They came back with a piece of paper with a weight and 14k. Verified. Today I went in to sell the chain to an old lady off marketplace and thought I'd go there because she wanted to meet at a pawnshop to verify it. The manager comes back after I handed him the chain and says to the old lady in Spanish that it was plated. Not only did I miss out on 700 bucks of profit but I felt horrible being accused of trying to sell plated jewelry. I took it to be verified with a gun and it most certainly was 14k solid gold. All Karat Chains 10,14,18 etc have steel springs in the clasp. Springs cant be made out of gold. So he was uneducated at best but going to the lady and telling her in Spanish not to purchase it because its plated was unacceptable behavior. The only place on the 24 inch chain was the clasp,also 14k but with a steel spring. On top of that they only pay people 40% of scrap on gold. Literally anywhere else will pay more. Hopefully this helps people make better choices.

Quick summary of a very professional and pleasant transaction. Arrived, greeted at the door - invited to a comfortable, super clean office. Worked with Dart in assessing the item's value. Dart was thorough and back up support from Mickey was welcomed and kind. After validating the items authenticity, they quickly worked (read minutes) with their buying team and made a fair and reasonable offer. We proceeded to lunch to digest the offer, during which the general manager Chad phoned from another location.
