Hands down, best sandwich place in Mobile. Friendly atmosphere. Can't wait to go back

Chicken salad sandwich on toasted sourdough bread with fruit.

I found this place while traveling through Mobile. When we pulled off the exit and began following the GPS instructions, we were not sure we were in the right place. It is in the middle of an industrial area (which is genius by the way!) but had us 2nd guessing. The we rounded the corner and you can't miss it. We went on a holiday about 30 minutes before they closed and missed all the crowds. As we looked over the menu Regina's husband offered a few suggestions, and I have to say, he didn't steer us wrong! We had a grilled cheese, tuna melt (special), and the chicken salad blt on toasted sourdough because in his words "the toasted sourdough is just a better vehicle for the chicken salad" . I also had fresh fruit as a side, and even in January it was delicious! I'm positive this will be a stop on our next trip through.

Yum! Regina's is a solid lunch option! As a Mobilian transplant, Regina's was all the rage for lunch hype, and I'm pleased to report that I can agree! I wasn't too enthused with my side (a beans and rice deal-meh) as much, but I truly enjoyed the turkey sandwich special. Flavors were on point! The service was fast and friendly, and the restaurant itself is quaint with a southern flair. All in all, I'd add it to the rotation if I were you.

I love Regina's! Just moved back to the area and was worried when I saw they'd shuttered up the old Gov't location but found out they were opened up at a new location near the downtown airport and was very pleased! The quality is just as good as ever!! This is my favorite lunch spot in Mobile.

Same wonderful restaurant but in a new location at Brookley Field on 15th Street. I had lunch with a friend and we split the Tom Turkey sandwich so we could enjoy a whole piece each of the decadent Mississippi Mud cake. Great customer service!!

10/10 -- We'll definitely be back!…read more My husband and I don't eat pork, so we were excited to try the Muffanotta, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. It was delicious and made with some of the best bread I've ever tasted. I also ordered a bowl of chili, which was hearty, flavorful, and generously packed with beef. We're not usually soda drinkers, but we decided to try the house-made root beer, served in a frosted glass. It was incredible--rich, refreshing, and unlike any root beer we've had before. The kind gentleman who took our order was genuinely delighted to see how much we enjoyed everything and even surprised us with a second root beer on the house, which was such a thoughtful touch. The little market was another highlight. It was filled with unique, wholesome products, many of which are sourced from the community's farms and workshops around the country and the world. It made for a fun and interesting shopping experience. And whatever you do, don't leave without trying the sweet potato pound cake. It was easily one of the most delicious desserts I've ever had--moist, rich, and completely unforgettable. Between the outstanding food, warm hospitality, and unique atmosphere, this was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

When I first went to Yellow Deli I tried the Deli Rose. It was really good. There was a sauce on the sandwich that had a kick in it that made the sandwich taste delicious. This time I had the Cajun. The pork was seasoned right, and everything worked together the way it should. But honestly, the bread is what sold me. They make it fresh in-house, and you can tell. It's light, airy, with just the right bite--exactly what a banh mi is supposed to be. The spot itself is small, but clean and well kept. It's more of a walk-up-and-order setup, not a sit-down-with-a-server kind of place, which I actually don't mind for this style of food. Just know what you're walking into. Drinks are grab-and-go from a cooler--sodas, water, tea--so don't expect fountain drinks or freshly brewed sweet tea. That said, they do have some interesting specialty drinks on the menu like fresh sugar cane with durian and kumquat, which I'll probably try next time just out of curiosity. great food, solid spot, and absolutely worth the stop. Only negative was low traffic flow at lunch time, ya'll come on and support these folks. If this place were to close it would be a terrible loss. May have been slower due to MLk holiday. If you haven't tried yet then DO IT, you will not regret it. Fresh and great tasting, from the bread (maybe the best I have ever had) to the toppings. I cannot say enough good about these delightful sandwiches. Did notice spring rolls after we ordered and paid, cannot wait to try them next visit. Service was excellent with friendly staff and spotless dining area. Cannot list anything I would want different, a perfect lunch quick and price below the daily average.
