I picked out three different places to go and decided to go to this one first as I made a route that was the easiest to follow. I was extremely impressed with his office. He does not go to a different room to weigh your gold. He does everything in front of you. It is also impeccably clean. Not a big office, but everything is done in front of you. I never like the idea of them taking your jewelry in the back room because you're never sure if you're getting your jewelry back if you decide you don't want to sell it. I had an idea of what it was worth and what I should get dealing with AI. I also want to mention meeting Stuart was a treat in itself. I did not realize you had to have a reservation.. Judy, the receptionist suggested I call him gave me his phone number and I did. He was wonderful and said he would be there in 15 minutes. I had a wonderful visit with him and he he seem to be a very nice man. I had no complaints either about the amount that he offered. It was a little bit less than what AI suggested, but all in all I never ended up going to the other places I decided to take his offer because he did everything in front of me. Because everything was so impeccably clean. And because Stuart was so accommodating to me. I didn't think anybody would ever go over the amount AI suggested anyway so I took the offer.

It's in an office building with many, many other tenants, and no signs telling customers where the business was located. The woman doing the appraisals seemed to be well trained, but she had no ability to negotiate the extremely low prices she placed on my jewelry. I understand that I will take a loss on the items I sell (there's a huge markup in new diamonds, for example). But, the amount of money she was willing to give me was insultingly low. I left the office upset, and felt I could have easily been scammed. I'd advise jewelry sellers find a business where the person who will be buying your diamonds, gold, etc be the decision maker/owner. They are the only people who have negotiating power in these transactions.

However, I came in here to pass the time while awaiting another store to open, and was blown away by the quality of their wares and service. The customer service here was great! There was only one person serving customers at the time, but he was great at pointing out where I can find different products. I happen to be a fan of cameras and was looking for lenses, and found quite a few items for sale that were selling for a fraction of the regular price online. In addition to that, they had all kinds of other things in stock, including musical instruments, DVD's, games, bicycles, and more. I will think twice of avoiding going into a pawn shop the next time I encounter one.
