turned my hair GRAY!! I'm not sure what was worse, the fact that I had to work the next day or how much I looked like my mother in the mirror. None the less, I called Connie and confessed what I had done. She immediately assured me that she could fix it and asked if I could meet her at the shop later that afternoon. Fixed!! Loved it!! A few years ago, I changed jobs and moved approximately 3 hours away. I knew I would miss her welcoming salon but did not yet know how very much! I went over a year with no color at all and little to no cut. Finally, I broke down and made an appointment at a salon near my new home. I asked for highlights and a cut. Oh, how I hated it - it was not at all cut how I had explained, and I could not even see the very expensive highlights that were put in. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and missed Connie's magical skills. So, after my hair grew out a little, I broke down and called Connie. I was very surprised that just from the sound of my voice she remembered my name and began asking me how I had been - it had been years since I had seen her! She was able to fit me into her busy schedule and I gladly drove the 3 hours to see her that Saturday. We caught up like old friends do after years of separation. As an Essential employee in the times of this pandemic yes I went to get a haircut and color. First off they only allow appointments and when you arrive you are requested to text or call to let stylist know you have arrived. If they are ready for you they allow you to walk in. You are greeted by your stylist and asked the exposure/safety questions and all the employees are wearing masks. They only allow one person at a time to the shampoo bowl, waxing station or dryers. Some were even sitting on the backporch so not to overcrowd. As soon as someone got up there was someone quickly spraying and wiping things down. This is a tough time for everyone but, I feel the environment at Cutting Edge was safe and was practicing good healty protocol. read more

Connie did an amazing job with my hair, along with both of my daughters hair. She was very supportive and accommodating even though I didn't really know what I wanted, my one daughter wanted a last minute perm(that I called to make sure was okay in the morning) and then my other daughter wanted some color added to her hair last minute. All of our hair looks amazing and we had just about everything I could think of done! Connie is skilled, quick and has a tremendous amount of experience. I am traveling through the area and needed a my hair to be cut and styled. She did an outstanding job. I gave her a few ideas. She asked a few questions and knew exactly what I needed. She was easy to trust and truly rocked my hair. I look a 100 times better and its a hairstyle I can easily style myself. I haven't been going to Connie for very long. I went with my boyfriend one afternoon and she was able to take us right away. I had made a couple bad decisions with my hair in the recent past, so I was looking for a fix. Long story short, I needed some serious hair attention. She not only made the impossible possible, but she was also very helpful in pointing me in the right direction on how to get my hair back to good health. After putting off getting haircuts over six months, finally tried Cutting Edge Hair Salon in Indian Trail. The overall experience was fantastic. Both my daughter and I left loving our new look. Will definitely go back for our next trim. I was so comfortable with the cleanliness of the salon, that I opted for a pedicure while waiting for my daughter to get styled! My regular stylist (at another salon) had to cancel my appointment due to illness and I badly needed a haircut before going out of town for a family funeral. Based on a google search for nearby salons with good ratings, I called Cutting Edge. Connie was able to take me right way and she really listened to me and cut my hair exactly as requested. Connie is amazing! She styled my hair exactly like the picture I brought in. She even fit me into her schedule on the day I asked to make an appointment! It only took her about 45 minutes to shampoo, cut and style my long, thick hair. If you're thinking about getting your hair done, I would definitely recommend The Cutting Edge Salon. read more

I've been getting my hair done for the past 2 years and she has never let me down to put a smile on my face when I walk out the door.
