Been trying to come to this establishment for years, but the hours that I work, I can never really make it finally was able to make it there on time. They close at six. I showed up at about 520. The doors were locked when the owner or whoever the guy was came to the door that he immediately came with an attitude cussed me out, told me that they were closed. Only thing I was trying to do is explain to them that I was trying. Spend money in their establishment, but the owner continued to berate me and cuss at me and reached in his waistband like he was gonna pull something out and possibly attack me and threatened to fight me I don't think this is an alkaline place I think it's an acidic place with acidic people. I would not shop at this establishment because these people treat you like crap. They do not have good energy and wouldn't even take my business when I showed up 40 minutes before it was time for them to close highly do not recommend. read more

I am so surprised no one else has written a review on this place. This is one of the best vegan restaurants I've tried in Jacksonville. The food is so flavorful, and I honestly felt satisfied after eating my food. I am in love with the jerk Philly with a side of plantain. The restaurant is also super clean, and the service is top tier. This place is located near a salon I go to, so after I get my hair done, I like to head over and grab some lunch. This place sells herbal products which is nice is if you like to use homeopathic remedies. I bought a jar of sea-moss here. Fair warning that sea-moss tastes like the sea, but I felt good after taking it. read more

If I could create my own version of Barnes & nobles it would look like this restaurant. The vibes are immaculate as you walk in you are greeted by beautiful art, a herbal display & warm ambience. I was told it's a free daily tea. I ordered the reggae roots bowl & a pineal popper juice. Please be patient & kind as it's a small passionate & knowledgeable team. I used my time reading some of the books laid out on healing & drinking free tea. The food was amazing, flavorful & I was given complimentary free fruit with my order. I forgot my friends name but I wish they were open everyday so I can experience the energy the place carries. read more

Very delicious vegan food!! Their portion sizes are very generous and I love how flavorful and fresh the food is. I always love Irie Caribbean flavors and am so happy there is a vegan place in Jax with these options. The service is great and employees are very nice, I love that you know you are supporting a locally-owned small business. They often have free teas at the front to drink with your meal, which is very nice. You don't see customer service like that anymore, adding another unique touch to Reggae Roots. The blueberry muffins are delicious and a must-try. The environment is very laid back and truly reflects the peaceful Reggae vibe. The artwork is absolutely beautiful inside, there is a wall with an enormous mural that is just stunning. They also have a wide range of teas and herbs on one of the walls, so check that out when you stop in. Reggae Roots is an absolute hidden gem and I strongly recommend anyone to try it!! read more

This place has the best customer service I have EVER experienced at ANY establishment no comparison. Being pregnant people help you out here and there but they went above and beyond you would have thought I was one of their wives like seriously, very professionally but so kind and amazing it's like family. They treat every customer like they are the only ones who matter there was a couple in front of me and a man waiting after me we all got individual unique experiences that were just top tier. After time was spent time with the couple ordering their food the man came from behind the counter sat at the table with me and my sun who is a true little 2 year old boy running all over the place and being a loud kid lol let me know what was out for the day gave me great recommendations and the food was so good I had the mushroom panini with a side salad my sun had watermelon juice and I had a melon smoothie all fresh and all delicious. They had a tea out I didn't try but the lady in the couple ahead of me kept going back you could see the fresh herbs in the container AND a they sell herbs and teas as well! Before our food was ready my sun was served a fresh fruit salad to keep him occupied for a while, the hospitality was just amazing. After our food was ready the chef made sure I got a look at his masterpiece before bagging it, the man who took our order and also cooked helped me out by walking me to my car and even strapping my sun in. When I tell you this was the best experience I've ever had I will definitely be coming back. My sandwich was delicious my sun and I were fighting over it all he kept saying was " good bread" lol he even ate my salad lol thank you guys again for all you generosity, hospitality and kindness my husband works away from home so it was a pleasure to know there is still kindness in the word and people still look out for women.
