Upon walking in, it was a very aesthetically pleasing and clean office. The staff was very friendly and did the most to make sure that I was comfortable after my bad experience with another dentistry. When we first moved and had to get a new dentist, my new dentist demanded to know who had done my fillings because it was some of the best work he'd ever seen. That day, he called him to talk to him about his technique for fillings. Where Dr. Clark struggles is with chair-side manners. It isn't too terrible with patients, although my wife and I both had a couple of interesting episodes. The biggest problem I had was how he interacted with his staff. He's got a passion for teeth and he's a perfectionist (which I guess is a good thing) but he demands that perfection from his staff and on more than one occassion had one of them in tears over something. That's just not cool. So if you want the best possible work done, he's probably a good choice, but try not to take anything too personally. Eventually, we had to leave and of course when we did, he wanted to charge to transfer the records to another local dentist... which is also not cool.

I called because my Invisalign retainer is starting to tear and wanted to understand the process for ordering a replacement. Angelina said she wasn't sure and that I would need to come in. I explained that I now live over an hour away in Atlanta and was simply hoping to speak with someone before making the drive. As I tried to understand why someone couldn't just explain the process over the phone or return my call, she became increasingly frustrated with me. I wasn't asking for a diagnosis or treatment over the phone, I was just trying to find out what my options were before driving over an hour. I even said I was happy to wait for a call from Dr. Nikola or anyone on the team whenever they had time. Instead, I left the conversation feeling like I was inconveniencing her for asking a reasonable question. It was an unexpectedly dismissive interaction, especially considering I've been a patient for years. I hope it was just an isolated customer service issue.
