My skin felt amazing for days afterwards, and I noticed a difference, but it really sunk in when friends I saw later that week complimented my skin too! Throughout the process, it became increasingly apparent that treating women with my skin tone and hair type was not something this business had significant experience with. Despite following the recommended treatment plan and attending multiple appointments, I did not receive the results I was promised. Because I was not seeing any improvement, I canceled my final two appointments. When I called, the receptionist apologized and stated that a manager would contact me. The manager did reach out, apologized for my experience, and told me she would speak with the laser technician to review my progress and treatment history. Unfortunately, after that conversation, I never heard back. There was no follow-up, no explanation, no concern for the lack of results, and no effort to address my experience. What disappointed me most was not only the lack of results, but the lack of customer care. Once my concerns were raised, communication completely stopped. It left me feeling as though the focus was on collecting payments rather than ensuring clients achieve successful outcomes. Based on my personal experience, I would encourage women of color, particularly African-American women with coarse hair, to thoroughly research a provider's experience treating diverse skin tones and hair types before committing to a treatment package. She moved with the urgency of a snail on Ambien. No rush. No apology. Not even a flicker of awareness that there was a literal line of people waiting to be served. 6:15 rolls around. That's nearly an hour of my life I will never get back. And when she finally decided to start working again, she called someone else. Someone whose appointment was after mine. When I spoke up--because clearly, the concept of a schedule here is a joke--she looked at me like I was inconveniencing her. No apology. No accountability. No attempt to make it right. Let me be crystal clear: this place does not care about you. They do not care about your time, your money, or your existence. You'd be better off shaving at home.
